Although I ended up not using Liu's services, I really appreciated his honesty, transparency, and promptness during that emergency. He told me it was a "simple power issue" and said it would cost around $50 to fix. A few hours later, he called me back and suddenly claimed there were multiple problems--now the motherboard "looked suspicious," and he said he might need to order special parts. I asked for proof or photos, but he just talked in circles, using a bunch of technical words to confuse me. It felt like he was making up issues just to raise the price. He said, "I already opened it up, so I have to charge you either way," and then mentioned a new fee--conveniently just under $100. I ended up paying more than double what he originally quoted, and my computer still wasn't fully working when I picked it up. It honestly felt like a scam. Told 20 minutes to replace the batteries. They performed the battery swap. However, with one iPhone - the home button was shorted by the new battery. A 10% issue problem.
