The gentleman at the counter gave me a price quote and assured me it would only take about an hour, so I told him I'd be back the next day. I returned as planned and handed the phone over. Thankfully, it turned out to just be a screen issue after all! The repair itself was done incredibly quickly and efficiently. He even let me know to come back if I ran into any issues with his work, but everything has been perfect so far and I highly doubt I'll have any problems. The quality of work and the speed make it worth it, but the prices were definitely a bit higher than I initially expected. I ultimately decided on 4 stars because they charge an extra fee if you pay with a credit card, on top of the regular tax. Depending on what you're getting fixed, that credit card fee plus tax can easily add an extra $20+ onto your quoted price. I know a lot of restaurants are starting to do this nowadays, but I wasn't expecting it at a repair shop and wish I had known in advance so I could decide if I wanted to use a different payment method to avoid the surcharge. Fortunately I was able to do so. Overall, they do fantastic, fast work, and the customer service is great! Just be sure to bring cash or an alternative payment method if you want to save a few bucks on the fees!

I even went back to him weeks later for a screen protector. Everything looked and worked great for 3 months until it didn't. The screen started to glitch when I set it to full brightness then it started to flash and glitch with any movement. Finally my screen just failed. An ideal place would at least have a 90-day warranty or at least try to fix it, especially for a returning customer. He definitely recognized me because I was there 3 times within the past 3 months. Who would want to come back 3 times anyways? He had no intention whatsoever to help me. I asked if he could just check on the screen but he didn't bother answering any questions or concerns. Instead he was rude and I, the customer, had to ask "So how can we fix this?" He wanted $250 AGAIN to make me pay for a new screen. Why would I do that if the first one completely failed? Fool me once. Tuh! He just lost a loyal customer and I cannot recommend this place. You will feel regretful. Just go to the Apple Store so you won't lose out on your money.

Unfortunately, my experience at Jay Repair was inadequate and unprofessional in several key areas. While the conversation began respectfully, the service itself fell short of reasonable expectations. I had to wait over an hour to have my screen replaced a second time because the first display installed was not designed for the iPhone 14 Pro. It was a screen intended for the iPhone 14, not the Pro model. This mistake should not happen at a repair shop, especially when model-specific hardware differences are well documented. This exact issue happened to me previously with an iPhone 11 Pro in 2023, and unfortunately, it has now happened again. For clarity: There is only one correct display type for iPhone Pro and Pro Max models--the Super Retina XDR display. There is no legitimate "lower HD" version for Pro models. Apple does not promote or support such distinctions on their website. Anyone familiar with Apple technology understands that software and hardware are tightly integrated, and Apple updates each device specifically. That's why repair shops must provide accurate, up-to-date information about replacement screens--especially for newer models like the iPhone 14 Pro, 15 Pro, and 16 Pro, which require Super Retina XDR displays exclusively. As a certified technician myself and a long-term Apple user since the iPhone 3GS, I am well aware of how Apple operates. Despite the inconvenience, delay, and incorrect installation, I was still charged full price, when a price adjustment would have been appropriate--at minimum as compensation for the error and time lost. This is why I'm deducting two stars. I also made the technician aware of excessive heat generation after the screen installation, which is a serious concern. While the shop policy states that a 15-minute repair is not guaranteed, I had already waited far beyond that and should not have been charged again under these circumstances. To be fair, the technician remained calm and mindful, which is why this review stands at 2.5 stars rather than lower. I had also called 20-25 minutes in advance to let the shop know I was on my way, yet the correct display was not available in-store, causing an additional 49-minute delay. I documented this on video as well. I don't want to discredit you as a person, but the service itself reflects a lack of up-to-date technical understanding, which is concerning for a repair shop owner. Technology evolves constantly, and repair practices must evolve with it. We all learn every day--but staying current is essential in this line of work.

so as a new yorker I am always in hurry and always either breaking or lossing my phone... insurance can rack up and become overwhelming dealing with customer service... I was going on a trip and needed my screen fixed. I only had 36 hours at most. I looked on .line to see any places that could help me.. all repair shops for my service provider had recently closed and I HAD to use a third party insurance company that would take another 24hours after the claim was accepted. So I enter into Chinatown into a little mall that smelled of pizza... I walked up the stairs into a small shop and met the nicest guys I could have asked for... unfortunately the repair.man was gone but I could leave my phone and it would be ready tomorrow. in faith I left my phone.. either they could order a new screen for me because it was not in stock or if I had a screen they would just charge to fix it. (lucky for me I did!) so I came back the next day after 4.. like he said and my phone was fixed.. $40!!! phone work perfectly and I was happy.. of course a couple months later I crack my screen again but I wait cause my contract is almost done.. then to true fashion everything breaks... thinking its my charger... I try to fix .my self.. after.three chargers and no phone I break done and bring it to Iphonerepairstationnyc... I now encounter the phone repair man also and they r both brilliant and nice... so once again they are willing to fix my phone the screen and the charger... SUNNYS CELLPHONE REPAIR STATION IS TERRIBLE. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE. Because I live closer to this place, I decided to go here instead of my normal place (http://www.yelp.com/biz/d-and-q-computer-new-york-3). I also thought it would be a little cheaper because Chinatown tends to be cheaper than other neighborhoods in Manhattan, which is wasn't ($80 for a cracked screen, actually $10 more than the place I normally go to in the East Village). This was a terrible decision. I left my phone overnight because I wasn't in time to pick it up before the closing time. The next day, the worker handed me my phone unfixed and not the slightest bit different. Once I finally got his attention, he realized the previous employee didnt fix my phone, he looked at it and claimed that this repair would take 2 hours, instead of the normal 30 minutes, and therefore he refused to do it. I didnt understand this because IT IS A REPAIR SHOP. Why would he not just charge me more? After a day of waiting for my phone, which i NEED every day for work, I decided to give up on this place, and took it to the place further from my home. This place said that the shop in Chinatown tried to pry out my battery without removing screws, probably thinking that the battery was what needed to be replaced, even though IT WAS THE CRACKED SCREEN. They were very close to ruining my $900 4-month old iPhone 5. GO TO THE EAST VILLAGE SHOP I LINKED INSTEAD. They have fixed my phone about 4 times in the past year, and are fast, easy, and cheap. I had contacted the shop through Yelp's messaging system a few days ago. My phone had a broken charging port on a TCL phone. I got a response within 15 minutes and a quote of an estimated $50. I got down to the shop yesterday afternoon. The gentleman that I spoke directly with was at the counter. He took my phone, found the port and did the repair while I waited. He remembered my message, and stuck to the price he gave. The whole thing, start to finish, took about 30 minutes. I couldn't have asked for better service as far as the time it took, and the these are good people. Most cell phone repair places only know or carry parts for the more popular brands (Samsung, iPhone, Google, Motorola). This place does repairs on all different brands of phones. It's located on the Lower East Side, near the entrance to the Williamsburg Bridge. If you are looking for a place with good pricing, and great service, here is a place worth going to. read more

Pretty cool guys. I brought in my Samsung Galaxy II, the third one t-mobile sent me in 4 months (T-Mobile is notorious in sending out unchecked, refurbished phones). This phone the charging port wasn't working. They changed the usb charging port, put on a new one. It didn't work. They said they didn't have the equipment to test and fix the micro electronic componants, but they also did not charge me for the two hours the technician spent working on the phone. I've since dumped Samsung. They can keep their flimsy, battery sucking, cheap overpriced phone. As one reviewer said, it's no longer Sunny, but as I sat there waiting for my my phone, the customers who came in were really happy with their service. read more

THE BEST. Immediate FAST service. Great. I had a broken LCD for a Galaxy Note 5. Sent email for quotes to 5 shops. Response within 10 mins from this shop. All others price was $20 to $40 more or 'had to order part' crap. Got there at 12, left at 12:45...and it only took that long because customers kept coming in and dude had to help them out (which I didnt mind because it IS a business...you cant let $ walk out the door!). This smartphone repair shop is LITERALLY the BEST repair shop in all of NYC. Stopnfix has the best prices available to replace a broken screen on your smartphone or tablet. Who else charges under $100 to replace a broken iPhone 6 screen. Ok maybe your friend, but do you really trust your friend to switch out your iPhone screen he/she learned on YouTube? Had the best service here and I have never settled for any other place for fixing anything that has to do with my phone repairs. Same thing with keeping an eye out to monitor the kind of content that my children have access to and with the monitoring packages that - raydi8ion . co m has been providing me, I have been able to monitor their social media, web history and so on, even without them knowing about the process. My iphone with a Mophie case dropped out of my pocket when I was riding my motorcycle at 40 MPH through the Lincoln Tunnel. I kid you not, but I (with the help of the NYPD) went inside the tunnel to get it and it had been run over by traffic. I screen was shattered into a million pieces....BUT IT STILL WORKED! I read the other reviews posted here and ran down to their store, walked in and $70 and 30 mins later it's like all of that never happened...looks brand new. I love that they're open on Sundays too. This place was a great find. My Nexus 5 was bootlooping because of a faulty power button. I had taken it to another place and spent hours getting only a temporary fix--they wanted $160 to fix it permanently (with used parts, no less). I took it down to Stop N Fix and he replaced the part in 15 minutes for $40 (after a $5 discount for making an appointment online). Had a broken lightning port on my iPhone 5. Apple Store and Tekserve both said they could not replace it and I'd have to buy a new phone, that was my only choice. Nope. These guys replaced the port in 20 minutes (at most, might have been less). A heck of a lot less money than buying a new phone. I had an issue with my volume and power buttons on a Nokia windows phone they were fast and friendly. I unfortunately had to go back to have the buttons completely replaced because they weren't just loose they were damaged but they didn't charge me extra. This place is great. They've fixed my phone's cracked screen three times--always fast and proficient. And then one time my phone wouldn't charge properly--I had to jiggle the cable around. An ideal place would at least have a 90-day warranty or at least try to fix it, especially for a returning customer. He definitely recognized me because I was there 3 times within the past 3 months. Who would want to come back 3 times anyways? He had no intention whatsoever to help me. I asked if he could just check on the screen but he didn't bother answering any questions or concerns. Instead he was rude and I, the customer, had to ask "So how can we fix this?" He wanted $250 AGAIN to make me pay for a new screen. Why would I do that if the first one completely failed? Fool me once. Tuh! He just lost a loyal customer and I cannot recommend this place. You will feel regretful. Just go to the Apple Store so you won't lose out on your money.

This is hands down a great group. Shattered the screen on my phone and found them on Yelp so figured if my fellow yelpers love them, why not try it out. It was definitely cheaper than paying the deductible on the craptastic insurance I had on my phone plan. Very thorough at explaining the process, time needed to repair the damage and pricing is very reasonable. They recognize repeat customers with generous discounts too. Love that this is a family run business as well. Beyond happy with my repair!

When I took it to apple, they said the entire back of the phone had to be replaced for ($299), which was well out of my price range. However, when I took it to iPhone Repair NYC (they should try to change their name to something that makes them more unique!), they matched the price of $45 that I had found elsewhere and was able to show them. Normally they said it was around $80 I believe, which I likely still would have paid if someone had recommended this spot because either way it was cheaper than Apple. In my case, I was just looking for as cheap as I could find with good reviews, and with the price match they met both of those criteria. I definitely appreciated it. One thing I didn't like was that they have a texting number/hotline, which is where we went over the price match. When I got there, they acted like they had no idea and I had to pull it up. I think this was just due to one person being on the phone and it not necessarily being the same person in the office, but this actually happened both times I went, and it's never fun to be startled after traveling to get to a location and think you've already wasted your time. However, in the end, they followed through and I'm glad I had it in writing. I got the glass of the lens replaced and it appeared to have been done well. Unfortunately, less than 4 months later it broke again, but when I reached out expressing my disappointment, they offered to fix it and only charge me for the part, not labor. Again, this was truly appreciated. The office itself is a TINY room, that was extremely dirty (there was food everywhere). However, since there was a waiting room, I didn't spend long in there. They have two locations not far from each other, one on the east side and one on the west. Both have wifi in the waiting room, which is helpful because you can bring a laptop and just hang out while they fix it. Their turnaround times are much faster than they've advertised in my experience, which is a pleasant surprise and I'm sure is sometimes more accurate, so I understand them giving people a longer estimate. Overall it was not a bad experience despite the few setbacks along the way!
