I visited my friend in Europe for 3 weeks and was here almost everyday to try and come up with new things to cook. I loved the clearance section and everything was fairly priced. The nice staff was just a plus. Great store! CHILLY MAC read more

Not a fan of the co-op down the road this is the best place to get produce, eggs, meat and just about most things you can think of to fill your fridge and cupboard. The upstairs even has large freezers with ice cream and baked goods, and more meat. The people are very friendly and everything is quite affordable. I am so happy to be able to support my local farmer. They'll soon be starting a delivery service as well!

My husband was able to find whole oats here (called Jumbo Oats) which he couldn't find in any of the major grocery stores. The meat prices are extremely good especially for being so fresh and local, and the frozen meats are a super bargain! We bought some just-picked seasonal strawberries yesterday and they were amazingly delicious. We still need to get some things at a bigger store like some familiar national/international brands or particular varieties of groceries, but Radmore Farm Shop is definitely our new place to walk for fruit, veg, and meat. It's perfect for those "What are we going to have for dinner" afternoons because I can grab meat, onions, mushrooms, and whatever veg suits and cook something up fast. We are definite fans and plan to shop here routinely while we're in town.

It's not a huge store, but helpfully it's open 24 hours a day, although you do have to fight your way round the shelf stackers at night. Generally it's pretty well stocked, apart from the odd days around the major holidays where you can find the shelves dreadfully empty. There's a pharmacy, which I've never used, a Tesco Direct counter which works just as it should. The photo shop is always having their machine break down but when it's running the service is actually very good. A word of warning, there's a café tucked away upstairs at the far right of the shop, very easy to miss. I would definitely give it a miss, the breakfast is truly disgusting, and the coffee machine seems to be out of order whenever I go there. It's clean and tidy though.

Located behind the Esso petrol station on Histon Road just north of the city centre, this no-frills…read moresupermarket offers a varied selection of groceries as well as variety of 'seasonal' goods (usually according to a theme and announced in advance through a weekly leaflet) all at rock-bottom prices. Unsurprisingly, all expense has been spared in kitting out the premises with the goods stacked still in their boxes rather than neatly arranged on shelves, resulting in a rather uninviting warehouse atmosphere. Don't let that put you off! We first visited after reading a positive review in the Observer of the wines on offer and have been back many times since to stock up on bread, store cupboard basics, cleaning products, deli goods, frozen food and DIY tools. There are very few familiar brands, but most of the Aldi imitations are not noticeably different and much better value. On the whole we've always been pleasantly surprised, but we particularly like the washing up liquid, the grilled peppers in olive oil, frozen fish, Shropshire blue cheese and Montepulciano red wine. While the quality of the goods for sale is much better than the shop's decor would lead you to believe, unfortunately one can never rely on a particular item being in stock on any given day. The shop assistants are perfectly friendly, if not overly so, and work incredibly fast when scanning your goods. There are no free carrier bags, so you'll have to buy one or bring your own.

Though I never used it, the parking lot in front of the store was large and always had plenty of available spaces. There are multiple checkout and self check out stations, and I never waited more than a minute or so during my several shopping experiences at Tesco. Staff was very friendly. We spent close to three hours in this Tesco. Luckily I was slightly buzzed from just leaving the pub so I didn't mind. They had quite a number of goods on clearance, pretty much it's a wild card. The sale section is towards the back where the toys and workout supplements are located. A lot of school supplies on sale. I was impressed at their music selection and that I could buy a three disc Ministry of Sound dance CD for £6. They have quite a large school supply section. Pretty much this Tesco carries just about everything. The prices I noticed were £0.30-£1.00 higher then my normal Tesco Store so I was shy about grocery shopping. I guess the bigger the store, they figured lets raise the price too. That is one thing I really didn't like were the higher prices. The bathrooms on the other hand stink to high heaven. I could smell them by Costa. If I were you Tesco I would invest in air freshener. You sell it, why can't you use it? Pretty much I rate this three hour shopping experience a solid three.
