The letter says " after thoughtful consideration" so you mean you planned to do this the entire time? I find it hard to believe that you came up with this drastic business decision in less than two months so why would you accept new patients if you knew this was the outcome for us? Just another reason to take as much money as humanly possible from first time parents. And now we're being passed around like paperwork to see which doctor will take us...they took forever scheduling our appointments so we are not having our anatomy scan until 25 weeks through the pregnancy, which is a whole lot late according to everything online. This entire experience has been a complete disappointment and I would recommend that anyone be very careful when considering this practice for your medical needs. They only have their best interests in mind not yours and they will do whatever they can to avoid anytime of ownership. Not even a phone call or an email, literally a letter in the mail. You do not care about your patients and we will 100% never use you for any medical services in the future. Except for the ones you've already made us pay for of course. And now instead of facing us like a honorable practice they have blocked me from messaging them and making public comments on their social media reviews. DO NOT GO HERE

Other clinics I've reached out to firmly told me no they couldn't help me due to my age and wouldn't schedule an appointment for me at all. I didn't realize how much I respected the upfront honesty until my appointment with Dr. Pabon. When I called to schedule I made it perfectly clear I wanted to try only once with my own personal eggs, whatever can be retrieved, and I would be paying for it myself through my trust. I spoke with the scheduler, who spoke with Dr.Pabon and they reached back to me and said, Yes they can see me, and we're good about what I discussed with them. I felt we had a mutual understanding that I only want my eggs. Yes I'm aware of the situation and the chances, I did plenty of research, and I wanted to try with that 1% chance. I ended the conversation feeling good our mutual understanding and felt comfortable with filling out everything and sending the 350 for the consult because I was left with the impression yes they will try it. I know that if it failed we could potentially lose far more than 350 but again that was my risk and I was searching for that one person that would help me take that risk and I made that perfectly clear on the phone. Well needless to say I was left with a huge no I won't do it, your age is an issue, your eggs are old, and look into a donor, and we can check your uterus so that you can carry the pregnancy on your own, along with your heart. I could've been told this before ever going and driving for almost two hours and spending 350 to hear exactly what the other facilities advised me over the phone. It's much more human decency to give someone the upfront no instead of giving a false hope that adds salt to an already broken wound. Going there was basically change in his pocket for golf outings. Maybe one day things can come about in science for woman such as myself who want another child but it won't come about until doctors have a will to try and make new innovative ways for us besides donors. Where there's a will to do something there's always a way but until then the only will was to hear what I had to say before scheduling, giving false hope, taking 350 dollars, and telling me exactly what the other facilities respectfully told me over the phone, which was NO WE CAN'T HELP YOU. If you're over 45 and are open to a donor and or surrogate by all means spend the 350 and go but if you're not save the heartache because the answer there will be NO.

Dr. Porter ran a much more complete blood panel than was done by my internist. Based on those results she prescribed a diet that restricts carbohydrates. She took a lot of time explaining things and answered all questions that I had. Though it seems counter-intuitive, with continued exercise and the new diet the cholesterol and triglycerides are now near normal. I visited my previous internist for annual physical. She was surprised with the improved numbers and no longer felt I needed to go on anti-cholesterol meds. I was told by my neurologist that I must take Vitamin D- I am very pleased that Whole Health offers the dose that he prescribed and that it's available in a single capsule. The available doses at the drug store required that I take 14 capsules to attain the dose he prescribed. I highly recommend Dr. Porter!

I paid $400 for what was scheduled as a 30-minute appointment, but my actual time with Dr. Porter was less than 15 minutes. During that brief visit, she ordered lab work, which I had drawn in the office for an additional $50. When I later called the office to get the results of those tests, I was told that I would need to schedule another appointment--and pay another $400--to have the results reviewed with me. During that same call, I asked to speak with the office manager because I felt I was essentially being charged twice to complete what I considered one episode of care, particularly since the initial $400 appointment had been so brief. I explained my concern and asked whether an exception could be made this time. I also explained that, going forward, I would gladly have my labs drawn before my appointment so the results could be discussed during the 30 minutes I was already paying for. Unfortunately, I found the office manager's response to be curt and dismissive. She stated that this was the office policy. I then asked if she would please take my concern to Dr. Porter for reconsideration, as Dr. Porter would recall how brief our appointment had been. The office manager agreed to do so but indicated that the answer would most likely be the same. She called me back the following day and confirmed that Dr. Porter would still require me to schedule and pay $400 for another appointment to review the results. I understand that every medical practice has its policies and fee structure, and I have no issue paying a premium for personalized, high-quality care. What disappointed me was paying $400 for a 30-minute appointment that lasted less than half that time and then being required to pay another $400 to discuss the resulting lab work, with no flexibility when I raised what I felt was a reasonable concern. After several years as a patient, I expected a more patient-centered response. Unfortunately, this experience changed my perception of the practice and ultimately resulted in my decision to seek care elsewhere.

First of all, they overdo it with the spraying (weed killers and pesticides) and the field staff (who are obviously underpaid and really have no care about what they're doing) spray haphazardly all over sidewalks, driveways, bushes, etc... and place no signs around to warn residents as they do it. More than once, people walking their dogs have expressed concern about this, but apparently no one has actually brought it up to the management. Hopefully people will come together and do this. If anyone from the company happens to read this, please train your field staff better. And please look for greener methods. At some point, Florida will catch up with the West Coast and start caring more about what they're putting into the environment. To pet owners: Wash your dogs' feet after your walks to at least try to protect them from these toxins.
