Based on the reviews, I chose to give Best Western Plus a try -- and unfortunately, it was a big mistake. As soon as I walked in, there was an unpleasant smell. We were eventually greeted by the front desk and given our room. The first thing I always do when I enter any hotel room is lift the sheets and check the linens. Right away, I could see the bedding had not been changed. The sheets and pillowcases had human hair all over them. I immediately went to the front desk to report it. When the supervisor came, her initial excuse was that it was a pet-friendly room and the hair could have been from a dog. I explained that it was clearly human hair and even showed her the video I took. She acknowledged it and offered to move us to a different room, but at that point, I was completely disgusted. If housekeeping left this room in that condition, I had no confidence the other rooms would be any better. We requested a refund and went to the hotel across the street, which was much cleaner, updated, and had no issues at all. I definitely do not recommend staying here. But if you do, make sure you thoroughly check the linens before settling into the room.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling through the area, the continental breakfast was one of the best breakfasts I have ever had. With an extensive selection and fresh fruit, it provided a surprising benefit to My overall experience at the hotel.

Our family plus Grandpa recently stayed overnight here on a holiday weekend…read more Check in was efficient and pleasant. Room was as described in hotels.com app. 2 queen beds and one fold out sofa bed - plenty of bedding and pillows for the 5 of us. Smaller than average hotel tv. The washroom was nice and had bath and body works branded toiletries and a hair dryer. Pool was one of the warmest we were in all vacation and twirly slide was a bonus for the kids. Pool depth was 4-5'. Breakfast was okay - pancake machine, cereals, sausages, and bread products. Neither of my kiddos liked the sausages here. The pancake machine was the biggest hit (though could be improved with fruit and whipped cream options). Parking lot was small and upon returning at night I had to wait for security to let me into the hotel. Unfortunately there was lots of screaming and fighting on the street outside my window. Lethbridge recently opened up a safe drug injection site 2 blocks away and our friends (who live in Lethbridge) shared that there has been a lot of recent issues in the area with damaged vehicles, businesses, and violence. It would appear there are still some hiccups and adjustments to bd worked out. Upon driving for groceries and dinner it was apparent that the safe injection site was pulling a fair bit of foot traffic in the area. Overall the hotel was good and a fair value but I'd be inclined to choose a different hotel next time if our friends continue to hear of ongoing criminal activity and violence in the nearby vicinity.

I spent Monday to last night at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites…read more When I checked in, I'd asked if my room had a tub (I love baths!). It didn't but the receptionist upgraded me to a room with a jacuzzi and a fireplace for free. That was sooooooo nice of her! My room was HUGE! My room had a mini fridge, a microwave (handy since I'd brought popcorn), a Keurig coffee maker, etc. WIFI, breakfast and parking were complimentary. There was a pool and a fitness room next to the lobby, which I didn't get a chance to use. The hotel is downtown so walkable to lots of restaurants, shopping, etc. I had issues with two things, though. The WIFI, though free, was very sketchy and kept cutting out or was non-existent. Since I needed it to work, I found this extremely annoying and ended up using my phone as a hotspot. The water pressure in the shower was pathetic. I tried adjusting the showerhead but when I did that, the water pressure got worse and was reduced to a dribble. I was showering at 4:30am so it's not as if there was a big demand on the water at that time of day. So if you don't need to use the Internet or shower, this would be a good spot to stay. For me, though, these are things that are a must.

When her credit card didn't go through, she became visibly upset and was told to go to another hotel (a $30 cab ride away). At the second hotel, I provided my credit card for authorization. About 15 minutes later, the manager from the first hotel (Super 8) contacted the second property and told them to refuse her service because she had been upset and crying. As it turns out, they also owned the second hotel they referred her to go to. They then forced her to leave, despite her being legally blind and alone in an unfamiliar area. When I called to advocate for her, the manager was extremely unprofessional and showed no empathy. She even claimed to be the owner of both hotels, which I find doubtful. This experience was shocking, unsafe, and unacceptable. I would never recommend this hotel--or any of its affiliated properties--to anyone, especially those with disabilities.

I didn't feel safe leaving our vehicle because of a group of guys were staring at me as I locked up. Bathtub was not clean and cleaning rag was flipped over shower stall. Breakfast bar, Boiled eggs. Yogurt. Bagels. Nothing special. We had breakfast elsewhere. Bed was comfortable. That was the highlight, Expressed issues with front desk. No solution offered. Our first time to Lethbridge and wasn't impressed with accommodation.
