Coaches Corner still has small town feel despite the HGTV fame. The inside is nice and spacious with plenty of tables. Our server was very good. The kitchen made a mistake and instead of making excuses, she owned the error and made it right in very timely fashion. As for the food, the wings I sampled thanks to the kitchen's mistake were good and crispy but weren't tossed in sauce which I found weird. I had the Buffalo chicken sandwich which was very flavorful, but again the chicken breast wasn't tossed in the sauce which would have elevated the sandwich. Also the bun needed to warmed or toasted, but that's just a personal preference. Not a bad stop at all and clearly the locals love it. I could do without the Bear Bryant statue Go Dawgs!

They have something for everyone!! Several menu items to pick from. My grouper & shrimp were perfectly fried!! Huge portions. I don't normally like cole slaw, but theirs is so good. It's tangy and not sweet. They are usually busy so get there early. We will definitely be back.

Diamond in the ruff. So wonderful to sit in the enclosed patio and sit over the river. The food is above the average run of the mill bar food. This place is a must do.

This is another way to do the same ole' thing! By the name I bet you can guess..... Sports bar! The difference is menu! It's all over the place which means in most cases, certainly this case nothing special all just ok. The bar is small and about like what you might find at a VFW. Margaritas, and all the and drinks ( Jack & Coke, 7&7 etc) beer on tap is minimal and the bar tenders seem like... I'd rather be somewhere else but friendly. Don't ask for a cocktail they have no idea! But why would you .... Not the vibe here! Three stars is generous I'm not impressed but I don't need to be, business is fine. BDUB's Apple B's Hooters combined with Shoneys and you are pretty close to what you'll find here. Prices are fair and service is good. It has a niche in Wetumpka Al!

Mediocre food. Overpriced. Crab claws are frozen not fresh. Takes forever to get food.

If you're looking for a place that feels like a high-end hunting lodge married a modern restaurant…read moreand raised a family of delicious food and strong drinks, The Hound is your spot. I started off with the Moon Over Madagascar, and let me tell you--if this drink had a fan club, I'd be president. The black tea and vanilla combo sounded like a weird dare at first, but it ended up being shockingly amazing. Whoever came up with that mix deserves a bonus and maybe a parade. Now, let's talk about the shrimp and grits, because these were not just "good." These were "call your mama and tell her you've tasted greatness" good. The chef is from South Carolina, and you can taste every bit of Lowcountry pride in that bowl. Perfectly cooked grits? Check. Pile of blackened shrimp? Double check. A sauce that made me rethink my entire life? Oh yeah. If they sold that sauce by the gallon, I'd be bankrupt but extremely happy. Erica, our waitress, was an absolute rockstar. Super helpful, incredibly informative, and somehow managed to keep the perfect balance of friendly and professional--even on the Sunday after the Iron Bowl, when half of Auburn is stress-eating. The place was spotless too, which is impressive considering the emotional damage that game causes every year. Bottom line: The Hound is a must-visit. Come hungry, order boldly, and thank me later.
