I went to coastal dental up in zephyrhills. My crown was broken, I needed someone quick. I did the whitener before the crown so it would match, they matched the shade and we all agreed. I followed every direction and when I went back to do the crown it looked way off. It's sticking out of the alignment of my teeth and a whole shade lighter. I am absolutely devastated even more now that I see my pictures with the business of Santa. I tried to complain and they called the police and had me trespassed. I'm still paying on this. Some guy in Bolivia set up my appointment at a rundown, ill-maintained office in a rundown strip mall, in a run down town. Greeted with "Grunt", "here, fill out these forms" in a waiting room with a TV with a bad digital stutter on loud volume, and a sign that said "Don't Touch TV". 40 minutes later, someone came and escorted me in for X-rays that I didn't need. (I've had multiple X-rays set done in the last year. We'll get the from the previous dentist so that I'm not having more radiation exposure, so that you can get the money grab. "Well, now you've gone into the next patient's time, so we'll have to reschedule you for Friday." So I called the dude in Bolivia and cancelled, whew! read more

I am sorry to read all the terrible reviews. I have been a patient since 2018 and I have had good treatment. I love Dr. Luma. However, I'm not a fan of the hygienists so far though. I felt they tried to strong arm me into treatments I do not want. But, I know how to say NO. The front staff have been cordial to me. No one has ever been rude. I've had 2 different dental insurances in the past 3 years and coverage is mediocre. It's not the offices' fault that your insurance is crap. You pay for your insurance, know what you pay for! The only negative thing is the call center, who can never find my appointments. So don't loose your appointment card! My advice is to not RIP an office due to a receptionist. Overall, Coast Dental has very good dental service. I'm not going to get my feelings hurt over what some receptionist says to me. Be Nice! read more

4924 Allen Rd, Zephyrhills, FL 33541 Coast Dental Zephyrhills Office (4924 Allen Rd, Zephyrhills, FL 33541) has always made me Pay in Full for every Procedure and Service they have provided since 2018 or for the past (4) years. I am now finding out that they also Filed Claims to Metlife Insurance Company and that they were Paid Directly by my Insurance Provider for the same procedures at their respective coverage amounts, so they were paid again and there was some duplication of payment for each and every visit and appointment regarding. I spoke with Jake at Metlife and Cheri from Coast on conference call a week back, Metlife agreed with me and Coast indicated they would review All my Paperwork in their computer to confirm verify I Paid in Full and get back with me afterwards. A week as gone by and nobody has contacted me and I honestly do not think they will contact me either and that I will have to call them back again and again to repeat the same information and explanation, probably never making any headway. I have hard copies of all my Bills from Coast and can go back through all my Bank Statements showing that I Paid in Full if necessary, but their Computer Records for my Account should show the same information also. I called them again yesterday and they are now saying after being on hold, that the Minocycline Antibiotic pills that Coast Dental has been charging me directly for are $81 each and they are also receiving $53 each from Metlife; they just told me they cost $144 a pill (changed their tune when confronted) and so they gave me a $10 discount, only the US National Average for these same pills ranges from ($30 - $80) w/out Insurance Coverage, so more lies or Outrageous Prices and ripoff.* read more

This has to be the worst dentist and office I have ever been to . They not only do lousy work but are brutal and painful. Several of the chairs have broken arm rest probable due to severe pain from the dentist Ceiling tiles missing and sterile equipment is questionable. Dental assistants preform work that is normally done by a dentist ! Got two crowns and both temporaries fell off days after insertion by a dental assistant on different days. Replaced again by dental assistant with massive adhesive on teeth and very uncomfortable. Permanent crowns arrived and one was a terrible fit This time the dentist ground down the crown and was a lousy fit I returned in a couple of days and the dentist drilled off the crown with massive pain. Again temporary with massive glue When new crown came in the dental tried to remove the wrong tooth twice , New crown is also not correct so I have made a new appointment with another dentist after thousands of dollars this office must be avoided, If you like pain this is the dentist for you! read more

Run!!! Don't go to this dental clinic. Went there for our initial check up and came out with a $150 bill and we have a dental insurance. The hygienist is a total mess, acting like an office manager, front receptionist and billing. She tricked me and my daughter into getting an extra exam without explaining that we have to pay extra. I called my insurance and she talked to their office manager saying that I will get a refund or credit, guess what they did? Gave me a cancer screening test that I get charged with. Dishonest people!!!! If I can give a zero star, I will definitely do it. After getting a quote for and upper denture thru my insurance of 45 dollars out of pocket the day of the procedure I was given a new quote of 683dollars out of pocket. The reason was " we made a mistake " Well I guess you did! And I made a mistake of choosing coast dental. To clean my lower teeth, mind you I only have 10 teeth remaining on the bottom the total out of pocket was 318 dollars. I won't be returning to coast dental. They make too many mistakes. I should have known by reading the new patient forms. They weee full of grammatical and spelling errors. The waiting area looks as it has never been cleaned. Since it is the end of the year, I wanted to make sure I used my dental benefits. Coast is in my insurance network. During the new patient Xray, I was asked for my payment method because the insurance company did not cover their "mandatory" cancer screening. $92 later I was sitting in the dental chair awaiting my cleaning. 2 people were in the room; I could not tell you their names, as they didn't even share their names. After a brief exam, I was told by the lady in the room that my cleaning was going to cost $500 (minimum). When she asked how I wanted to pay, I asked if my insurance company covered it. In her words "they are already giving you the biggest discount." She was, at the very least, misleading. After contacting my insurance company, I was informed that I could have denied the cancer screening and the deep cleaning. The insurance company would have covered the regular cleaning and exam. If you go, be prepared to meet medical up charge sales. read more

I've pondered writing this review for quite some time. I didn't want to get my redheaded temper involved so I've remained mum and I've simply sat back and waited. As the days, weeks, and months have turned into years I've tried to tell myself that there has to be a legitimate excuse for why I'm still sitting here suffering. I didn't want to believe what was becoming quite obvious because it hurt too much. I'd like to believe that we as humans are better than this. That we help people because it's the right thing to do. That our society isn't just about profit, but also about caring for each other. As human beings are meant to do. However, I must accept the reality of This situation regardless of how painful it is. Both physically and emotionally. I think over a year of self-delusion is long enough. Simply put, I have crappy dental insurance. The worst of the worst. Unfortunately, I'm disabled by Multiple Sclerosis. I know. Sucks to be me. I'm too young for one program, too old for the other, and here I am. 53 years old, my life down the drain. My dreams disappearing and my prospects for a brighter future, dissipating before my eyes. I must accept that I am now a victim of the system. A broken, Ill-equipped, a governmental hierarchy that doesn't give a crap about me or you. I could sit here forever and suffer in silence like they would like or I can speak up and as you can see, I chose the latter option. Because, even though I'm physically disabled, I'm still mentally all there. I still have a top-notch education to fall back on which is more than many of my also suffering friends and neighbors have and unlike Coast Dental, I care about people. My core isn't based solely on the monetary system, but on simply right and wrong. To technically accept "Medicaid" is one thing, to actually treat patients is another. Active and knowing avoidance? absolutely! Over a year I have waited. One excuse after another. My appointments canceled for me, right up to the time I've arranged for transportation to get there. Days orchestrated to align with much needed dental appointments, exams not happening, specialists promised. Over and over. never delivered. My hope stripped away from my soul piece by piece. Little by little. Week after week, month after month. Now year after year and still here I sit. Suffering in silence and an ever-dwindling faith in simple humanity. It sucks to accept that I'm unimportant in the grand scheme of things. My good deeds were meaningless. Who I was, unimportant. Who I am, nobody that matters and who we've become, a society of cold, uncaring, money-driven, subhumans, who allow the weakest among us, our poor , our disabled, Our cripples, our most vulnerable citizens, to be treated or should I say, not be treated by our healthcare system, our government and yes, Coast Dental. You are as much to blame as the system itself. Broken, soulless. Sadistic. You should be ashamed of yourself. Yet I don't think you are. You'd have to care in order to feel shame and it's obvious.. that is the last emotion you've felt for me and I'm sure, many others just like me. What to do? I haven't a clue. I guess keep suffering until we die and carry on business as usual.I think the realization is as painful as my mouth. I'm in a great deal of pain no doubt. The shame though, for my country, it's citizens, suffering human beings, people, like you and me and all of us collectively, are suffering. You don't feel the physical pain like me but the societal woes that come from treating your fellow man inhumanely will inevitably taint all of us. Zero starts! That's what they deserve!!! Horrible experience there! I've should followed my instincts and stay away but I didn't! ( MY BIGGEST MISTAKE!!) First of all, I was not informed of how the procedure was done and to this day I don't believe/know if I needed it or not! They don't show you your x-rays! The toll it took on my teeth and mental health is priceless! They did three crowns (front teeth), which not only don't have a good seal and look very fake because don't fit as they should, but also are giving me a lot of trouble with sensitivity and pain since day one! They weren't even placed correctly! They did a 'WHATEVER JOB' on my teeth honestly speaking! I went back to address these problems and they just kept make up excuses and suggesting more invasive procedures because they didn't want to fix what they messed up and of course, they wanted more money! That's what they are good at! They charged me over $4000 for this and some other procedures and charged my insurance as well. To this day, I haven't received a call back (I also contacted them so many times about this issue) to explain all these billing inconsistencies! Now, I ended up with ruined front teeth and will have to look for and pay someone else that really knows what she/he is doing to hopefully fix this mess! My advice to whoever is reading this is: STAY AWAY FROM THESE MONEY CHASERS!! They just care about money, they don't care at all about patients' well being! They treat patients like a set of teeth to make their money. You only get one set of permanent teeth and it's not fair that they mess your teeth up to get a paycheck! To this day I regret so much going there! Stay away from this practice, they are not honest and more importantly they aren't professional and have no empathy for patients! Horrible dental office. Front staff is rude on the phone and in person. Kept setting up the incorrect appointment date. Did all kinds of expensive xrays which I told them were not covered by my insurance! Then when the date came for my routine cleaning, they told me I used a "child's toothbrush" and that I needed to buy a $100+ new electric one from them. The cleaning was horrible, they put numbing crap on my gums which I kept telling them I did NOT want and it was awful. Water squirting all over the place! Then they put this horrible tasting topical fluoride on my teeth which I did NOT need! It took a few hours before my mouth was right again and these white threads kept coming off my tongue for hours. My mouth felt dry and nasty. Then to top it off, they told me all this "wonderful" service would cost me $105! I paid for a crown with a warrant. This fell out multiple times They tried making a new one. It kept falling out. They don't know what they are doing. I ended up losing the tooth. It has been 2 years since I was seen in the office. I was leaving a job with great dental coverage and wanted to get all my stuff done before my insurance lapsed. The Zephyrhills office and the Doctor worked with my schedule to get all my needs completed before I left my job and my good insurance behind. I currently have dental benefits again and plan to go back to this office to see Dr Gheith for my dental work. She is awesome and very good in my opinion. Dr. Jimenez performed the removal of all four of my wisdom teeth and it was a wonderful experience. I have had no complications after the surgery. I went to this Coast Dentist Office in Zephyrhills in March 2015, had a crown put on a broken tooth, I was told that i needed an appliance for my jaw that popped all the time..At that time they told me that my insurance wouldn't cover the mouth piece, but i decided to buy it anyway. Which was over $300....Fast forward I now live in Texas and went to a Dentist here and they said that the appliance i was using was not strong enough to keep my jaw in place. And I believed them because the one i had just isn't working..They said your insurance will pay for one. I said are you sure ??? They said yes it will, we checked. So I made an appt. but the insurance said they had already paid for one....I said no they didn't I paid for it !! Guess what, They did pay for it to Coast Dental and SO did I !! They have kept my money for 2 yrs and never contacted me. They have my address and phone # and never called...Now they say it will take 8-12 wks to get it to me.... read more

Caution!! Do not go to this office. My husband and I went for an initial visit (new to Florida) 11/16. My husband was told at this time, that they couldn't schedule a cleaning with extensive work that he needed (despite regular care) until he was seen for recommended care totaling 3000.00. I was told at this time to schedule a cleaning, but couldn't be seen until the end of January. Waited for hygienist at this time for 1 hour. After 5 min in the chair, was told I needed 800.00 worth of care before a regular cleaning despite being seen by both the hygienist and dentist in November. I am a person who has had regular dental care my entire life, including adult orthodontist work. I am very privy to the importance of dental hygiene. Dr. Percola is a very kind, understanding and gentle dental practioner. If you need dental work and are putting it off due to fear of pain, this is the dentist to go to and have whatever you need taken care of. This is the most evil place I've ever been! First visit was 3 hrs. long!!! While there some senior lady arguing that she was being ripped off of $164 for cleaning that her insurance pays for once a yr. Mold made... then after 2 wks. I called and they said oh we forgot to call you, we need another impression... another almost 2 hr. wait... and another senior lady upset and yelling about how her insurance pays for the cleaning and she did not have to pay the $160!!! Then I call 4 wks later and they said they forgot to tell me that my visit was on such and such date!? Went in for 3rd visit and was there an hour with no one ahead of me and yet another senior lady complaining about the cleaning charge that was covered by her insurance. I finally was seen and the dentures were too big and they were the cheapest pieces of garbage (me and my insurance paid almost $4000 for China crap... I did not sign for them and took them and left... I will never go back to that evil place again.... when you go there they want to give you a mouth cancer test the first time... I knew I did not have it and refused it and the $70 charge... If I get mouth cancer now, I will know it was from the crap they put in my mouth and will sue the crap out of that man... child of satan!
