First off this review is not a reflection of Dr Mohler who was excellent and went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable during my procedure. I struggle with severe anxiety when going to the dentist they agreed to prescribe me medication to make sure that I was comfortable. Upon arrival and going back into my room, I asked if I should take the medication now she said she didn't know what I was talking about or what it was that I was taking. Meanwhile, leading up to the appointment, they make a huge deal that I have to have someone present in case I fall and they don't want to be liable. Yet the dental assistant who is taking care of me, was not aware of my situation. Problem number one. However, she was very kind. Her name was Kathy and I had a good experience with her also. During my procedure, I had shooting pain and they had to give me additional anesthetic and we were able to finish the procedure. Again, THEY were very patient with me. Upon leaving, I asked if I would need to take any pain medication and they said all that you will need is Tylenol or Motrin. I said great! Three hours later the Novacaine has worn off, I've taken Tylenol and Motrin and I'm having severe shooting nerve pain in my face can't drink water or eat food. I called the dentist office and use the emergency extension and no one answers. I call back again and no one answers, so I leave a voicemail. Realizing that the office is going to close in the next 30 minutes, I have to hop in my car still somewhat sedated and in severe pain and drive up to the office. I walk in to five ladies sitting at the desk. Frustrated that no one could pick up the phone or return my call. I expressed my symptoms in detail and say that I need some medication and help. They say no problem. We will send it over to the pharmacy now, your doctors's gone, but we're going to have the other doctor. Call it in. Give it about 30 minutes. I get over to the pharmacy and all they've called me in as a steroid. I tell them that I need a stronger pain medication to manage my symptoms. They referred me to the emergency room. (I didn't come and spend $1700 on a crown to try and acquire Percocet...but was seemingly treated that way) Thank God, I go to the emergency room and I'm treated like a human being in pain and they give me what I need. $400 later mind you out-of-pocket The dentist office says that they've put a note for the doctor to reach out to me first thing in the morning regarding my emergency pain. No one reaches out to me. I have to call the office at 3 o'clock and I'm given an attitude and excuses. (Said they were busy with other patients....) Be careful going to this office. The doctor is great. The front office is unprofessional, rude, and incompetent. read more

After years of bringing my family here, we will absolutely never return. Angela (if that's even her name) is shockingly rude and completely unprofessional. she has no idea how to speak to patients. Every single time I try to schedule an appointment, there are conflicts or issues, which shows a clear lack of organization. Between the constant scheduling problems and the disrespectful attitude, this office has gone completely downhill. The way patients are treated here is unacceptable. I visited Palm Coast Dental Care for a routine cleaning and examination with Dr. Kelsey Murphy. During that visit, several crowns were recommended as preventive treatment for the future, but no concerns were raised about the tooth that later became a major problem. Only two months later, I developed significant pain in a different tooth. When I returned to the office, I was told that the tooth had a large cavity that could no longer be treated with a simple filling and required a root canal. As a result of the root canal, a substantial portion of the tooth structure was lost, making a crown necessary as well. This resulted in significant additional expense and treatment. What concerns me is that this cavity was apparently large enough to require a root canal only two months after my previous examination. If the problem was already developing at the time of my earlier visit, I would have expected it to be identified and discussed then. Early detection and treatment might have prevented the root canal, crown, and associated costs. I asked the office manager for an explanation of why this issue was not identified during my previous examination, but I did not receive a clear answer. My main concern is understanding whether this was an oversight and how such a significant dental problem could go unnoticed during a recent checkup. read more

Previously I had recommended this business. No more. I was called 30 minutes before my appointment and told I "needed X-rays " and since I had no insurance they wanted to let me know it would be $390 for the X-rays. I replied that in that case I'd be declining the X-rays and only getting the cleaning. Nay, nay, they sayeth! We shall not clean thy teeth if thou shalt refuseth the X-rays! I restated my position clearly: I did not want X-rays done, it's not the money, I have the right to refuse any medical test or treatment. The answer was, "We will cancel your appointment today, and you can call us back when you decide to agree to the X-rays." Well then. Don't hold your breath, PC Dental! I'll not be bullied into getting mandated X-rays when I literally had them done by your office only 14 months ago! How many patients, less stubborn than I, give in and end up getting unnecessary stuff done that they may not need, want, or can afford? read more

As someone who has always been scared of going to the dentist this place has made me feel very comfortable coming to the dentist. They are very caring and walked me through the entire process. Each of them were so nice even to the people you check in and out with! Very clean and updated office as well! read more

I came in for an assessment and Kathy was the dental assistant who took care of me. She went above and beyond, was able to modify the appt to be a full eval which allowed me to become an established patient and got me a cleaning appt the same week instead of 6 mos out. The 5 stars is for her because it's hard to find ppl who are willing to take the extra steps and anticipate the patients needs. read more

I wish I had seen all these poor reviews prior to establishing myself as a patient at this practice because I would have never moved forward with them and saved myself lots of aggravation. I too fell victim to their scamming ways. They ordered X-rays (for a cleaning appointment in Nov. 2023) that I did not need, as I had X-rays 6 months prior at a previous dentist before I moved to the area. I told the hygienist that I had an oral evaluation/examination and cleaning six months prior, and specifically made a comment that it seemed like a lot of X-rays to be taken as she was taking them--in fact, the most I had EVER taken. To which she responded by continuing to take more X-rays! Next thing I know, in the mail comes a bill for $108. I've never been charged by my dental company for X-rays before, and I've been with them for years. I've also been to many dentists over the past few years as a new patient, as I've moved around, and never had this issue of them not confirming whether X-rays were warranted before moving forward with them blindly. I also was on the phone with a representative from the office and a representative from my insurance company the day before my cleaning for them to manually run through all my benefits since they couldn't "find me in the system." At no point did the representative from the office confirm that I was eligible at that time for the comprehensive X-rays, nor did they request that I have my records from my previous dentist sent over. So, they just take X-rays without any communication whatsoever, exposing their patients to potentially unnecessary radiation. As a cancer survivor, I am appalled that they fired X-rays at me without reasonable cause. All of this for a cleaning! The manager initially followed up with me by sending my signed financial policy document in the mail and another copy of the bill, to which I sent an email and a letter and never received a response. I AGAIN had to follow up. Ultimately, the manager was unwilling to do anything, had zero sympathy about my unnecessary radiation exposure, and didn't care at all that they would be losing me as a patient. Their actions and lack of concern for patient safety are unconscionable, and I will be filing a formal complaint about their medical negligence with the health board. DO NOT GO HERE unless you want to be scammed, have unnecessary X-rays taken, and receive surprise bills in the mail. read more

Like many others have said here....very shady business practices. This dental office staff must have not taken the business course that explains that greed, and impersonal interactions will put you out of business fast. No information provided as to what your insurance covers and doesn't. They just give you what they want and hand you a high bill at the end. $532 for a cleaning? Oh it's a deep cleaning. . The same cleaning was given to me many times before in my life at other dentist offices. Not sure what the difference was. They make is appear more complex by telling you that they must do the bottom or top one day and you have to come back for the other. I saw no reason why they could not have done that procedure the same day. It's not painful or complex. I received another bill for $170 after my appointments. Annoyed by their phone calls for me to pay, I called and kindly asked for a copy of my X-ray's and treatment record, and paid them $170 with $1 bills and change. I would have paid with pennies, but I thought that would suffice to say how I felt without saying anything. I am seeking another dentist. Dr Mohler is a caring doctor for her patients. I'm a new client of hers i told her my story of my last one I went to and told her my worries she was great set up my appointment to come back to get work done after antibiotics was giving walking in that day I was scared and nervous from the time I walk in and left was best experience I had ever had . Didn't feel a thing let me take breaks do to anxiety attack I was starting to have she was understanding her assistant was awesome. This will be my too go place . Stay away from these crooks. They overbill you for services and refuse any services unless you pay their outrageous estimates. They lie to you to charge you 500 to 1,000 for ordinary cleanings. After they canceled my wife's appointment twice after she had arranged time off from work, she decided to go another dentist in the area. My point is this, if you cancel appointments with your patients, be accommodating to them after you had inconvenienced them. Dentist had low self confidence ... I went in for an extraction ... the dentist was fresh out of school age.. she fished for info on ,if my other extractions ever had any problems.. when I said yes, she immediately said she was going to send me to a specialist.. (glad she did) no confidence exuded from her, and I had none in them... I did make an office visit appointment for some fillings and cleaning ... when I arrived at the office early, I was informed that ,THEY canceled my appointment because ,they couldn't reach me for a confirmation... ( I'm the customer here) I made the appointment .. that is my slot... if I were to miss my appointment ,I would cancel ahead of time... So, they informed me, if I waited they could probably squeeze me in... ( my slot ,my appointment ..squeeze....me....in.) I was in the market for implants also... not from these ,new age business model bs ,put on a white coat and a mask and call yourselves professionals, children. they care about any dollar they can get ... not your health.. all I can say now is.... palm coast dental care.... shove it where the sun don't shine..... I was able to secure an appt quickly, visiting Florida and felt the need to have a pain checked out. I had to cancel the appt they had given me to quickly fit me in for the next day, for the following day. The staff was pleasant, my appt was held on time, the dental assistant was nice and efficient. I am completely and utterly disappointed in this offices billing department. My husband and I have been going for 2 years since we moved here and have 2 insurances. We only have ever needed cleanings. This office billing does not give messages nor call back. I have been the one to continually call to discuss billing statements, to no avail with a call back. I discovered today after speaking with our primary insurance, they have been billing for fluorid, when we pay for the service. Complete blame game in this office. Anna, head of billing has a completely uncertain explanation for things that leaves me still wondering what is going on. I believe after today my next step is to file a complaint on fraudulent billing. I've asked to speak to someone over her and I get told there is nobody. Moved to FL with the knowledge my wife had a cavity that needed to be filled. Had an appt with one of the dentists who spent 2 mins with her and jumped to her needing a cap over the tooth. Next thing the biller is sitting joyfully at her side reviewing a payment plan. Even though they are providers to our insurance, they were charging her over $600 additional to what our insurance was paying. She called our previous dentist in VA who identified the cavity who said it only needed to be filled. Needless to say, will find another dentist. read more

After reviewing some of the dental offices in Palm Coast (just moved from Chicago in 2016), I decided to give Palm Coast Dental Care a try. I have had my teeth cleaned every 6 months, 3 visits within 18 months, and a porcelain filing. What keeps me coming back is the professional staff, at front desk, the dental hygentist and Dr Weisfeld. Always a pleasure to go to the dentist when the staff is so professional and helpful. I have only been to this office twice, the second time, it was to get 2 small cavities filled. When I got to the desk they said it would be close to 500$. When I asked to start a payment plan they refused and said I had to pay it all upfront. After speaking with my dentist and insurance they agreed to a payment plan. I paid half upfront, and for weeks since then I have been trying to pay the rest, but every time I call they say the person with access to payment isn't there. Not to mention they are closed 3 days a week. Over all the dentists are great, but the prices are ridiculous and the front office staff isn't that welcoming. read more

My review pertains mainly to the business end of the office. I felt very good about the dental service that i received there. My problem arose when I was charged over $300.00 up front before my insurance was consulted. I have excellent insurance and my co-pay was much less. I obtained the eob for the office billing so she could see that I was due a refund....As of yet I have not received my refund and was told that she would review my bill....not such a great way to handle your paying patients....since I will not be going back, except when she decides to give me my refund.... read more

When I made a new patient appointment for myself and my family, I asked if they could request medical records from my previous dentist. My appointment was first and again asked if they could collect records for myself and my family, they stated that they like to start fresh. When I brought my one of my children, I was told that they could not do his cleaning because he had braces. Their solution was that I could either have the wires taken off or get a copy of his x-rays. Then they would be able to do the cleaning. These X-rays should have been requested by the staff before our visits as requested. Rescheduling my child's appointment would just cost me more time and more effort needlessly. I normally do not give low ratings to local business. I'm a local business myself. I treat my customers right. Just before Thanksgiving 2016 I had three teeth pulled. Because of this I had Palm Coast Dental make me a partial denture. This was done the same day as the teeth were pulled. A mold of my mouth was made and the teeth fitted. I was told BY Dr. WEISFELD that these were NOT the permanent set. He said after I healed I would get another set. The first set never fit right from day one even after 4-5 visits back. I cannot eat because they are loose. I get food under them when I eat. They hurt my gums. If I sneeze they would end up on your lap. I just called back to inquire about my perm. set and was told they are your perm. set. That's not what I was told. Someone is pulling a fast one. After going round and round and being totally fed up I told them that I wanted my money back. I'm getting a refund and I would think twice before I would go to this place. Go down the road. The people were pleasant, but do not tell the truth. read more
