    My now-husband and I started working with Chris about 7 months before our wedding. It was obvious off the bat that Chris has extensive knowledge not only on training, but a thorough understanding of how the body works as well as nutrition. Since we started, we had noticeably more energy, better sleep, and even some baby abs coming out of hiding. The varied routines kept us engaged and motivated, it was never a one-size fits all model. Each session is challenging and yet somehow fun, and you always come away having learned something new. He is truly one of the most experienced & committed trainers around and gave us the confidence and appearance we needed for the big day.

    In 40 sessions and 3.5 months I lost 43lbs with Chris's training and guidance on health and fitness. Chris is a wonderful person to work with and the results speak volumes of his process - tailored to my abilities, low impact, and always safety first. Chris is a genius at showing you how to reach your best - I look forward to each and every one of our sessions. I'm in my early 40s, have never been athletic, and have had trouble losing weight over the past 10 years. I am so happy I entrusted Chris with my health and fitness goals that I committed to more sessions with him. I feel better than I ever have in my life - I go to sleep easily, wake up earlier, I'm not aching constantly - and the most profound thing to me is that I stress less about everything.

    I am from the East coast; temporarily living in SD. One of my first goals coming out here was to train with one of the best trainers in SD, and that's when I found Chris Keith. You don't need to have any particular goals in mind, but if you are even thinking about a trainer; look no further. Chris has a lifetime of experience and works with a variety of ages; he will customize every workout to suit your specific needs. He is a wealth of knowledge and will show you techniques or equipment that you may have never considered. He takes pride in his coaching and clients; and will push you like you've never experienced. It has truly been a privilege training with him for the past 6 months. Like others have said if I could train with him indefinitely I would; he is irreplaceable!! Don't wait any longer; go see CHRIS KEITH!! ‍ ‍

    For a while, I always considered getting a trainer. I would follow YouTube videos and motivate myself to be consistent at the gym for a years, and thought that was enough, but it wasn't until meeting Chris did I really level up and feel such a sense of control and power with all of my workouts. From Day one, Chris sits you down and has an initial meeting to get a feel of your background, who you are as a person, responsibilities you have in life, and of course what is your biggest goal you want in the gym. After this first of many wonderful conversations, he has already devised a perfect plan to help bring out your peak results through workouts that match you. I was shocked to also learn he gives people access to his gym 24/7 and will give you workouts to do on your own. So while I was paying for 3 sessions with him a week, I was able to go in on days we weren't training together for his intense and very rewarding low impact cardio workouts. This shows how his #1 priority is you, he wants to provide you with every resource to not only grow muscle, but grow as a person. It also cannot be said enough how great this man is at conversation. If you have any questions about diets, how to handstand/muscle up/squat properly/get a 6 pack while drinking boba, or anything in the realm of fitness, he will have a detailed answer with proper sources ready in seconds. Now you are probably reading all this like "ok great but what's the catch" and simply put the only negative thing I have ever thought while training with Chris is simply "WHY DIDNT I HIRE HIM SOONER". Because after one year with Chris, I can 100% say has been more impactful and rewarding than the previous 6 years combined. I have gotten stronger in all my lifts and can only feel progress ahead.     If I could workout with Chris for the rest of my life, I would. I didn't have any crazy fitness goals, but I wanted to get stronger and more toned, and I've seen solid progress thanks to Chris. I've learned better form for pretty much everything, and his cues are very helpful and not overwhelming. Our workouts have been my favorite part of my day for the past few months and I've really enjoyed our conversations throughout. His personal gym has everything (including his two dogs which are awesome) and he shares it with you as if you're family. I'm very particular about what I spend my money and time on, and working with Chris was well worth it.

Conveniently located on First Street and accessible 24 hours, the gym is clean and well-maintained. Occupying the entire ground floor of a building, it has a feeling of spaciousness about it. Doors that open to the small patio area, along with ceiling fans, enable good air circulation throughout the space. Fellow gym-goers are friendly and always willing to engage when you approach them about routines or exercises. No attitude at this place whatsoever. People are genuinely happy to share their successes and reflections on their own self-journeys to fitness, which makes the gym feel like not only a place the place where you can go to work out, but also a place where you can continually learn from other gym enthusiasts about ways to improve your own focus on physical improvement. A sense of a community among people with a common interest in health and fitness, and a willingness to share it, are two of of the most unique and notable characteristics of this gym. The owner, Keith Deidrich, pays meticulous attention to the gym's layout and functionality, resulting in a nice rotation of machines and weights throughout the space. It's exciting to come in to find a new machine, such as the very impressive cable crossover set up, complete with high bars for dead-hangs and pull-ups, or a one-of-a-kind lat pull-over machine that requires the force of your elbows, placed on pads and pushing down, to accomplish the exercise. It's like a squat machine for the upper body. In addition to the machines and freeweights, the gym has add-on weight blocks in gradations of two-and-a-half pounds that are custom-made to be inserted on top of the machine pulley racks to increase the resistance in smaller increments when the built-in 10- or 15-pound increases are too much of a step-up. Being able to use these blocks has enabled me to slowly increase the amount I'm lifting without making a jump up to a higher weight that is just too heavy. And there are plenty of cardio machines as well. In short, this neighborhood-centered gym with its relaxed vibe, excellent equipment, and friendly and respectful members makes working out a highlight of my daily schedule.
