There are no words to describe the excellent customer service we received from Andrew and his team! They let us ask 5 million questions in the months leading up to the trip, and never made us feel stupid or annoying, even though we probably were lol Day 1: The second we arrived we were met by Thalia our Cuban guide, and she felt like one of the squad immediately! We had a driver and taxi bus that fit us all, an very patient driver named Julio, and our perfect English speaking Thalia (who's also extremely knowledgeable and funny!) we did a walking tour to start, had some mojitos, then had a wonderful dinner at 5 Senses (was the best meal I had all trip long) then listened to live music. Day 2: Hemingway museum and then beach day! Full service beach, chairs, food, drinks, massages, and the water was gorgeous! We then had salsa lessons literally next door to our hotel, and not just cheesy tourist lessons, but legit dancers at a professional dance studio with wonderful teachers! We then went out to dinner and dancing to try out our new moves, and had such a good time! We made friends with the band and then they took us to the local salsa club where we danced until 3 am! We walked to our hotel alone and felt completely safe, no dirty cops like Mexico, or robberies like Spain, everyone is pretty laid back and peaceful. Day 3: We went cigar and rum tasting with Thalia at a beautiful old hotel, the lobby was filled with peacocks. Then we spent an hour at a huge market to get all our souvenirs, and the whole upstairs was art for sale! Professional gorgeous Cuban art! Later we took a sunset cruise in old cars from the 1950's, then we were dropped at a gorgeous iconic restaurant in new Havana. After dinner we went to Fabrica of the arts, a HUGE old warehouse that has been turned into a 4 story art experience with 7 bars and everything from impressionist to runway fashion to concerts, and we had one of the artist showing us all around. Then we went dancing again! Day 4: we were leaving, we spent our last hours eating breakfast and walking the streets making last minute cigar and art purchases. Thalia then picked us back up with Julio and made sure we were properly checked out of the hotel and had our tickets, visas and passports in hand. They dropped us off, prepped us for every ridiculous questions we had about bringing cigars back to America lol We we so sad to leave Cuba! I just got back from an amazing trip to Cuba in May with Coast to Costa. Cuba was everything I expected and so much more. And I can't say enough about our guide, James, who went above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome and definitely made things easy for us as far as changing money, recommending restaurants, things to do, places to buy unique souvenirs and answering any and all questions. I usually travel solo or with friends so I was a little hesitant about being on a tour but thought it was the best option for a trip to Cuba. Since this is a tour, there are things you have to do as a group but there is also a lot of free time to explore places on your own. My time in Peru with Coast to Costa was simple AMAZING. I'd never traveled to South America before this trip and I don't speak any Spanish, that proved not to be a problem at all; being with Andrew who speaks Spanish fluently. Andrew was truly like a big brother and I felt completely safe with him and wherever I was when he was with me. We had a great group of people and we all contributed something unique and different to the trip. All of the activities where such a pleasure and soooo much fun! I don't even know where to start. I went on the trip to Sayulita and had the most amazing, adventurous, beautiful time. Andrew is the BEST person to travel with. Not only is he hilarious, but he's always on the hunt for ways to truly experience living like a local. By the end of the 5 day trip, we were having drinks with the restaurant owners, watching sunsets with our surf instructors, and hugging our trip-mates that we met just a few days before. I went to Coast to Costa Tulum a lone ranger not knowing anyone on the trip and came home a winner with a new set of friends! Most of the time when I travel I end up doing what all the tourists do because I don't know any better. I always wanted to go to Tulum, but I knew that if I went on my own I probably would of stayed at a beach resort. Hard to even put in words how my experience in Peru this past February with the Coast to Costa team was. Here's a crack at it! All my expectations of a group trip were surpassed... and then some! Andrew, together with local guide Fernando, organized a spectacular itinerary which at no point felt rushed. Excellent service and expeditions for the solo traveler, such as myself. As an avid snorkeler, for ages, my sights were set on heading to Tulum, Mexico. I couldn't seem to find the right travelers to join me on my journey, until I saw an ad for Coast To Costa and their Tulum package. I saw that Coast To Costa also offered a more local, 2-day trip to Ensenada, so I decided to give that shot as a more affordable trial trip, which was a completely, rewarding experience. Andrew knows the in-and-outs of the destinations, so you know you'll be getting tasty meals and safe oversight. I definitely plan on heading back to Ensenada with Coast to Costa. The vineyards and restaurants we visited were out of this world. (See photo) If you're in your 20s to 30s, you will be in the perfect demographic for Coast to Costa and this is especially important, if you're traveling by yourself, as you'll likely make some instant friends / connections. After the Ensenada trip, I had the confidence to book my next vacation with Andrew, which was long-desired, Tulum. The timing ended up overlapping with my birthday, so I was really looking forward to unwind for the 5 days. It really was a dream vacation, with a nice small group of people. Our house was modern and situated in a central location to the beach and city. Andrew was liberal with each day's itinerary and the flexibility allowed for the whole group to enjoy their own personal hobbies. We checked out 3 cenotes, dined at some unique restaurants, relaxed everyday on the beach, and most importantly to me, I was able to jump into some very vivid snorkeling. Andrew and I even caught a random reggae show in the middle of the jungle, which is something many tourists would miss, if they weren't with someone as accommodating as Andrew. Andrew and Natalie are now great friends and it's so awesome to run into them occasionally in Los Angeles, when they aren't globetrotting! I had the pleasure of joining Andrew and the rest of our awesome team to Cuba in March 2016. Joining Coast to Costa for travel was completely new to me, but also one of the best trips I've ever taken. Here's why: Anyone who knows me knows that I'm a type A planner for when I travel. I research, I schedule, I yelp restaurants, and everything in between. For this trip, I did none of that and I enjoyed every single second of it. I didn't research anything for a couple of reasons. First, I trusted that Andrew would create a seamless, comprehensive, and exciting itinerary (which he totally delivered) and second, I wanted to leave room during the actual trip itself to learn about the country and surroundings organically and to explore without expectation (which happened as well.) Don't expect an extremely touristy type trip, with expensive food, 5 star hotel lodging, and only mingling with other people from the same country as you. I'm incredibly grateful to Andrew for creating this trip and itinerary in a way for us to engage with locals and to truly immerse and engage ourselves with Cuba beyond the lens of just tourism. Cuba changed my life. It sounds cliche, but it's the truth. Since returning home, Cuba and the experience has constantly been in my thoughts: the kind people I've met, the intriguing way the Cuban government works, extreme gratitude for the simple things in life, and much more. I will say a couple of us in our group shed a couple of tears throughout the trip because of the powerful stories we've heard and the impact that it left on us. Planning travel for a large group is never easy, but Andrew does it in such a way where you think it is easy. Even in stressful situations or last minute changes, Andrew is calm and collected, but in a way where you know he will take care of you and has your best interest in mind. I was looking for a travel agent to plan a trip for my daughter and me to celebrate her senior year in high school. I came across Coast to Costa on yelp. After reading all the rave reviews I checked out the website and saw the Cuba photography tour Nov 16th thru November 23. My daughter is really into photography and I thought what a fun way to spend Thanksgiving. I asked Andrew several questions via email and he was very responsive and within days we made the final decision and sent in the deposit. As the trip got closer Andrew kept us informed of every detail supplying the travel Visas etc. Even in the airport flying out at 10:00 pm I emailed him with a question and he responded immediately. The trip was so amazing I can't emphasize enough if you have ever thought of going to Cuba, run don't walk and choose Coast to Costa! Every detail is thought of and at no time were we left without knowing what to do or where to go. The food was great at every restaurant and the fun factor was a 10! From the disco in an underground cave in Trinidad to enjoying mojitos in the Bay of Pigs, and horseback riding through a tobacco farm in Vinales, this is not your average trip by far. The cost for everything from food and drink to souvenirs is very low compared to most tourist attractions and even here in the US. I learned so much about the culture and people as we were truly immersed into it and we felt welcome everywhere we went. I do not speak any Spanish and Andrew always translated when needed and the tour guides spoke very well English. So many people have asked me upon return if we felt safe in Cuba and how dangerous it must be. I live in Los Angeles and felt safer in Cuba! Ha! I feel so comfortable with Andrew and Coast to Costa I told my daughter she should save up and go on a trip to Peru without me after she graduates. read more

I went to Cuba in this past November with Andrew and Coast to Costa. I cannot say enough what a great trip it was, and I'm so happy that we chose Coast to Costa! A few weeks before our trip (my wife and I), we had a get-to-know-you-call with Andrew. I had been somewhat hesitant going on a group tour, as I've never been on one before. But a ten minute call w/Andrew put those concerns aside, as I could tell what a great guy he was. Exactly the type of temperament you'd need to bring groups to Cuba, which can be a difficult place to visit. Andrew met us at the airport, shepherded us through our connection in Mexico City, handed us our visas, (and he even managed to avert disaster when I left my bag w/all our $$ on the floor near security)! Upon arrival in Havana, Andrew handled the process of getting our mandatory travel insurance at the airport kiosk. As an aside, it little things like this that make going to Cuba with a group an easy call, as there are just certain ways things work differently in Cuba, and having someone with the expertise to handle things that on your own could be a big headache is invaluable. We met up with Jorge, our driver when we finally left the airport (it takes literally hours....Cuba). Jorge accompanied us throughout the trip, and what a great guy he is. You feel like he's a friend of yours, very open and honest, and without him the trip wouldn't have been nearly as great. We stayed in peoples homes in Old Havana, in our our own apartment in the Casa Particular they ran. We also had breakfast each morning prepared by the hosts, which was really perfect. Later on we met up with Brandon from Coast to Costa, another great guy who has a fascinating background, and really added to our knowledge of Cuba. Andrew showed us how to get around Havana our first full day there, which is a pretty amazing city. I'd just say that visiting Cuba is more of a learning experience than a "vacation." That made it no less special, but if you're looking for Cancun, this really isn't the trip for you. But for us, staying in peoples homes (in Havana and Trinidad), meeting local people and at least getting a feel for life in Cuba (as much as one can when a tourist just visiting), was really what we'll remember most. That and drinking rum out of a bottle in a gas station somewhere. That wasn't too bad, at all. The great thing about Coast to Costa, is that while you certainly can spend all your time with the group, there is also plenty of time to venture out on your own, which we took advantage of. But our group was about 18 people, and what a great group it was. We really enjoyed the time together, and when we'd split off with a few others to go explore on our own. Really, if I had been hesitant at the beginning about a group tour, I now have a completely different view. I just doubt I could find such a great group of people again. From Havana, to the Bay of Pigs, to Trinidad, Andrew/Jorge/Brandon were the perfect guides. And we're lucky we found about Coast to Costa, as I know a trip to Cuba without them and their group would have been nowhere near as great. read more

Where to begin? I'm in LA often and have made it a point to explore it and all of its neighborhoods... especially those where-in-which you can abandon the car and cruise around by foot. I've heard great things about Downtown, but getting friends to go down there always seemed to be a challenge. Maybe it's the stigma that formerly went with that part of town. Maybe it's the fact that people in LA are just afraid of the idea that public transportation does exist and in fact, they can take it Downtown. A friend of mine told me about Coast to Costa (used it for a Spain trip) and how Andrew was now doing tours of DTLA. I reached out to him and after some conversation about what kind of day our group wanted, the day was planned. We met him outside a Metro stop and took to the streets. After several stops (galleries, a table reserved on the rooftop at The Ace and some food truck snacking) we ended up at Angel City Brewery. Loved this spot and its indoor biergarten ways. Beers were tasty and the group entertained themselves with board games and corn hole/bags action. Needless to say it was a great introduction into Downtown and an overall awesome day. We said our goodbyes to our awesome host, grabbed some dinner and then hit up the Little Tokyo Mall's giant arcade and bowling alley per Andrew's suggestion. I highly recommend traveling with Coast to Costa. At first, I had some reservations about booking with a group I knew little about and I went on the Sayulita trip not knowing what to expect. He'll make sure you're taken care of. He is a great conversationalist, fluent in the local language, and is good at connecting everyone together. We stayed in the smaller towns away from the big toursity areas and ate at smaller restaurants owned and ran by the locals. We also booked at a local surf shop. It was a great way to get up and close with the true local experience while supporting small businesses. Another big draw of going with Coast to Costa is you will meet fantastic people. I've gained new friends on this trip that will last and you'll really get to know them. I was truly encouraged and inspired by all the people in our group. I've been to many trips out of the country with many group tours. This has to be my all time favorite trip out of all the places I've visited because of the experience Coast to Coasta was able to provide. Andrew has great knowledge and connections in all the areas that he goes to and because of that, we get the best deals for everything we do. He has to be one of the most humble down to earth guys I've met and can bring strangers together and make them feel as if they were family since day 1. My first ever trip to Mexico was through Coast To Costa! I went to Oaxaca during Dia de los Muertos, and it was such a special experience. It was a group of about 15 people, and I didn't know most of them going into it, but everyone was really easygoing and hungry for culture. Everything was handled for us - from booking transportation and hotels, to coordinating day-to-day activities. My trip to Cuba with Coast to Costa was wonderful! A great tour, with wonderful travel mates and guides. I felt so well taken care of, and don't think we could have navigated the complicated country that Cuba is without their expertise and guidance. We had such fun, and a truly unique travel experience. This is the group tour for people who "don't go on tours." Do you want to feel like you are living like a local in Cuba?! But don't want to put the time and energy into planning this trip. Well Let the Coast to Costa boys handle that for you! Brandon and Andrew were fantastic! They took care of every need that I had. Even after to group headed back home I stayed on and did a few extra days solo. The guys made sure that I had my room arranged and a driver. Phew! Sure took a lot of the worrying out of the game. And to boot everyone in the group was a 30 something year old career professional with like minded travel goals. I made some solid friends from all over the world bc of this trip!
