Meeting family from Miami at the Dolphin Mall several months ago, we decided to make the experience fun for the kiddos as well. We purchased our tickets online for D!sney Pix@r's Elio. Although we had anticipated the cinema to be packed, given the live music events happening at the time, it wasn't busy at all---which gave us ample time to buy food, drinks and goodies at the concession stand. The theatre was clean, including the restrooms---but particularly our seats and cupholders. The only drawback to this cinema is parking, but we can't blame them for that. read more

I haven't been to this spot in a minute and today I realized that I will NEVER come back! This is filled with young kids that have NO IDEA what they're doing. I ordered a flatbread before my movie and it was absolutely inedible. The crust was soggy and the cheese was not toasted. We then went to the bar to order a drink and that was agony. There was a young kid there that had probably never served a drink in his life. He kept apologizing cause he was still learning and knew he was gonna be slow. My brother and I, being in the hospitality field sympathized with him and let him know we understood. I ordered a margarita and he had no clue what to do. He made it wrong and had to throw it away to try again. His second attempt was not a success but we took the drink anyway cause we could not wait another 15 minutes. My brother ordered bourbon on the rocks, and this poor kid had no clue what the drink even was. 2 managers came by to bring a bottle and seeing that there were people waiting at the bar and this kid was struggling, offered NO SUPPORT or even acknowledged the patrons waiting. They just walked away talking as if there was nothing to do. This place has no idea the lousy kind of management they have!! The only good thing I can say is that the seats are comfortable and the bathrooms were clean. Aside from that, seriously consider going anywhere else to watch your movies. Loved my experience today at CMX Cinemas Dolphin 19. My husband and I came to watch Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning. The movie was great. The theater has comfortable reclining chairs and pleasant temperature. The chairs had cup holders and trays attached to the chairs. The theater was clean and roomy. We did not eat anything because we came from dinner. I hardly go to the movies but an amazing movie definitely is enjoyed more at the movies. A great improvement from my last visit. read more

The theater clearly went through a major remodel, but it doesn't feel as appealing or functional as it could be. We've visited several times, and on every visit the interior kiosks have been out of service. During our most recent trip, the kiosks were down again, which led to long lines at the concession stand. On a positive note, the theaters themselves have been upgraded, and the seating is comfortable. However, if you're on the smaller side, you may find it a bit difficult to stay comfortably reclined. Overall, I still enjoy this movie theater and plan to return again and again. read more

Price for movie was decent, though unusual they offer 3 categories (Adult, Child, Senior) and all run the same price. Concessions are often expensive, but these prices were absurd. $17 for chicken tenders means walking to burger king in the food court and bringing in your own. On aesthetics, a travesty what has been done to this theater. Used to have character, now grey and generic. Maybe the concessions prices are so high because they're still paying off their debt on all the vinyl flooring that extends throughout. First time at this theater. My husband chose it because it was the only theater that was showing The Haunted Mansion in a regular sized room (landmark and the grove only had small rooms and he doesn't like to be close to the screen). The theater was extremely dirty. Thankfully I had wipes to wipe down the cup holders and seats. The line at concession was insanely long. We skipped it. I will never return to this theater. I decided to give this theater another try after their renovation, and they did a great job updating the entire place, including the concession stand. I saw Mission Impossible and really enjoyed the experience. They brought back the classic popcorn display case, which was a nice nostalgic touch. The popcorn was warm and buttery, and a large size comes with one refill. The self-serve freestyle soda machines are convenient, and everything felt new and clean. The new reclining seats even have trays, which is a nice upgrade. I brought my popcorn to the concession stand for a refill, and an employee (Yelp doesn't allow me to state names) deliberately put his fingers inside the carton to grab it before refilling. That was pretty gross. When I mentioned it, he didn't seem to respond or acknowledge the concern--possibly due to a language barrier. Fortunately, there were attentive and responsive managers everywhere, so no problem. The theater can get busy with tourists, and I ended up in a row where large shopping bags blocked the aisle. This made it difficult to leave for refills and made me feel like I was bothering people. For cinephiles: they use Barco projectors instead of Sony. It's cheaper to maintain but less color-accurate, with a smaller color spectrum. Brightness and saturation are cranked up like a Samsung TV--but hey, theaters have to count their pennies these days. All in all, it's a great place to watch a movie after the renovation, though I hope they address some staff training on hygiene. read more

Amazing I've been going here for years ever since I was 5yrs old and I love it and they have an all great Amazing mall.

Love how the movie theaters is in the mall. It's impossible for a date or a family outing to be boring at this location.

Def Not a horrible theater just some noticeable issues i kept paying attention to. It's big , in the theaters the sound quality and picture were good. And the overall experience was decent. My standout issues: theater seats were dirty, hand rails in theater are dingy and can use a fresh paint job.. after touching them you def wont want to put ur hands in ur popcorn or touch ur food unless u have had sanitizer. Over half of the concession options were unavailable (this is actually very surprising because that's where theaters really make their profits ) . Many of the things I asked for on the menu were not there and it was a Wednesday night... Lastly parking ...its always a little tough if you wanna be close to the theaters esp since there are a lot of restaurants in this section of the mall so its always packed. Overall if you just wanna pop in and see a movie (where the screen and sound quality will be good) then it will def do the Job.. but if you are looking for the overall experience its a 50/50 read more

Purchased tickets online for Cinebistro to find out once we arrived that it had closed two years ago. When I re-checked purchase found that they don't say anything about it being closed but redirects you to purchase seats in one of the premium D box theater. Yes my ticket don't say Cinebistro, but process was SUPER deceptive. Theater is dirty and folks that went to see the Batman movie were noisy. This by no means worth the ticket price. read more

I haven't been to this theater in years, and let me tell you that when I visited to watch the new Spider-Man movie, nothing has changed. Its still the same theater that I used to visit as a little kid, which is a little concerning. When I bought my tickets online I got charged a convenience fee with no real explanation. The explanation I received when I arrived is the convenience fee comes from "the convenience of online ordering because it's easier than standing in line at the theater". Now what truly bothered me is that although I purchased my tickets online so I don't have to wait in line, they told me to wait in the customer service line to scan my QR code that I received after purchasing the tickets. They gave me physical tickets to present to the usher and all I was thinking is how this method defeats the whole purpose of ordering online and charging a convenience fee. An alternative idea is to allow the usher to scan the QR code so the only line you're waiting is to enter the theater. read more

Worst cinema experience in 35 years of moviegoing. While the convenience of reserving seats is great and not something we had growing up, our theater #8 was smelly (as was the hallway). The floors were sticky and there was a musty old carpet smell. Someone had thrown a drink at the movie screen in a prior showing and so there was a large dark streak dripping down covering a large portion of the screen which was very visible and distracting during lighter scenes of the movie. On the way out, close to 1am in the morning teens were playing in the lobby tossing things across the entire length of the room from check in to the dining area with no staff to stop them. It's possible the staff was involved in the game. Who knows. Won't be going back. read more

They offer imax and regular movie viewing. Went to see Jurassic park and everything was as expected. Long line to buy popcorn and food options and they are still super expensive. The large popcorn is really huge and lasted the whole movie between two people lol. read more

This theater was a huge disappointment. Their payment terminals didn't work, and the staff didn't seem to care. I waited in line for snacks only to find out I couldn't even pay because their card readers were down. No signs, no warnings--just a waste of time. If you're going to run a business, at least make sure people can actually pay for things. Definitely not coming back. read more

There were no cup holders in our seats, nachos were good, but the hot dogs were cold, and the speaker was making a weird rumble noise the whole movie which was "A Quiet Place Day One," so it was very noticeable. Will go to again, but experience could be worked on. read more

Ridiculous. TWO slow people, only one register open, dispensing at the one and only concession stand. I paid $17.00 for 1 soda and 1 hot dog. The bread was clearly old and reheated, chewy and disgusting. So my experience was awful. I went because I wanted to enjoy the whole IMAX experience and stuff. But I found the cinema so completely dirty! The prices are high for what they offer. There's no regulation for anything! So everything is a mess. The countertop with the napkins, butter and straws is a HUGE mess. Restrooms were dirty, people don't respect and speak so loud during the movie, kids crying (kids under 3 years should not even be at a movie that's not appropriate for their age) they will obviously be annoyed after a few minutes because of the noise from the speakers, they start to cry and disrespectful parents turn on their tablets in the middle of the movie. I mean, really? And no one says a thing? The theater staff should make sure these types of issue don't happen. The seats were not as big nor comfortable as I imagined. They should have an option of popcorn without butter for those lactose intolerant. Honestly I would not recommend this place and I felt I wasted my money :( read more

Not what it use to be. No option for zero stars! If you buy your tickets on Fandango ahead of time to avoid the line, it doesn't matter you still have to make a huge line to get your tickets scanned. In addition, there is only one person attending the concession stand. I counted 15 people in front of me and 24 behind me. I felt awful for the poor woman doing her best. It's ridiculous on the second busiest movie day of the year. All I heard was "this is crazy", "we're never coming back here" and "we're going to miss the start of the movie". Good ol' Cobb Cinemas which is now formally known as CMX Cinemas. They continue to expand their food and beverage which is always a good thing (Try the Monster Nachos - it truly lives up to its name) the place doesn't have as much life as it had once upon a time but still gets the job done. The staff isn't exactly the most thrilled to be working there and it shows but hey, it's a job. They do a good job of maintaining the facility clean at least. I expect changes are coming (hopefully major renovations since CMX bought them out) who knows, maybe they'll add a bar like CMX had or like most AMC's have. read more

Got to the theatre and realized that it is not CMX quality. They basically took the old movie theatre and slapped a CMX label on it. Some of the workers were great. They have a guy "A.J" who greets you prior to going into the theatre who was cheerful. I forgot who the manager was tonight (slim Hispanic gentleman) but he came to our aid when a couple go rowdy in the theatre. He politely asked them to keep it down so that others can enjoy their movie experience. My gripe is not with the workers, but the quality that is expected from CMX was definitely missing from this place. Will not go back here again. read more

We've watched three movies in dbox at this theater and we've loved it, but again - the picture needs to be better. I actually watched Dr. Strange Multiverse yesterday in 3D+dbox and the picture was much much better, I wonder if it had anything to do with it being 3D. Only giving this one star because you have to, to be able to post my review. What an awful experience my family and I had on June 2, 2023. One person working the concession stand with a line of over twenty people causing us to miss the beginning of the movie even though we arrived 25 minutes before the start time. When we sat down to see the movie, you can only hear audio and see no video. I had to get up and walk all the way to the front (because there are no employees anywhere closer to be found) to let someone know two times because the issue was not being resolved. With the amount of hard earned money a family of four spends (~$100) to see a movie and purchase concessions these day's you should expect a better level of customer service and product. read more

This movie theatre has been around for about 30 years. It was owned by COBB theatre but that went out of business and CMX bought it out like 2 years ago. I've been coming to this movie theatre over the past 3 decades and when CMX took over, I thought it was going to get some major remodeling but NOPE! It's still the same. The place is okay. I think it's worst now compared to when it was owned by COBB. Now, I have come here and there over the decades cause its convenient due it being located at the Dolphin Mall, and it does have an IMAX theatre which is the main reason. But the IMAX sound system seems broken and the seats are nasty. The restrooms are dirty. I don't want to describe the horror. Now, the concession stand is the same concession stand when it was owned by COBB. The food is pretty good except they only offer a foot long hot dog. It was huge! I couldn't eat all of it. BTW, there is a sweet elderly lady who works the concession stand. She is wonderful n friendly. She has been working at this movie theater for about 10 years, and she makes my movie experience quite memorable. TBH she makes this movie theatre shine! read more

Just an A-OK movie theater. Nothing really stands out at this place. Since this theater is located at Dolphin Mall, parking can be a bit tricky if you plan on watching a movie during the evening/night. I suggest coming here early just in case. If you come here too early, you can buy your ticket and then browse around the mall or grab a bite to eat! Every time I have come here, the staff have been friendly. I have no complaints with the service. I haven't been to the concession stand so I can't comment on that. The bathrooms can be pretty dirty. There were multiple stalls that needed cleaning. The place is outdated. Everything needs a fresher look...the chairs, floors, walls, everything! Definitely needs a remodeling especially with all the people who do come to watch movies here. It does get a bit chilly inside the theater so bring a sweater! I like how close it is to FIU campus so I don't have to travel far if I decide to watch a movie last minute. They do show a lot of movies and showtimes here so that is another plus. read more

Outside and inside of the establishment as well the rest rooms was clean. Eventhough it was not a large Crowd, the establishment keeps the area clean. Too many times where many movie theater are messy and don't have the area ethier inside or outside clean. This one is kept their whole area cleaned including the theaters. read more

Finally saw Wonder Woman and it was at this movie theater. Apparently aside from getting the tickets at the ticket booth, you can order them online and print them out by the customer service desk. This is exactly what boyfriend did. In terms of service, it was okay. Very packed theater and we had to find the line with the least people in it. Popcorn tasted fine, no complaints really. The actual auditorium where we saw the movie was typical. I was a bit taken aback with the chairs literally as I went backwards on one slightly. Did not expect that at all. In comparison to other theaters, this one ranks as functioning. It neither distresses nor impresses me. read more
