At best this place is shady. At worst they are running a scam that people should be aware of, which is why I decided to leave this review. I am new to the area and needed to find a dentist. So, I went to my insurance website, saw that Coast Dental was in network, and I was able to make an appointment for the next day. I filled out all the registration forms that night. So far, so good. The next morning I get a voicemail saying they ran my insurance and it came back saying the X-rays for today would be $580 out of pocket. My dental insurance is unused and covers 100% of preventive care, so this makes no sense. I call the insurance company. The insurance company says the dentist is in network and I'm 100% covered for a full mouth X-ray, which fully covers all 3 of the X-rays tha they want to do at the first appointment. Weird... So, why the $580 out of pocket, right?!? The insurance representative tells me they have split the X-rays into two billing codes - full mouth and periodontal. Here comes the scam. The dental office knows that insurance will fully cover the full mouth X-ray billing code but deny the periodontal, because it's already covered under the full mouth X-ray. The dentist office requires the patient to fully pay for the periodontal - $580!!! Which is outrageously high for one X-ray - and says you can request a refund of that charge later. Coast Dental knows they could easily fix this problem by only using the billing code for a full mouth X-ray. They are clearly doing this with malicious intent. I said to the lady at the desk who handles billing to just submit the proper billing code like my insurance company said to do - and that they'd pay for - and was told all of the following red flags: "It's corporate policy to do it this way" "The manager isn't in today. Only the manager can change the billing codes" "The manager is based out of Tampa. I don't know when she'll be in again" "You have to pay the full amount today and then request a refund for the $580". Can you imagine how impossible it would be to get a refund from these people for $580? I told the lady at the desk that this place is obviously shady and she made a face like she knows they are taking advantage of people and it makes her sad that she works there. If the nice lady behind the desk ever sees this - you shouldn't work for a company with no ethics. They will find a way to take advantage of you just like they do to customers. What they are doing is shameful. Final note: My insurance company said $580 for these X-rays was the highest quote they'd ever heard. Another GIANT red flag that refund would never come. Do with this information what you will, but if you read this, don't say I didn't warn you! read more

This was my second appointment with Coast Dental. After reading the reviews from 2025, I wondered if I went to the same dental office. I went to the Palm Coast office. The dental assistant met me with the necessary paperwork for my procedure (no confusion at all). I need two crowns. My insurance will only pay for one a year. They were completely agreeable with waiting to do the second crown next year. As Dr. Harmani expressed, "I have a Mercedes mouth" since I have sent $$$ having almost every tooth crowned. I am accustomed to spending many painful hours in the dental chair. Dental visits are not my favorite, but Dr. Harmani and her staff are excellent at their job and made me feel at ease. There was no pain (not even with the injection) and the procedure took much less time than I am accustomed to. I would recommend Coast Dental, Palm Coast. read more

Everyone has expectations to be met, mine were not. Had my teeth cleaned here six months ago, time for a re-fresh. Showed up on time, waited a bit, checked in, and just confusion. Apparently, I was supposed to come in six weeks after my last cleaning, claims to have called me, "in my record". I am throwing a bs flag here, they could not say what the plan is/was. So, I got up out of the chair and walked out. Not for me, YMMV. On the way out, it was "call us if you want to come back in", I politely replied, "not likely" One more comment. The absolute worst after mutilating my mouth and referring me to a specialist for skin grafting refused to pay the specialist and continues to threaten me with a lawsuit. Since letting dr Greenberg touch my mouth in 2020 I have had multiple surgeries to fix the massive defect he created. A tooth extraction resulted in damaging the gum, bone, and tissue along with the two surrounding teeth. I have paid over 9k in oral surgeries to fix my mouth. I booked an appointment to get an estimate for a replacement crown for my implant. Coast Dental claimed to be In Network with my insurance provider. When I arrived, they said I needed an evaluation, but cost would roll into my procedure. After a 5 minute exam, the dentist came up with a $2550 cost. When I called to book the procedure they said the dentist was unable to perform the work. I requested a refund and not only was refused, but Coast dental was Out of Network, so I would be stuck with $165 charge. Double whammy. I paid my first visit to Coastal Dental today for a simple cleaning today. After the horrendous service I received, it will certainly be my last visit! Being new to the area, I researched several dental providers and determined that Coastal is the only one that accepts my insurance. When I phoned them to set up an initial appointment and schedule a cleaning, I was directed to a website where I entered all the required information. When I checked in with the receptionist, she confirmed my appointment but stated that she could not retrieve all my information on their computer. Instead of saving time as they had assured me, I ended up having to provide all my information again by filling out numerous forms and questionnaires. After turning in my paperwork, the receptionist advised me that their office highly recommends an oral cancer screening. The screening cost of $47.00 was not covered by insurance and would have to be paid out of pocket. I was told I could refuse it today, but I would not receive future treatment unless I allowed a screening. I did not want the screening, but was pretty much forced into paying for one today to avoid further difficulties. They did their cancer screen and took X-rays. I was waiting for the cleaning to begin when the technician informed me that an intensive and much more invasive deep cleaning was recommended. I was advised that the cost for the cleaning they wished to perform would be almost $850, of which my insurance would only cover about $25. I told them I could not afford their cost at this time and that I wanted a regular cleaning. To my shock and dismay, the technician refused to do my regular cleaning. I was told in no uncertain terms that I either pay for the much pricier deep cleaning or they would not honor my request for a regular cleaning (which IS covered in full by my insurance)!!! I cannot believe these bastards!! They inconvenience me with their shoddy computer system, threaten and coerce me into a cancer screening I did not want, and then dismiss me from their office when I refuse to let them bully me into paying them for services I did not want and could not afford. To say I am livid is an understatement. Who the hell are they to bully people into major costs? They want your money but could not give a damn about actually helping you. read more

I would give less stars if I could. My husband has been dealing with nothing but hell from this fraud dentistry. After paying more than we were originally told - and signed in writing - he finally received his dentures, which then didn't fit. After another round of fighting with them they finally fixed them. Only for them to break two months later. Now, the dentist that he saw is out of town until some time in June. They sent him to another office (same company, different location) but that office won't look at him without charging him for a consultation. I am beyond furious. Our only option at this point is for him to go without bottom dentures until his original dentist returns some time in June. HE HAS NO BOTTOM TEETH and the dentures broke clear in half while he was just brushing them. Handling them perfectly normal. One of the worst places, 2 appointments waiting 2 hours the first time the second time waiting an hour out front before they took me back, waited another hour before they saw me, i could hear the bickering from the staff that they were short handed, obviously over booked. 2nd appointment, waiting another hour out front, took me back and wanted to take x-rays, had they looked at my chart they would have realized that the x-rays were taken at previous appt. Took her 20 minutes to realize i had them done, technology at it's best, if your staff don't know how to handle scheduling and dont't know how to use a computer maybe they should not be working there. Took me back to another room all while i hear the staff bickering that they were short staffed again, waited another 30 minutes and finally got up and walked away. 3rd world dentistry in a 3rd world state. I wish there was a minus column because this is the most incompetent staff of all times. Six visits from October 7th to January 6th to replace dentures that have wore out over the years and I still do not have my new teeth. They have lied to me in an effort to milk the insurance company out of the fees for many office visit. They care nothing about your inconvenienc, only the unearned money received while depleting the money earmarked for my new teeth for which I have done without for nearly three months. Bait and Switch Shop, stay away. I made an appointment to have two crowns and when I showed up for my meeting there was no Dentist (only meet dentist via Zoom). After an hour of xrays and being given a periodontal exam by the hygenist I stated I was there for a dental exam, I had no interest in periodonatl work. I went to Coast Dental as a new patient, had X-Rays and expected to have my teeth cleaned,, Instead I was told I would have come back in a few weeks and needed a deep cleaning, which I have never needed before.. and my insurance would only cover part of it. When I told them, I would prefer to just do the standard cleaning, they refused. I got the impression its all about making a $$ and not about the patient... I DO NOT recommend.! read more

Waited 2 month for a first time visit. When made the appointment I was assured that I was coming in for a cleaning. New patient to them, last seen the dentist was a few month ago, moved to this area, and it's time for a cleaning. They wanted to do all new x-rays and cancer screening, to the sum of 307.00 after insurance!!!!! No need for cancer screening, I've been screened my my MD, and previous dentist a few month ago, and x rays were done. They told me, no cleaning today, and to come back for a visit with the actual dentist. WASTE Of TIME!!!!!!!!!! What a joke, keep away from this place. read more

This office is a joke. They do X-rays without checking if your insurance will cover them. I had a bad feeling when I seen that the place looked old and out dated when they leaned me back in the chair. The cabinets looked as if they needed to be replaced 2 decades ago. The over head light had a bolt that was about to fall out. The dentist came in probed around my mouth. She claimed I need a deep cleaning with 2 sessions along with some special toothpaste. I explained to her that I was at a different dentist off 7 months ago and there was no mention of the required procedure. Her only response was they must have over looked it. Now the nurse gives me the quote of $650 with a breakdown of what my insurance will cover. I was very disturbed now they run this clown show. I'm sure they are rolling a lot of people over the coles for on needed treatments. read more

I was visiting family for a little R&R and had a dental emergency. I didn't have dental insurance and they were able to accommodate me and take care of my needs quickly, professionally and give me options of how to remedy my situation. The Doctor was compassionate and understanding as well as the Assistant. I highly recommend this establishment. read more
