My family Dentist that I've had over the last 32 years does not accept my Medicare Dental plan so I booked an appointment at Coast Dental on East Colonial Dr, location in Orlando. After having the Xray's preformed the Dentist told me I have need to have my four front top teeth removed and replaced with implants . I was in disbelief so I contacted my old Dentist . He told me to come in for a FREE Xray and evaluation . After reviewing my Xray's and a full examination he told me there's NOTHING wrong with my gums and I " DO NOT " need to have them replaced with Implants ! PLEASE DO YOUESELF A FAVOR AND AVOID COAST DENTAL AT ALL COST !! I'm appalled that dishonestly Dentistry has turned into the BUY HERE , PAY HERE USED CAR SALESMEN BUSSINESS . I'd give no stars if I could. First off this is a corporate chain, they have a standard speech . They don't care about you, theta care about up selling you procedures you don't need and if you do not insist on seeing what you are being charged for will not disclose the costs. I went in for a simple cleaning, I got an estimate for $872 to clean my teeth, and then a long all bs explanation. I walked out . They then adjusted it to $128, with insurance for a " regular" cleaning. I can get my teeth cleaned anywhere out of pocket for the same cost. This place is a scam, like a used car lot. read more

This office is not a welcoming office. I strongly believe the team member Angela specifically has a very bad attitude and should not be in the front desk as she is not a welcoming person at all, and was quick to try to kick me out over me asking how long the wait time will be. Angela has a mouth on her and had the audacity to disrespect me. Appointment was at 8:00am I arrived at 8:03am due to traffic. Although the office is to allow 15 minutes after scheduled time she had the audacity to sit there and yell at me telling me I was late. Terrible service and very rough. Dental Hygenist ripped my gums apart. I never can keep employees. Everybody seems to quit. They're such a fast turnover. I asked for a different Hygenist and I had an appointment that one already quit. Then I called the other location up on Wickham Road and they said they'll call me back the next day they never called me back, so I called them back. A few days later they put me on hold and never came back on the phone to me. They just are a hot mess. read more

This office staff has always been very accommodating to me for two years. The staff fluctuates but the hygienist dental service is quite acceptable and my insurance accepts. They use Tele-doctor to review your yearly X-ray and gum measures. Zoom suits me with dentist. read more

This office overinflated cost! I was told I had periodontal disease and would require scaling with anesthesia and multiple fillings. I went to Sage dental and was told my teeth and gums were fine and only required a regular cleaning. Only need 1 filling. I only paid a fraction of the cost at Sage Dental, a brand new office with professional staff that did not try to scam me out of my money. They overcharged me for a procedure that the dental insurance said wasn't billable because it was a part of the procedure that the insurance company paid. I had the procedure in February and I'm still trying to get a credit or refund. The location is West Melbourne, FL. I scheduled an appointment for a filling and cleaning, seeing as one of my teeth has chipped. I was told previously they would have to do the consult and x-ray because I am a new patient. I arrive this morning for my appointment and the receptionist tells me they do not have a dentist on site until august. Therefore I could not get the filling or cleaning for which I made the appointment. Receptionist was very rude when I asked if I could get the X-rays and consult emailed to me so I could take to another dentist for the filling. She told me she thought it would be best if I went elsewhere. I politely responded saying no problem will do as I walked out. DO NOT RECOMMEND. How could you accept an appointment for a cleaning and filling when you have no dentist in office until AUGUST? Will not be doing business with them again. read more

Palm Bay location: My husband and I both were to have cleanings, checkups, xrays. Our first time at this facility. The whole place we viewed was dirty. The toilet in the bathroom had rust stains, filth, dirty napkins, grime. The fans in the entry had filthy blades. The equipment is old and antiquated. The chair used to take our xrays was an old waiting room chair, and the protective shield for the body (for xrays) was damaged. Proceeding to the actual cleaning, checkup: There was no cleaning because the hygienist poked and prodded so hard, the gums bled in both my husband and myself. She then insisted we had advanced gum disease and needs deep cleanings (at a cost of over $1000 for the two of us). My mouth was so sore for the rest of the day. This was NOT due to any infection, but to their treatment. Furthermore, when we had our measurements done, there was no place to spit out the blood. We had to swallow it. The xray cards are painful and left my mouth bruised. There is no dentist on duty here, just one that is zoomed in by internet. We did not get our cleanings. Also, we opted for the cancer screenings, due to our own health concerns. When time came, the hygienist used her fingers and just looked at our mouth. It was not the up-to-date screening system most dentists have. Now, this was not worth an extra $89 each. The only nice remarks I can leave was regarding the lady who took our xrays. She was very considerate, professional, and helpful. We will not be returning. read more

I had a crown put on here in 2016, it came off by 2019. They refused to work with me on the price to replace it despite the dentist telling me it should have been seated lower in the first place. When I brought up with the front desk that I shouldn't be paying $2100 out of pocket to have something replaced that was done improperly to begin with, they said it was "out of warranty". As if there's a warranty on doing the job wrong in the first place. Then, the dentist changed his story from "it wasn't seated low enough in the first place" to "there's been some decay so we have to make a new one". These people are apparently blatant liars. Worst experience in all of my years going to the dentist. Yes, the taking of the xrays was a a serious process, and the technician was anything but friendly during this long period. The "dentist" I saw was on a computer screen, and not the dentist I had asked for an appointment with. Her English was very poor and she tried to tell me I needed a deep clean (which I don't). Then they talked me into a flouride treatment that was completely unnecessary as I am over 60 years old and had no cavities. I will never go back here. It's a scan. read more

Coast Dental is the worst. I went there twice, and they screwed up twice. The first time I went there with my son, they told me that their doctor, Dr. Omar was not certified to do cavity fillings. They told me that they would let me know when he was able to do the fillings. They made an appt. for my son to bring him back, hoping that he would be certified by then. I kept my appt. hoping that everything would go by smoothy. Now I 'm back at the appt. and still he isn't certified. They told me they would call me to let me know if everything would be fine, if not, they would let me know before-hand. I did not receive a call from them, thinking that everything was fine and that he should be certified by then. I did not get a call from them thinking that everything is well and that we should proceed with the appt. Come to find out that the doctor is still not certified, and that I went there for nothing. Now, just to let the public know, this is the Coast Dental on Wickham Road in Melbourne Florida, not the one anywhere else. This destination was far from my house, miles away. So, they lied in my face and told me that they did call, when they didn't. The staff is incompetent and tries to blame their wrongdoings on someone else telling me that the office screwed up somehow and that it's not their fault. So, that it's folks, that's my experience with Coastal Dental. Take it with a grain of salt if you like, but businesses in Florida, and I'm pretty sure everywhere else, is crap. If you do find a place that will do right by you, try and stick with them, because what we have now in the dental field is crap, literally crap. Good luck out there everyone! read more

To start the front staff was very kind and courteous. They were very helpful. Then I was met by the assistant whom I found to be very warm and caring. After a nice discussion with her the experienced dentist approached the room and gave me great insight into the problems with my mouth. Granted time was being spent I believe it was spent well. All in all, I'm very satisfied with the performance of this group. I left with all the answers I needed and a treatment plan to getting my mouth on the road to recovery. read more

Customers BE WARE!!! I read but ignored reviews for this office thinking I should give it a try because of the location. I came to have my dental cleaning. They did the Xray, which took forever and scheduled my cleaning appointment. The clinic is so old and dated. I did not feel the hygine at all. Because I did the Xray and was afraid to have to do it again if I go somewhere else so I thus, gave them another chance. They over charged me just for the cleaning. Here is the worst part. They charged me while was there, and I paid in full the amount they asked for. When I got home, I received second bill!!!! (which was ridiculous) but I paid that too using my FSA card. Now I recieved a Letter from Awa Collection service! !! !!! !!! !!!! !! !! saying I owe the money plus interest and fees! !! !!! !! !!! They sent my info to the Collector when I already paid. If the payment did go through for any reason, I should have recieved a letter from them, but instead, they SENT my info to the collector, and the amount is 80 bucks! !! !! !! This is beyond ridiculous. I am at great standing for my credit and now this! !! !? ?? I am furious right now and I have to write this so at least I can save others. I would put 0 stars if possible. I went for a cleaning and X rays and had to see an Endodontist .Coast gave a referral to the Endodontist who told me to see a Periodontist before he did a Root Canal My Insurance wanted a referral to the periodontist from my original dentist ( Coast) .Coast claimed they needed paper work from the endodontist which was sent immediately to them. Weeks went by and a referral was never sent to the periodontist. My insurance company. the periodontist and I have made an exorbitant amount of phone calls to get a referral. It seems to me that the receptionist Michelle is unwilling to do her job. She claimed on several occasions that the paperwork was sent when in fact it was never sent. . She sent the endo referral not a referral to the periodontist They cleaned my teeth in May & wanted me back in June and every six weeks for a cleaning. They called me back four times to push up my cleaning. Normally according to my insurance company You get a cleaning 2x a year !! What started out to be thought a dental issue, resulted in a week later to be diagnosed as shingles across my left face. For a year my upper teeth had been bothering me intensly. Recently I went to Coast Dental to get an evaluation of my dental condition. Dr Nam consulted me on various solutions and put my mind to ease by his confidence and openness. Dr Nam and his assistant, Margarita Kocic, have been simply wonderful during the restoration process of my dental issues. They both showed great concern of my personal issues resulting from my postherpetic neuraligia. Dr Nam took the time to discuss various options to resolving my neglected dental issues, in a way that left me comfortable and without any nervous reaction or hesitation. On December 16th I had the top teeth extracted, some were just roots. Dr Nam and Ms Margarita were excellent during the process. I was preped with no problems and all care was taken and no pain was felt throughout the nearly 2 hour procedure. On January 14th I returned to have the bottome teeth extracted, again two were just roots. Both Dr Nam and Ms Maragrita made the situation comfortable and painless. The careful instructions given by Ms Maragrita were simple and easy to follow, making the healing much easier. I look forward to returning on February 12th to get an impression of my upper and lower mouth and eventurally having my dentures shortly after that. I would highly recommend Dr Nam for any and all dental concerns/issues, had he been my dentist years ago, I am sure my teeth would have been in much better condition. Ms Margarita has been particularly sensitive to my concerns and discomforts. They make a very professional team. read more

The Staff are super nice, but this place isn't for me. They called and asked me to come in early, only to leave me waiting for 45 minutes to be seen. The equipment is super outdated. Taking x-rays was extremely painful and long. I told the young lady several times I have problems when using the x-ray cards towards the front of my mouth. She just kept shoving them in and scratching my entire mouth and gums. Then the hygienist comes in and forcefully poked at my gum lines. I adv them I've never had someone press so hard when doing that, but she claims it's because my teeth are rotting and need intensive treatment. She points out my red swollen mouth...duh, it just got abused with x-ray cards from the stone-age. The Doctor called on the dental assistant like 40 times (seriously) during the entire procedures. He needed help with everything and the poor girl was running around at his mercy. She comes back and tells me I have serious decay and needs an full treatment for only $350. That's a joke... then she tells me that a treatment cleaning is $75. They refused to do a regularly yearly check-up cleaning because my red mouth tells them i need treatment. This place is a RIPOFF. I was clearly upset and she asked me if I wanted to decline and leave. It was as if she was accustom to this happening. Ppl must walk out of this office on a regular bases due to this foolishness. Then they tried to charge me full price for everything at checkout. I DIDN'T EVEN SEE THE DOCTOR. They only got two stars because the staff was super nice and that poor lady working with the Doc seemed like a super woman. She is seriously under paid!
