I googled this after getting home and learned that when a wrong size tire is place on a vehicle it not only causes it to go out of alignment, it can also cause very seroius issues ( computer related ). I went to get another used tire to replace it, then went to another place and bought 4 new tires. Obviously, this is very bad, unethical way to conduct business. Of course, he knew the problems it would cause. I told the guy who owns Hall of Fame Tires about what happened because he told me to go to this place and he said this guy never should have done that. I am going back to JB Garage with the tire tomorrow for a refund. Hope he learns his lesson. I did.

They claimed it was the brand new parts that went bad (maybe it was, can't prove one way or the other) but after having them replace them a second time I had to turn around and take it back because it was falling apart as soon as I left the shop. They finally got it after try three thank god because customer communication was deteriorating. They also have a strange habit of either not remembering a customer who has been in three times due to mistakes or making a point of pretending to not remember them. The owner (Steve) calls me to tell me the best option was to buy an o.e.m. create motor from gm...so that's what I did. One year later I take it to gm who tells me all my Vin numbers match and the motor was never replaced but rebuilt instead. I went back to American and asked for my warranty information. Steve the owner refused to give me any information and refused to help in any way. The issue with the motor was the gaskets on block was blown out. Email stated someone would be in contact with me in one business day to 25 hours. 2 days later no reply. I called the 3rd day and asked about my appointment I put in for an they had no answer as to why no one contacted me. No big deal I get it. My problem is with the next part of this story. I set an appointment over the phone, show up for appointment. They had the tires I requested in stock at a fair price. I asked for an alignment since I always get an alignment with any new set of tires. I get informed my truck is done and ready. Awesome, the guy rights up the work order an I pay the bill. The full bill for tires and the alignment. After which I get informed that they couldn't do the alignment an that I need ball joints and rear control arms. This would of been very important info to have before paying. Now they have to refund me my money for the alignment they could not be performed. I'm asked next if I would like a price quote for the repairs. At this point absolutely not. You can't inform me before finishing my vehicle that I need repairs an that you can't do the alignment? But you'll gladly charge me for it before reviewing your paper work. Needless to say I left livid. Once cooled off I walked around the truck at home to inspect the tires. Found all four my wheel covers destroyed, scratches, and cracks! You can see where they over tighten the outer wheel balancing nut into my rims and completely ruined all 4 of my rims. Unbelievable!!!
