I took the Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Class and it was long, but great! I learned everything there is to know: Infant, child, and adult CPR, how to use an AED, and first aid for all sorts of injury circumstances. Matt Sienty was a great instructor who has put his class into practice as a former EMT. I definitely recommend this course. read more

This is Anastasia and I took my CPR renewal course with Jerry today! He was very professional and knowledgeable and made this class a great experience. I have taken this class before but never felt as confident about performing all aspects of CPR as I feel today. Thank you so much! If you want to take this course and I recommend everyone do it regardless if you are a healthcare professional or not please do it with them. You will not be disappointed. The location is very easy to find and Jerry makes it fun!!! You will leave his class with all the knowledge and skills you will need to save a life if you are ever in a situation to do so. I was re-certifying after missing my re-cert date (oops), so was really hoping to not have to sit through a 6 hour class... I was in luck! Jerry was an awesome instructor who was so efficient with his teachings, but was also sure to ask if I had any questions. He was great about pointing out where the changes were made from the previous AHA guidelines (which were minimal). I should point out that I was the only person at the training so I'm sure it moved at a faster pace because we weren't working in a group setting, but this brings me to a second point: The fact that Jerry didn't cancel the class because I was going to be the only student was phenomenal. Since I was already overdue to renew, I was stoked that I wasn't going to have to re-coordinate the training (and mind you I made the reservation the day before). Jerry was also so patient with me because there was a lot of miscommunication about the date of the training as well at the location, which brings me to my final point: THE ADDRESS LISTED IS WRONG!!! They moved the training site about a month ago and not all the third party sites (including yelp) are updated. PAY ATTENTION TO THE CONFIRMATION EMAILS! Their new address is: 3801 23rd Ave, Room 308 in Astoria. I initially went to their old training site and Jerry called me when I was obviously not there on time (another example of great service). He re-directed me and was patient about me arriving late (I mean, I was his only student). Overall great experience and close to my apartment. Thanks for a tolerable class! I'll be back to re-cert again! P.S. Fair warning everyone: Jerry has a very dry sense of humor. I dig it, but you may not. read more

I used CNT Rescue Training for the second time to recertify CPR AED. Matt was a great trainer and very professional. His personal experience he shares with the class as an EMT helps you learn even better. I had a great experience the first time which is why I returned to use their training program the second time. I like that they keep the class size small. It makes it easier and less intimidating to ask questions, and you know your form is being clearly observed. I would definitely retrain with them again in the future and recommend them to anyone else looking for this certification. I'm sure their other training classes are just as high quality as well. read more

I took the BLS Provider course here. Not only was this course one of the more affordable options, but it also included the BLS Provider book and provides same day certification. Matt, the instructor, was very knowledgeable on the subject and did an awesome job at making sure I understood all the material and answering my silly questions. He also made the course a lot more interesting than expected! I would highly recommend getting your certification here! read more

Took this class b/c it was a requirement to enroll in my Nursing Master's program. Matt made an otherwise boring 4 hour class enjoyable. I recently took the First Aid & CPR course. It was informative and I learned a lot. It was lengthy but that was to be expected. The instructor, Matt, was great and patient. The price was reasonable and I received my certification the same day. I recommend this place to anyone. Just make sure you contact them in regards to their location as they moved and the website does not appear to be updated. read more

I took the BLS for Healthcare providers certification course. Although I was so tired from work, my instructor Matt Sienty was able to make the course as enjoyable as possible. He made sure we were alert and paying attention to details, which is so important when you are trying to save a life. I went in feeling nervous about it and came out feeling confident that I can perform BLS if I ever needed to. Thanks to CNT Rescue Training and Matt for preparing me!! The Rego Park location is in a semi basement setting of a private building which made my entrance experience and the first few minutes a bit uncomfortably (as a woman) I had to become comfortable at first since I was the only one taking that class that day in the afternoon. But the teacher was very professional, experienced and made me feel comfortable/ safe quickly.

I took the BLS for Healthcare Providers course yesterday with Jerry and had a very good experience. I have been trained in CPR 6 times (2 times AHA BLS) and this was by far the best class I have taken. Jerry did a great job explaining everything and making sure that I felt comfortable with each step before moving onto the next one. He is clearly very knowledgeable and cares about making you feel confident in your CPR skills. I would highly recommend this class to anyone needing any type of CPR training and I will definitely be returning for my re-certification. read more

I took the Heartsaver CPR/AED class.The instructor Matt was very pleasant and very professional.He explained everything so well that I didn't really have any questions to ask at the end of the class.I couldn't focus very well in the beginning because I was very tired,(I had a bad commute and didn't have my usual cup of coffee in the morning)but Matt was very patient and engaging and he made sure I stayed on track and paid attention.He is also a pleasure to look at! My experience at CNT Rescue Training was much better than I imagined it would be. I took the BLS bundle class including CPR/AED and First Aid. It was a very small group, making it very interactive and fun. The instructor took the time to pause and ask us questions to make sure we understood each component of the training. He didn't rush through it, and offered a lot of insight from his own personal experience as an EMT. I would highly recommend this class to anyone who is looking to get certified in CPR. read more

I took the CPR AED course. The instructor, Jerry was very informative and made me feel comfortable and confident with performing CPR, using the AED machines and helping me go to the proper protocol if a victim was choking. They go through everything at a nice easy pace and I didnt feel overwhelmed at all. I took many CPR courses and just needed to be re-certified, but this course was by far the best. I just took this renewal course last night and Matt taught the class. I have been renewing this for years but a refresher is always good. He was very informative, explained everything clearly, and was easy to understand. A lot of times we don't actually ever have to perform CPR on a live patient (knock on wood) so this course definitely helps refresh your memory and skills. Yes its as good as it gets. Both instructers were very efficent on how they explained and demonstrated the procedure.
