My experience with Ally at CMC Hair Studio was amazing! First a little back story: Six months ago I gave birth to a little baby boy. I gained a bunch of weight and after a bunch of sleepless nights I let myself go a little bit. I went to go get my hair done with my usual hair lady. It was not what I wanted at all, I don't know if it was a miscommunication or what but I left feeling terrible. All I wanted was to feel better about myself and I came out of there feeling worse and stressed because I had to figure out how to style my hair to hide the imperfections. I shared my story with a coworker and she suggested CMC Hair Studio. CMC Hair Studio is a woman owned business! It is clean and beautifully decorated. It has pretty good reviews, so I decided to take a chance and my stylist Kayla was so nice to fit me in same day, she told me they dont usually do walk-ins but she was nice enough to work me in. She was very nice, and explained every thing she was doing. I wanted a Balayage and short hair, which is a big change for me, I have always had long hair, she did such a great job! This was my first time at this salon. My hair dresser(I loved him!) that I had been going to for years moved away so I made an appointment with Jessica without knowing how it would work out. WOW, am I glad that I did!!! She did an A+++ job! The color is different in a great way and she trimmed and styled it in a way that was wonderful! I am much older than the ladies that pose for pictures in this add but I am here to say that us "mature" women are very well taken care of there. She stated she would give me updates to see if she could still attend me but didn't end up getting back to me until 2.5 hours after our scheduled time. She was not flexible with rescheduling given that I am not from the area and refused to give me back my deposit because it was nonrefundable. I just want to start off by saying that I don't really like to leave negative reviews. I made an appointment with VANESSA to get my new extensions toned and a root touch up. She gave me an estimated price range and I was okay with it so I booked the appointment. I made sure to clarify what the estimate included, it included a root touch up, toning and cutting of my hair AND extensions. When I showed up to the appointment she was busy with another client but not once did she come to talk to me and explain that so I waited for almost an hour to be seated. While I was waiting the owner was nice enough to come up to us and offer us water. Once I sat on her chair I reminded her of what I wanted, I had asked for a treatment to be applied with the bleach (which was extra) she told me she didn't apply it with the bleach that it was a deep conditioning treatment after the service. Anyway, she foiled my hair and put me under the drier for a while. She checked my hair and told me it was ready. Here's where everything went downhill. She was washing my hair and she would continuously get clumps of hair from the sink and throw them in the trash can. When I asked her if something was wrong and if my hair was okay she said it was fine. Then she toned me and again washed my hair and the same routine. I was pretty afraid at this point but I was still trusting she was telling me the truth. Once we got back to her chair she began to brush my hair at which point my hair started snapping and staying on her brush, in a panic I asked her if that was my hair (she tried to remove it from the brush without me noticing and putting it between some towels) she said it was from other clients. at this point I'm really afraid so i touch my hair and my hair feels like gum. I ask her why my hair feels like that and she replies that is because is wet. However at home my hair never felt like gum even when it was wet. I'm really freaking out at this point but she keeps saying that my hair is healthy. She puts in my extensions and cuts my hair and extensions. She did NOT tone my extensions she said that my hair would wash off and eventually match my extensions. Since I was really shocked by all of it I just wanted to go home at this point. She still charged me the highest price in the estimate even though she was an hour late to seeing me and she didn't tone my extensions. Once I got home my hair felt extremely dry but I did not wash it for two days to try and let it get better. Once I finally washed it my hair was extremely gummy and falling out in clumps. I messaged her and she again said my hair was healthy when I saw her but that MAYBE there had been some overlapping between my old blonde and the new one and that she would give me a take home treatment for free. I picked up the treatment and it was a deep conditioner. This has been such a nightmare since, my hair is really short in some pieces and it has just started to get better because I ended up buying all of the olaplex treatments. (3,4,5,6) which have costed me as much as the hair service and the condition of my hair is still the same. This experience has caused me not only really bad self-esteem but also really bad anxiety. I wish she had been honest with me and tried to do a better job at fixing my hair instead of denying everything. I trusted her because of what I saw on her Instagram page but I couldn't have been more disappointed by the whole experience. I wouldn't recommend her at all. read more

Can I start out by saying the salon is gorgeous and has a very welcoming feel to it. I have gone to Christina in the past to fixed a really bad ombre I had. She was amazing, she left my hair looking like it was never touched by anyone else. She is one of the best colorists I've ever had touch my hair. Also, recently I had eyelash extensions done with Gee gee. I was honestly really nervous because I had never had them done.
