So I'm going to have to change my review here from a positive to a negative. I was shopping around to fix the screen on my iPhone 11 and I was quoted prices in the $300 range but this business offered to do it for $135. So I took the phone in and had the screen replaced and everything was good for about three weeks or so. After that the screen became on responsive and when that happened I immediately understood. These people will replace your screen and it will work for a small amount of time but ultimately it will stop working ,and when it does , I would imagine that they will not take accountability for it so I'm not even going to bring the device back to them. I would imagine that if I did bring the device back this would be the two possible scenarios: 1 - It's your fault because it's been three weeks 2 - We just don't know what the problem can be and there can be many reasons so we will hold your phone and try to figure it out but of course we won't figure it out and will not accept accountability. If you have an expensive device and you need a screen replacement you'll have to fork out the money to pay for the right equipment otherwise you shouldn't bother. If you have a high-end device don't take it here to be repaired because the repairs will not last long as they use subpar replacement parts that don't last very long. Go to Apple or a reputable third-party repair. read more

My dad use to come here for years whenever we had a computer issue so now that mine was out of commission I figured I'd give it a try for myself. I needed the video card on my Mac replaced because it was going and once it did my Mac wouldn't load past the intro Apple logo. After dropping it off I got a phone call a few days later saying what needed to be done (confirming my suspicions) and I agreed to the terms. I was issued a reciept with my name, date, type of computer, etc. Then I never heard from them again. I found it odd that they never called me back to pick up my laptop. This happened the previous time I used them also. I always had to call them to see if my item was ready for me to pick it up. I can only guesstimate as to how long a fix will take. It could be two days or it could be two weeks. I don't know if they have to special order some part from Apple or whatever. Just wish they called me to tell me my item was fixed. Nevertheless their services are cheap, fast and reliable. Their customer service is on point and very friendly. All i'm saying is call a brotha back, don't leave me hangin'. ..they also get props for liking my Wu-tang shirt. read more

Two things you did wrong: 1) your employee told me the motherboard was faulty and I needed the phone to be replaced. The phone worked after I put it in a case that unbent the phone. 2) you didn't replace the water resistant adhesive that Apple replaces when taking apart any iPhone for repair. My phone was also missing screws and a metal piece that protects the motherboard, according to a five-star mobile repair shop I visited. They replaced all these parts and told me my phone got damaged because there was no adhesive. Since I purchased my phone brand new from a retailer and your the only repair shop I visited prior to the missing parts, it's obvious that you or your technicians didn't replace them after taking apart my phone. Who cares if you don't take money if you didn't fix my phone and left it in worse condition than it was before? Not to mention, the horrible recommendation to buy a new phone when my phone is working 100% fine now. read more

I waded into the ocean without realizing I had my iphone 6 plus in my swimming trunks. So obviously that broke my iphone in a major way. I hadn't backed up my phone for a couple of months so I brought my phone here to at least get the phone in a state where it'll power on to backup the data. Technicians at Hyratech were able to get the phone to power on and with a new working display so that I can take it home with me to sync. They had to replace a bunch of parts, including the display. I brought the phone home, and I was able to backup successfully! I already purchased a new iphone 7plus, so I'll just use the repaired phone as my backup phone. The bare minimum data recovery costs $100 if the phone is in good enough condition for them to just recover the data. If they can't recover the data, then they won't charge anything! It's a great deal if you are ever in a situation like this. Data recovery means that you have to give them your encrypted data password though.. and you bring your new phone to their shop and they'll transfer the data to your new phone for you. This does mean that they'll have all your phone data, so I wasn't comfortable doing that. I did give them my passcode, but I don't think there is a way around it. They need to be able to get into the phone to test it if it powers on. So they replaced a few more parts and got my phone working for some extra $$. Including tax, it cost $167 and about 5 days. Overall, it's been a good experience. They are very busy, and they don't like idle talk. What matters to me is that they got my data back. I even told them that I'd be willing to pay $200 to get the phone to power on so that I can synch the phone at home rather than them accessing my data. They charged me less than that, so I am cool with it. They are good guys, and they earned all my future mobile phone repair business. read more

The other day I heard a crack as my iPhone slid from a counter and fell onto kitchen tile. Great. The screen was cracked and part of the LCD screen under had odd coloring. I needed to get the screen fixed fast, and after looking through Yelp, I found the reviews, price range, and location for this store to be the most promising. Although it was a Saturday evening, I was served quickly, given a (great) price, and was told the phone repair would be complete within an hour. I returned a couple hours later and picked up my phone which was good as new. There was no odd coloring on the LCD screen. I was also able to check-in and received a free tempered glass protector which a staff member put on my phone for me. The staff was also friendly and clear about an additional fee for using a debit card to pay. I don't think you'll find better service or a better deal anywhere else. I'll be sure to refer all my clumsy friends, lol. read more

Apparently this place and places like it have this little scam going where they'll fix screen on your late model iPhone or android but the screen won't last very long. Their hope is that the screen will last past their warranty which is 90 days.If you're going to go to this place or another one like it you should ask them exactly how long the screen is supposed to last and have them put it in writing that way when the screen dies you can report them to the Better Business Bureau. If enough people report them then they'll stop doing it. If you were a victim of this scam you should contact the Better Business Bureau and report these people. Bad business. read more

Fairly quick and efficient service. When I dropped off my phone the repair tech said come back in 30 minutes, I let him know I'd be back closer to an hour, however when I returned he was finishing up so I waited another 5 minutes. They charged a very fair price on my iPhone screen repair and screen protector. Only thing that was strange about the service was that they didn't really have a security measure when taking my phone in for repair. They took down my email and an alternative phone number to contact for when my repair was ready, however I'm not sure if that would be enough from someone else picking up my phone. Perhaps taking a photocopy of an ID to match for pickup? Then give the copy back to the client. Overall positive experience, repair is holding up so far. read more

I was honestly freaking out cause I've had heard how expensive it is to replace a screen especially for an iPhone but this place was a life saver. I dropped my phone and came in to repair the crack screen, which they said will take a day. Fantastic! I went back several days later and they informed it wasn't done and I should come back in a couple of days. Ok that's fine -- this time I called them, to make sure they have it ready before I head down there. They informed me the phone wasn't even registered in the system and have not started on my phone yet. I would have to wait another week because they are going to order the phone screen now (didn't have in stock). This is about 7 days when they told me this. I finally got my phone back after 2 week. I paid $100 to repair the screen and there are a half dozen repair shops in the area that could have done it cheaper (I called them) and faster. The repair was bad as well. There was a gap between the phone screen and the phone itself. It peeled open a little and I saw light coming out of the sides of the phone. Number of visits: Three times? When my Samsung Galaxy S6 Active had a damaged charging port, a co-worker of mine referred me to "a place on Grand Avenue". She was and still is a nice lady... Ha! I remember now: I had tried two other places to get the stupid phone fixed. "Stupid" because it was difficult finding a place to get it fixed. Who has Active phones? Maybe I'm the one who's stupid! Those two places failed me miserably. It was like going around, trying to find a cure nobody had. Hyratech took my phone and were able to fix the damaged charging port. I commend them for trying and actually fixing the problem. However, a new problem arose. My phone, until today, has had poor signal; a problem that didn't exist prior to the repair. Phone calls can't get through to me. I could only receive the voice mail left. When I dial a number, it would take 30 seconds to a minute to connect. Phone calls would have poor reception. Other than that, the phone is still operational. But fix one problem and another problem pops up; and what a problem to have. Because of the amount of time I spent looking to getting this phone fixed, I didn't bother going back for another repair. However, there was another instance. My brother had a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 that wouldn't charge / power on. I left the phone at Hyratech. It was almost a week before they deemed it irreparable. I tried texting them back for an update (because they texted me first for the password) and I never got a reply. I wasn't the one who was becoming impatient. After those two experiences, I wouldn't say I was truly satisfied. What else? The waiting time in store on more than one occasion did get to me, and I would be the only one on line. Two and a half stars out of five. They're 1 for 3 in my experience. A batting average that would fly in baseball, but not with me. Will I return? Excellent service! My computer broke down so I called before I came here to get a quote. The gentleman who spoke with me was very patient while I described the problem I had. I was told the price (which was very affordable) and decided to take my desktop into the shop for them to work on it. Stay away from this place! After they " repaired" my broken screen with not original materials, my phone that used to work fine, became completely irresponsive. Also, there are small side gaps between the phone's glass screen and the frame of the phone. Although their price was cheaper, it was too expensive to pay to have my phone completely broken. Before I brought this phone to Hyratech, it had a cracked screen, however it worked perfectly fine and I was able to make calls. Now, - this is history. Also, be aware,that they prefer you to pay cash for repairs unless you are willing to pay 3.75% surcharge for using the credit card. And, although they give you repair "warranty" , it proved to be not useful.
