My titanium status has an enhanced room upgrade. He would not give me any other room. So I just took it. Upon getting in the room, the beds were literally pressed up next to the TV. I could not move in there. I went back down and he asked if there was a problem?? I said let me speak to the manager. He goes...there is no other rooms..and he went in..,then comes out and I say because of my disability I cannot move!! Then he goes..ohhhhh let me check again...then the manager comes out and she goes what can I do?? I just said...I just want the refund so I can go across the street to the Westin where they treated me right...then she says..I can upgrade you to executive suit but lower floor..I said your establishment left a bad taste in my mouth and I just want a refund...horrible this place

Plentiful juices, milk, and coffee. Assortment of breads and muffins. Fruit was a little lacking but there was always cantaloupe and one other fruit. Staff were friendly. They did miss our room once for cleaning. All in all adequate.

The carpet sorely needs to be replaced throughout the hotel, especially in the hallway for my room on the first floor. In the room, the armchair has stains splattered across it and seems the original orange color is now a rusty brown. Light comes in under the door. No pen or notepad nor any hotel or dining info in the room. Rustic desktop lamp from decades ago gives little light. Appreciated the sink counterpoint and large mirror. The towels are stored *inside* the shower that didn't get warm enough water. Had to run the sink for 15 minutes to get warm enough water to wash my face. Thermostat doesn't work. AC unit in room worked, thank goodness, but grumbled and groaned to life each cycle. The bed was comfortable. The pillows flat. Bar soap only. The only other toiletries were shampoo, conditioner and lotion. No iron or laundry services. Breakfast not complimentary. Didn't use the fitness center or pool. Large parking lot that needs repaving and lines repainted. The hotel doesn't require the vehicle plate number.

We've been traveling a while), and it showed the option of being able to book at least one night with points and cash. As we wanted to stay multiple nights, I couldn't do that through the app (app wanted to do the points plus cash deal for every night). So, I called up their reservation line. I made sure to tell them that I wanted a King Suite. We got it booked at nearly the same cost as their app, and I thought all was good. We got in very late (they were informed of our late arrival) and I proceeded to the counter. We were NOT booked into a King Suite, but a King with sofa bed. They wanted to charge us an additional $60 for the room I had requested and booked. The gentleman said he couldn't do anything about it, but I could speak to a manager the next morning. Well, spoke to the manager this morning. He said we were not booked in a King Suite, but a standard King. He also said that it's an additional $60-70 up-charge for the King Suite and then showed me on his phone how a King Suite is nearly $200 and not the $135 that I was shown the previous day, through the app. So, I pulled up the app and showed him how the room is saying $123 now, for a King Suite. Now he's telling me that we're in a "King Suite"!? I show him the description, "Enjoy floor-to-ceiling windows in two walls of this corner room". We have 2 windows, on One wall, and they're Not "floor-to-ceiling"! Also, "Separate sleeping and living areas". The manager tries to tell me that we do have separate areas as there is a divider. According to him, a two foot pseudo-wall is a divider, making separate areas!? (I grabbed a screenshot of the app, will take pics of the room.) We will be finding alternative arrangements for the remainder of our stay, and I doubt I'll ever stay at a Hyatt again! Utterly dishonest, bait and switch! BEWARE! (Also, at this point, I'm not sure, but they may try and charge me for canceling our stay. It didn't come up, as I was too upset at the dishonesty and treatment).

I checked with the front desk to find out how full the hotel was and she said it was quite empty. I asked her why rooms were booked so close together and she didn't understand what the problem was. I explained during covid, if the hotel is not very full then it would be easier to space everyone out. She still didn't understand the problem. I decided to let it go because I wasn't getting very far and would just be careful of other guests when entering or exiting our room. Appart from this mind boggling coved issue, the hotel is very standard. Nice sized rooms, clean and free continental breakfast in the lobby. But someone needs to give them tips on how to better keep guests distanced.

There's a mini fridge and coffee area. It's too bad they didn't offer tea though and there was no sugar for the coffee which could have been missed for our room. The bed and bedding was comfortable and they give you lots of pillows. There was a sofa which is great for seating and magazines on the table. The work desk was also new and had a nice chair. The room would be great for business travelers and those on vacation and want to relax. I didn't use the pool/hot tub but it was often occupied. I used the gym on a Sunday morning and there were kids in the pool and adults in the hot tub. The gym can get a bit warm with the sun shining in the window but it's decent with an elliptical, treadmill, bike, and lots of free weights with one bench. Water in the cooler and sanitary wipes for the machines was great. The main area is nice with lots of seating and the open restaurant is convenient as there's also a Starbucks. I've had a few meals in the restaurant and the service is attentive and good food. There are conference rooms and washrooms close by too. Especially when they have hockey tournament it is nice to see them. The hotel was hosting two teams from Fort McMurray- the peewee team and an atom team. It was Easter weekend so they were very accommodating. They let the parents stay out in the lobby and bring their own boos down to drink until whenever they wanted. I was apart of the atom team and i know for us we stayed down until 2:00am and the parents of the peewee team were down much longer after we were. As the parents were together the kids hung out together running around the hotel and the parents not really telling them to stop so the hotel staff was very patient. The kids were even going into the pool by themselves. As a result of it being Easter Weekend, the hotel allowed the parents to plan a hot wide easter egg hunt and it was very much fun and very loud with all the kids running around looking for Easter eggs so that was nice. Starting at 5 stars: - the hotel lost one star for having a hot tub that isn't hot - the hotel lost another star for putting WAY to much chlorine in the pool - the hotel gained a star for their patience and cooperation with us - the hotel gained a start for their amazing complimentary breakfast in the morning Therefore, it ended at another 5 stars !
