I have been dealing with pain in my mouth for weeks since I had a cap put on a bottom tooth. I have had almost weekly visits with Dr. Max trying to adjust my denture so it fits and doesn't cause pain. After the last adjustment - as has happened before - in a day or two of trying to eat normally, I have pain again. I love Dr. max and the staff in the back but unfortunately, the public has to deal with the front office. On 4/29 I called the office and got Sherry. I was put on hold for so long that I was sure she had gotten busy and forgot me. I waited several hours then called back and got Jordan. I was again put on hold for a lengthy period of time when she came back, she said she had to talk to Dr. max and see what he wanted to do. She said she would call me back. She never did. I started calling this morning and was again put on hold n by a message machine. I called back this afternoon and was told - by perhaps Sherry - she did not identify herself - that I had an appointment at 2:00 today. It was already nearly 3:00. Then she changed and said, no it is 2:00 tomorrow. NOONE and I do stress this - no one had called me or left me any messages - as I kept checking. Because I had not heard anything from the office , I went ahead and made plans to have lunch with my son - who lived out of town - and was not willing to cancel that. The next thing was I was told was that she was going to have me talk to the office manager. I aske her her name and the name of the person I first spoke to, I was told she would give me that information but "first we had to(paraphrasing) sort out the appointment" - I said I was not aware of having an appointment and proceeded to tell the office manager what had transpired. She told me that she "didn't want to know every little thing" and that point I raised my voice because as I said to her - these are not "little things to me." This person who after me asking again, identified herself as Shannon. I WAS AND STILL AM, UPSET. This has been an ordeal for me and now this hassle of trying to get through to someone there and to get an appointment - to find that I was scheduled an hour ago and no one called me. Shannon said they had tried to call me many times, I find that difficult to believe - but I did check all messages and see no evidence of that. No missed calls - no messages - not on the land line or on my cell. I have read several other reviews regarding the front desk at this office and Shannon is referred to by name - as having an attiude - and saying she is the boss, not caring about the patients needs. I definitely agree and will be posting this everywhere I can. read more

these people are extremely rude and unprofessiona. I had called and asked before making the appointment if they do oral surgery I was told yes. We get there and they don't. The dental hygienist was very rude to daughter. she asked for a goodie bag after watching several children get one and she told her no. I do not recommend this place. read more

If you're looking for the worst dentist in Brevard County, this is the place to go. Not only will they attempt to overcharge you hundreds of dollars per visit, but they will also withhold necessary dental care. Every single time my daughter was seen and the bill was presented, it was incorrect by not a few dollars, but a few hundred dollars. If I wasn't so familiar with my coverage, I would have been overcharged by them during every single visit. In terms of actual treatment, they're even worse at that and the dentist should have his license revoked. For 2 straight years I inquired about having my daughter's molars sealed for cavity prevention, and during every visit I was told that it would be done at the next visit and then the next. Her molars are STILL not sealed because this practice is so incompetent. Go elsewhere! This place is awful in every way it's possible to be terrible. read more

Staff treated me very rudely over the phone, dealing with my son. Made me feel like as a single father I had no authentic making or scheduling appointments for my son and his mother would be the one they'd talk to. The woman over the phone was irate and loud and brought up the matter of custody in which she knew nothing about. I also told her the reason for the appointment change confusion was due to the person calling having a mental disorder, to which the receptionist replied, "I dont care!" In this day of equality, I find it disturbing that I was treated with such misandry as a father wanting dental care for his child and to have no compassionor understanding of someone with a mental disorder. If I could have rated them less than 1 star I would. The Dentist was good as well as the staff in the back, but that all ended with the front office staff. Shannon is without question the rudest person I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. She changed her story 3 times in 1 conversation and acted as if she owned the place and could care less how people are treated. I went in for a crown, the temp crown was put on and a mold made for the final 1. Within a day it fell off, ok it happens and they did replace it. I had an appointment on 3/13/25 for the finished crown to be put on. I got a call just before the appointment saying it was not in yet and I would get a call to reschedule. That never happened. I called 10 days in a row starting on the 15th and nothing just a VM I finally spoke to a person on 3/24/25 and was told that it still wasn't in and someone would call me the next day. Never happened. I called and finally spoke to Shannon, as she put it the BOSS of all. She was very quick to be rude and say I was wrong and lying about everything, she then hung up on me several times. I then drove to the office at which time she said 1st that the crown was in on 2/25/25, impossible, then said 3/4/25 then said 3/11/25 changed the story 3 times in the same conversation. I then said please just give me the crown that I had already paid over $1400 for and she refused. I asked her "did I not pay for it", she smirked and said well I have it and you can't. Sounds like theft to me, and it seems the authorities agree after calling them and explaining the situation. Very unfortunate when I paid in advance and just needed my tooth repaired. I went in for Invisalign. This office seemed familiar with the process so I chose them to do my scans and send off my records and work with their orthodontist. They had me pay $1k in advance to begin. They set my appointment for 6 weeks from that date but they said most likely they'd call me sooner for my first trays of Invisalign. They have since cancelled my 6 week appointment and it's been almost 14 weeks now and every time I call they say they are working on it. I'm at the point where I think they are committing fraud and will be looking to go to another orthodontist and report them to the BBB. read more

The children's dentist and dental assistant here is the absolute best ! They are sooo good with kids and so quick! They don't do anything unnecessary and make sure that everything is very comfortable and even fun for little kids! They played princess music and make my daughter feel so comfortable every single time! She leave a the dentist with a smile and dancing even after a filling! Another update. I was initially told my daughter's braces would take 15 months. It's now been 25 months and there is no finish date in sight They were nice enough to inform me that I needed to give them another $850. When I asked why it was over 15 months, I was informed that the orthodontist they had wasn't really making the necessary adjustments and more so just maintaining my daughters braces until they got a more permanent orthodontist. The lady at the front desk must be an idiot because she just admitted to fraud. Do not get dental work performed here I repeat do not get dental work performed here. In another interesting turn of events, the dentist drilled my wife's teeth so hollow on one side (two different teeth) that she had to go get crowns which cost us about $2000 because our insurance wouldn't cover it. The best part of this story is the dentist that fixed her teeth informed us that the patients at great expressions often ends up in this scenario and the dentist sends the patients to his golfing buddy to get their teeth fixed after he has screwed them up. I have to come to this location every three months to have my teeth cleaned due to periodontal treatment. Kristian is who always looks at me it does my exam. She is exceptional. Wow!No wonder this place has such low stars! I absolutely would not recommend this place! I got a new dental insurance as of 2020, and I called this place in JANUARY, to schedule one of my two free yearly cleaning's... They scheduled me for March! I called today to find out exactly what date in March, and first of all, the lady who answered the phone ended up being extremely rude through all this, but she was telling me that a DIDN'T have an appointment... OK, so problem number 1 is one of your employees didn't schedule someone like we were told. Not comforting to be told we were scheduled and then we're not even on the schedule. 2, next thing I'm being told is oh I can't just go in for a cleaning as per my insurance covers, they have to do a whole entire oral check and a head check and neck check (yes, that's what she said. I don't remember dentist office doing a head and neck check...)Oral cancer screening's, etc. etc.... And only THEN will they tell me if you need a cleaning or not... Well I know for a fact I need a cleaning because I haven't had one done in many years! So this lady is just completely giving me problems with scheduling a simple cleaning, telling me that I HAVE to go through this whole other process first that probably costs hundreds of dollars that my insurance doesn't cover. On top of that, I am moving in April, so I was really hoping to get my cleaning done in March because I'm going to be in another state. As other reviews have stated, this is a scam dental office. I don't even know how they are still open because they just try to ring money out of you instead of having to go in for whatever they tell you they scheduled you for! Terrible experience! Got a phone call the morning of an appointment that they are not going to do the work. Very unprofessional

They scheduled us like two months out, even further for our kids. I went to my appointment and the lady damaged the roof of my mouth and tongue trying to push the X-ray hardware in, even after acknowledging I have a small mouth. Then, after the X-rays, some type of scan, and the dentist telling me my teeth and everything look good, the hygienist comes in with a bill/document and says the dentist recommends some type of special cleaning and when I told her I just came for an annual exam and regular cleaning, her response was, "You're an adult, you don't get regular cleanings." I told her in all my years of going to a dentist, I've always received annual cleanings covered by my insurance and she said, "Well that's not the way we do it here." Then, she realized she coded the procedure wrong, printed a new document out with a higher amount and handed it to me to sign it. I told her I wouldn't be signing that and I left. My husband walked in shortly after for his appointment and I told him to go ahead and cancel it so he did. They wouldn't even do any type of cleaning, they wanted me to come back another day for the cleaning. We will not be returning. read more

I do not recommend this dentist clinic.I recommend staying clear of this Great Expressions Dental Centers. They only extort money from the patient and the result does not interest them. Dr. Iurkovich and his assistant do not work professionally. The assistant rude and unfriendly to the patient . My wife went to Great Expressions dental center to get her teeth cleaned. When she heard her named called another woman got up for a cleaning. After waiting for more than an hour, she asked about her cleaning appointment and she was told that they took another woman in for cleaning by mistake and they did not ask for her date of birth to find out if it was the right patient. They cleaned the other woman's teeth without realizing that it should have been my wife. Need I say more about the incompetence of the staff at the Great Expression dental center. We had some work done in August of 2018. We paid in full the amount that we were told the insurance wouldn't cover. We recieved a bill in September of 2019 (over a year later) saying the insurance didn't cover anything and we still owed. Why it took over a year to inform me of this I have no idea. The bill statement had a date of 9/12/2019 for work done in 08/2018. The bill has a due date of 10/02/2019. Yesterday I recieved a debt collection letter in the mail dated 09/22/2019, a full 10 days before the bill was even due. This company sent me a bill a year late and then sent me to collections 10 days before the bill was even due. Now I have to take time out of my day to deal with a collections agency so my credit report won't get dinged over Great Expressions' incompetence. I believe this is a gross and predatory practice and will be filing a complaint with the FTC. How are you going to send someone to collections before the bill is even due? Dont bother replying with some boilerplate response. You can DM me and call me since I've already been on hold for 30 min and have been waiting for a callback for at least as long. read more

I wanted to give 0 starts if I could. I am very angry with this place and staff. Dr. Max does not know to do his job. The crown he put on my tooth is not covering my tooth, I believe he could put filling on my tooth but not crown which is very uncomfortable for me. Dr. max insisted to extract my wisdom tooth and the oral surgeon that Max referred left me with a broken root inside of my socket. Paid a lot of money for causing me complication. I never experienced this in Europe. Please do not go to this place it is nightmare! I do not understand why the nurse had to put my crown? I had so much pain under the crown and Dr. Max blamed the wisdom tooth for pain. I went to another place that informed me that I do not need to extract my wisdom tooth. I have been going to Dentaland, now Great Expressions, since 2011. I have never had a smooth experience there. I started going to Dentaland for my Invaslign back in 2011. That whole experience was a nightmare. My trays were always misplaced, the staff were rude and unorganized, the only good part of the whole process was Dr. Max. He was friendly and explained everything but I did only see him for like 5 minutes each visit. I went in for a cleaning today and was told they could not clean my teeth because I needed a deep cleaning. Which they said the same thing last time (6 months ago) and I told them I will get whatever cleaning my insurance covers (a basic cleaning) and I am not paying above and beyond. They agreed 6 months ago when I was in there and they said they noted that in my chart. Well that was not the case because I walked out of there today with no cleaning. They are all about making money. They tried to sell me a water-pick, an electric tooth brush and special toothpaste last time I was in there. I told them I already had an electric toothbrush at home. I found the same water-pick on Amazon that they were trying to sell me for $40 less. We settled on me purchasing the toothpaste, which was $20, so I could get her to stop trying to sell me stuff and just clean my teeth. Since they have switched to Great Expressions their hours have changed (part of the reason I started seeing them in the first place). They no longer have weekend hours and no late in the day appointments (or at least that's what I;m told). The office staff is RUDE. For my appointment today I went in at 8:50 which is what they told me when I confirmed my appointment when they called. I signed in and the lady at the desk said "your appointment was at 8:40 so I'll have to see if I can fit you in because you're late". I told her "No, I was told 8:50 and actually the post card you sent me in the mail says 9:00". Needless to say she did not like that response and her attitude got even worse towards me. My parents also went to Dentaland as well. I say went because they have left them since their last visit. They, like me, were sick of the soliciting of the "extras" and not being able to get a cleaning. My mother who has perfect teeth (she brushes twice daily and flosses daily religiously) was told she needs a deep cleaning which her insurance does not cover. My dad is fighting them in regards to insurance billing. So basically I am leaving Dentaland / Great Expressions after 6 years. Lets hope I find an office that cares about their patients and not making an extra dollar... read more

I am sorry to say I had a terrible experience with this business. First it took two months to get a crown that they promised would take two weeks! But the worst thing that happened is they said I had qualified for a two year interest free loan from CareCredit. I agreed, but to my amazement it was for only six months. When I called to inquire about this misrepresention it took them two more months to get back to me! When they finally did 'so sorry too bad for you!' They schedule your appointment around one dentist who is constantly changing when she will be in so you have to reschedule. On top of that every appointment we have had it has taken over an hour to be seen. Mind you your child can't eat or drink anything for 3 hours prior due to laughing gas. I had a toothache and don't have a primary dentist in the area yet. Dentaland gave me an appointment the same day and everyone was pretty nice, tried their best to make me feel comfortable. My biggest issue, with this location at least, is there are no private rooms, just open stalls all right next to each other. There is no patient privacy, I could clearly hear the conversations going on with the other people being seen. For this reason alone, I don't think I'll keep them as my regular dentist. read more

AVOID AVOID AVOID! Under new ownership, this dental clinic tried the old bait and switch on me. I had a long-standing, every 6-month dental appointment for teeth cleaning. In the meantime, between cleanings, this place was sold and is now Great Expressions. All new staff. When I arrived for the cleaning I was told that what I needed was to become a new periodontal patient! Which by the way just happened to cost a lot more. They then refused to clean my teeth unless I paid them, in addition to my insurance, another $146.00. I declined and left! I also called my insurance company (Cigna) to complain and let them know how I suddenly became a periodontal patient after just 6 months between cleanings. Looking for a new dentist as I write this. Will never,ever return. Beware and if you experience the same or similar tactics be sure to call your insurance carrier and complain! read more

These professionals are truly about preventive care, which saves you money in the long run. I do not understand how anyone could give this place 1 star. I have been to this office 4 times & it has always been a great experience. At check in the receptionist, Angela, the patient coordinator Reina, Cathy at check out, Olena the RDH that did a fantastic cleaning, were all wonderful, professional, kind and were super nice. With Dr. Max Iurcovich-Dentist heading the show, plus speaking English & Spanish, I have never had a better & more professional experience. BEWARE! Ridiculous charges that I never agreed to in the first place. This location recently changed at ownership. I went in today to sign a medical records release form so that I could establish with a dentist closer to work. The new company's policy is to charge consumers $25+ to email x-rays and records. When I explained to them that I had the service provided under the prior ownership and I had never signed a form acknowledging that I understood that there will be charges for copies of my records. They said that they would look into it but it would be quite a while before they had time to check. Because I was short on time, I ended up paying the money and walking out feeling taken advantage of. read more

The staff was courteous, the layout was like cattle stalls, and the dentist(who is less a doctor than a veterinarian) had a bedside manner of a slug. He was apathetic about how much pain I was feeling, waited about an hour for him to stick a needle in IN THE ABSCESS, and when I had the mitigated gall to scream in pain, he told me there was no reason for me to "carry on" & upset the patients in the other stalls! The office was reasonable but the course of treatment with the orthodontist was poorly planned. Extractions weren't ordered until after upper braces were put on and it delayed work on the lowers, even though they said they could work around the delay of getting the extractions. There was a severe lack of communication about the status, at the end of expected treatment they gave me an additional $1200 to finish, although that is a known possibility, the staff never communicated they were that far behind on his treatments. Had a deep cleaning, insurance pays $36 per quad at 2 quads per visit. Great Expressions said they could all quads at the same time but failed to tell me my insurance would only pay for 2 quads per visit (they knew but just did not tell me). I had 4 quads done at once not knowing, now I received a bill from Great Expressions stating I owe them $72 for the two quads not covered. I told them the service is covered under my insurance and they replied "Your insurance would only pay for 2 quads per visit", I asked them why did you not tell me that in the first place and I would have made a second appointment, they could not give me an answer. I WOULD NEVER GO BACK TO THE COMPANY AGAIN, rude customer service, tech's and office personnel not knowing their jobs. I have never been happy with Great Expressions/Dentaland. The only reason I went to them is they accepted my Humana HMO dental insurance. Now, I will spend the extra money on a PPO Dental Plan and not have to go "Dental-Mills". This place is by far the worst ever. I have been coming here for so many years and it seems like each time I come, the customer service gets worse and worse. I got braces from this company and thought it was going to be an amazing experience. All the long hours waiting to be seen I never complained about it. I then get my braces off two years back and I have never had so much disrespect from a company in my entire life. It seemed as if once I got my braces off, I was dead to these people since they weren't getting anymore money from me. I went for a 6 month clean after the braces and the hygienist broke my bottom retainer. She never told me and I found out when my bottom teeth stated shifting. I called the office to be seen about this issue and was never told I would get charged. I got to the office and Dr west tried to tell me I did it and and I was going to get charged to get it fixed. It was completely broken which how can I break this when it's cemented into my mouth. I then asked how long has yours been in and Dr West stayed over 15 years. So how does mine just break then. I spent over $5,000 for braces so I was trying to figure out why I would want to break something. Dr west also tried to tell me I'm not wearing my retainers and that's why my teeth are moving. Again I spent way too much money on my teeth. So once the service started going down hill and I started complaining they then started treating me like I was a pile of dog poop outside their door. This place is horrible and I would go else where if you want a great smile or customer service! I get calls to get schedule and then they cancel them and say they over booked themselves. This company bought out what used to be Dentaland. My wife and I had used Dentaland for over 3 years and never had any complaints with them. In fact she had just had a new crown about 2 mo. ago. We went in for our 6 mo. cleaning a couple of days ago and it was a whole new world. My wife went first and the hygienist wouldn't clean her teeth until she submitted to a $300 maintenance treatment.
