I recently began tagging along with my friend since he has unlimited guest passes with his membership. I very much appreciate him for letting me freeload during my last several weeks in Pearland but man, I'm happy to start going to another gym now. To be fair, this gym has most of the essential weightlifting equipment. The only thing I couldn't find was a hip thrust machine. However, so many of the machines felt subpar to use. Take the hip abductor and adductor machines for example. It's missing handles to hold on for stability, the seat was too short and I nearly slipped off, and the leg pads are placed way before most people's knees. The leg extension felt similarly awkward to use; it doesn't follow the natural range of motion at the knee hinge. The seated hamstring curl doesn't have a knee rest, the rear delt machine handles are a little unstable... you get the idea. This review could still have skirted by with 3 stars if it weren't for the poor sanitation. The men's restroom near the pool looks and smells disgusting. I initially figured it was just a wet floor from the nearby showers, but the wetness concentrated near the toilets and reeked of urine. In addition, the lifting areas need more cleaning stations. The ones that do exist only have paper towels and hand sanitizer, but no wet wipes. The most comical part of 24 Hour has to be that it's not even open all the time. It only provides 24 hour access from Tuesday through Thursday. Mondays are open 5AM-midnight, Fridays midnight to 9pm, and weekends 6AM-8PM. That only leaves the swimming pool and basketball court as the gym's saving graces since many gyms in Pearland have neither. A membership might suit those amenities well, but for weightlifters? Pack it up and find another gym.

Between trying gyms, boutique Pilates studios, orange theory; F45 is the absolute king of work outs. I like F45 because they encourage you to lift more, and push yourself (safely). I feel muscles I've never felt before. I also feel stronger which is amazing. Usually I'd only lift 10-15 lbs max. But not here. I'm comfortable squating 44lbs, and 26lb for tricep extensions! Wth. Never thought I would do either. The coaches are so so nice. They will correct your form (I appreciate this a lot). I have only been to this location fyi. Initially, when you walk in, there's a white board that tells you the duration of the workout/rest periods, and how many laps and/or stations there are. There are cubbies for your stuff, and each cubby has a charger for your phone. They also have small towels for the workout class. There are also drinks and food if you're interested. Lastly, they have two bathrooms with showers. When class starts, the coach will do a quick run through of each station. Every class is so different. Not repetitive like OTF. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday are cardio days. Tuesdays and Thursday's are (lifting) weight days. You can take a quick breather during class but they will cheer you on to finish the time out. You're there for a workout, after all. Usually if you are lost at the station, you can just copy the person next to you or look confused and the coach will come and show you again. Classes can include boxjumps, ski erg, rowers, weights, benches, resistance bands. Clases are usually 45 mins to an hour. What I like about this is that you're not waiting for the previous class to finish. They are usually gone, everything is wiped down/reset, and easy parking. I really love the community and the other members as well. The camaraderie is unmatched. They are all so nice, friendly, and welcoming. We are all shapes, sizes, and skin colors and working on our goals. I love that there are two water refill stations, two treadmills, a stair master, and a massage chair. Many accoutrements! I've done crossfit in the past and messed up my knees pretty bad but i thought maybe if i am more conscious about that going in i'll be fine this time. Well 3 weeks in i can already feel discomfort in my knees so i let them know that this is not a good long term option for me and would not be continuing my membership past the first month. I was suppose to have until april 5th to work out but my class reservation accounts were all blocked out because my membership was canceled even though i am paid through april 5th. They also gave me free week passes and i gave them a name and they have harrassing that person non-stop every day. Totally regret giving them anyones info. The only reason it even gets 2 stars is because the coaches have been great.

Very few TV feeds work on cardio equipment, some patrons have bad equipment hygiene but nothing is done to correct the situation, some equipment repairs do go out longer than you would think, the resident personal trainer is MIA therefore the space occupied which could be used for a tanning room or other revenue generation just sits idle. I joined with him and I love the boxing and HIIT classes. I'm not a fan of being punched so I punch bags. I also get some personal training time in with Aaron Snead who is amazing, nice, and patient. He really takes the time to build what I specifically need help with. David leads a great boxing class, and everyone that works here and works out is so nice. It's a great little family to belong to. I highly recommend this for anyone at any fitness level and age.
