But to hear this man preach, we make the 71-mile trek every couple months and it's always worth it. Not only is he a master story-teller and super engaging and funny and all the characteristics of an effective speaker, but most importantly he is faithful to the text--he does his research and draws out details that have often gone overlooked by even seasoned students of Scripture, and delivers God's word, neither in a "seeker-friendly" manner, nor in an academic tone as if to seminary students, but rather to the soul that simply needs more Jesus (that's everyone) in no matter what stage of their Christian walk. And I love how he doesn't assume everyone in the audience is a "seasoned' Christian or even saved in the first place. He doesn't even assume you know how to navigate the Bible as he guides you how to flip to book/chapter he is preaching out of. His messages will make your eyes water and fire you up at the same time. Get ready to open the floodgates (your tear ducts ) He's helped me with my walk for years now, whether I listen online or in person. Finally the music during the service is awesome. Being a musician and having played for several worship teams over the years, I don't mean that lightly. Their play a variety of worship songs, including contemporary , oldies but goodies, AND original songs they've written themselves! --which are both easy to sing and gospel-centered at the same time.

Pastor Hal went into great depth using the Bible and has an easy way of explaining things. He interacts with the congregation while preaching and holds your attention throughout. There appear to be many different activities the church does together during the week. Newcomers are warmly welcomed and given a gift. The pastor greets people at the door with a warm welcome. I'm new to the area and have visited a few churches. He's the only one I've seen do this and it was nice. Praise and Worship was powerful and beautiful. What I didn't like...Pastor Hal made a derogatory comment about people being fat and "from the looks of it, some of you need weight watchers." I was shocked! I couldn't believe he would say such an unkind thing. Comments like that can be incredibly harmful and hurtful. As someone who's battled an eating disorder I found it mean. I tried to take my concerns to him personally but was told he doesn't accept calls. I had to email. This proved to be futile as he stood his ground, further trying to support his position. At no time did he apologize for his unkind words. Barring the 'you're all fat' comments, I would have loved to attend again. However, I can't support FATISM. I don't tolerate isms from anyone. Jesus loves all people whether they be fat or not. Pastor Hal just hasn't received that message yet. This is an 99.999% white church. My family did not feel comfortable visiting as no one looks like them. If you're Beautifully Black you won't find anyone who looks like you. Southern California has the highest population of Deaf and HOH people in the country yet New Song does not have sign language interpreters. I don't recommend this church unless you're very, very thin and white.

The pastor said do not draw attention to yourself since 2023 when I had my revelation I started wearing tee shirts with scriptures on it . I just want the world to know Jesus that is my intention and I do my prayer walk wearing these tee shirts . Mitch Glaser In 2024 when he visited Shuvah Ysreal that's their congregation in Irvine. He asked us to wear their tee shirts with Isaiah 53 since the Talmud remove that chapter of Isaiah that one of the scriptures that speaks of the coming of the messiah. I understand you all are doing " the way" But it's okay if it is something you all approved but not okay if you have a revelation and do something I am thinking well that's just not me . That's how much the Lord loves me and every year they come out here now for a week and I am invited. We have a song we sing at TSC " Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom " nearly every service we sing it . I thank Jesus for technology because I can watch their service . It's tow and half hours long. It starts with prayer then worship is one hour and preaching is an hour and I just love it . I truly love my Jesus and truly love my church . I would remember where I used to stand and sit , i love the worship so vibrant and alive with impromtu prayer while singing and varied races singing together . It must be what heaven looks like . Today we are starting our three days of prayer and fasting and we will be praying for Isreal with Solu Isreal doing worship . Last year Solu Isreal did a night or worship and 34 countries tuned in and the you tube debuted at 14K vies presently it's over 26K . I personally did more then 100 views . It was amazing .They have home groups and baptism online. It's great They stand for the widows, orphans, oppressed and immigrant. Christianity for me is them . it's the whole package, love, acceptance, family and wherever you go you can tune in worship my neighbors hear me singing and worshipping with them joyfully. " Shine with the Light of your own flame, and the world will glow differently" I know, when I wear my scripture based Tee shirts I get a lot of thumbs up and many young adults come up to me with a smile. I know it spoke to them and encourage them . A lady shopping in Walmart spent an hour chatting with me on the scripture while I was doing my shopping . it's my way of being so thankful for my salvation . The Lord saved me and brought me to this country to learn of Him . He saved me from being a Brahma Kumaris from the Brahma Kumaris world Spiritual University. A peace organization affiliated with the UN. I was born into a Hindu home but became a Brahmin with them at age 18 . Due to my knowledge of their scriptures . I have loved God and served Him my entire life and I am so happy to finally know the One, True Living God. His name is Jesus . He is Lord of all lords . King of all kings and God of all gods. Amen! and I know Him and He loves me dearly as the late Pastor William Carol always used to say the church is Jesus bride but no pastor or any congregant didn't die on the cross for you but Jesus did. I am so blessed and so loved that Jesus sent Pastor Tim Delina all the way from NY and plant him at Maranatha Chapel stage . Yep Jesus would leave the 99 to save the one and they treated me to a very nice dinner. I am good and okay . Accepted, Loved and Cherished and belong to The Lord's forever family Amen! We are so grateful to have finally found Oceanside Sanctuary. It's small enough that everyone can get to know each other, but large enough to have a diverse congregation of people of all ages, races, and economic backgrounds. It runs a weekly food pantry for those in need, and hosts a monthly resource event for the homeless. Oceanside Sanctuary is exactly the kind of church that we had been yearning for. It's located in the heart of downtown Oceanside, in a 100+ year old chapel with beautiful stained glass windows, wooden pews, and high ceilings with wood beams. Weekly Sunday morning services are held at 10:30 am. Please be sure to say hi if you come for a visit!
