I don't even know where to start. I would recommend Great Expectations Travels to EVERYONE because I used the travel service and I wasn't disappointed for a second. I gave Sherrie the task of a lifetime and she pulled it off! Like many people planning a wedding and finalizing all the little details, the bachelorette party, and honeymoon are often not at the top of the list of 'Things To Do' right away. My now husband and I knew that we wanted to have our closest friends get away with us for a little vacation to seal single life, so I called Sherrie to pick her brain and see what she could come up with for a young couple who wants to go to a great destination that has it all for my girls and his boys. She was super patient with me and had great advice on where to go, what to do, and how much it would all cost. I never felt that she was selling me a destination that she wasn't truly passionate about and it helped that she knew all the details of different places because she had been before. After going back and forth with my fiance (at the time), we decided to go to with Cabo! Although we were going to Cabo for a joint bachelor/bachelorette weekend, we wanted to not be together most of the time. She booked the girls a separate resort from the boys and customized the perfect little vacation for each group. For a short 4 day getaway, she packed in everything everyone wanted. We were greeted at the airport by two private buses and taken to Melia Cabo and the guys went to Dreams. We got to our rooms and we were blown away by our accommodations. Without breaking the bank, we got a lot more than we expected. We hung out at the pool, got pampered at the spa, at amazing food, and got some necessary girls celebrating out of the way. On our last night in Cabo we wanted a joint dinner and Sherrie made the reservations for us at the restaurant and got us a stretch limousine to take us out at night. Although we had a great concierge at our resorts, she had taken care of all the details from LA and left us with nothing to worry about. It was just like having our own private concierge doing everything all the way from LA. The Cabo trip was incredible and I could go on and on about all the cool things we did. Needless to say, the wedding was great and she has taken over and helped us plan our summer honeymoon to Italy, Spain, and France! I'm so excited to go on that trip because I know it will exceed my expectations...again! Thank you for your help with making the planning of my trips so effortless and memorable. There are a lot of travel agents who charge an arm and a leg for putting together a vacation package, but when Sherrie put the vacation package together for my family for Thailand in the recently and she really did an amazing job and didn't charge a fee for putting it together. She cares about her clients and I see that and I think it's very important. And even when she doesn't charge a fee she beats the prices online. I don't know how she does it, but the last three international trips that I go on and ask Sherrie to put together. Wow! She is the best travel agent in Los Angeles. I had the most amazing time in Thailand. Everything was perfection and I could not really believe my eyes what I was seeing and experiencing. Also, when we got there a lot of the things I had suggested and Sherrie respectfully told me not to do was right. For example, in Chiang Mai I wanted to ride elephants but she told us that we should do the Elephant Nature Park instead because they rescue elephants instead of abusing them. I couldn't believe that I was about to do an excursion that used abused elephants. But I'm glad Sherrie talked me out of it. Also, a lot of the hotels that I thought might be good, or had heard about, Sherrie informed me that there were better ones -- for even cheaper. And she was right. Sherrie suggested hotels that were cheaper but even better than the ones I thought were expensive. A lot of travel agents I used to work with would always recommend the more expensive hotels so they could make more, but this isn't the care with Sherrie. What I found is that she really, really cares about her clients. I don't use anyone else to book my travel except for Sherrie and I would never ever go to anyone else. read more

What a lifesaver Sherrie is. I was in Thailand and Expedia totally messed up our reservations for all our hotels and transportations. I immediately went online to see what I could do and much to my disappointment (but not my surprise) nothing could be done. I felt hopeless and truly scared because my friends and I were halfway around the world and there was nothing to be done. I did some research and found that Sherrie lived in Los Angeles and I quickly called her in the middle of the night. She assured me that she could help me out with everything and anything and she was really really right. I could not believe how she did in so little amount of time. Sherrie got us reservations at hotels that we thought were completely sold out and all her drivers were on time and safe and amazing. Our Thailand trip started off as a nightmare but thanks to Sherrie and Great Expectations Travels it saved us. I wouldn't know what to do without her and am so thankful that she went out of her way to help. You could tell in her voice talking to her that she loves traveling and wants to make sure that all her clients are having an amazing time. Also, you would think that because everything was last minute she would charge a crazy amount of money, but everything she presented us with was cheaper than what we could even find but 10 x more luxurious than what we even hoped for. I want to thank Sherrie for planning a once in a lifetime tour. I went on her 2-week Best of Thailand 2015 tour that celebrated the Thai New Year and I have to say it was one of the best trips I've ever been too. On this tour we visited Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phi Phi and Phuket. Sherrie planned everything perfectly, and she is on top of every detail. It is not easy when you are spending 2-weeks in 4 different cities to see everything, but we covered all the places we needed to see and activities we needed to do. We saw all the temples, visited the elephants at a rescue sanctuary, played with the tigers, went snorkeling, and did many, many day and night tours around Thailand. Once again, everything was planned perfectly. Sherrie is also a caring tour guide, making sure that every person on the tour had a very good time. Our hotels were incredible and we only stayed in 5-star hotels. We stayed in hotels that were centrally located, and easy to walk to markets. When we went to the beach in Phi Phi, we stayed at a hotel that had the entire side of the island to itself. Recently came back on a second honeymoon for my husband and I and we decided to be a little adventurous and go to Thailand. We found Great Expectations Travels through YELP and I'm really glad we did because we had the most wonderful time. We've been married for over 30 years but needed to get away. As as my husband and I are both really busy, Sherrie took care of everything. I am not kidding you when I say that we didn't have to worry about a thing. This review is for the 13 days, 12 nights Classic China Odyssey Private Journey that me and my spouse purchased through the GET website. I could not have been more pleased with my experience with Great Expectations Travels. Everything was handled to perfection, and Sherrie (owner and travel agent) made sure that my wife and I were taken care of. On our first night, we landed in Beijing and the hotel was magnificent, comfortable, and centrally located. We were there for 3 days, and the private tours that we were on were incredible. Our transfer to Xian on day 4 was very easy. We were a little worried traveling in so many cities (five in total) throughout the trip, but our thoughts were cleared as soon as we arrived to Xian. On the last leg of the tour we arrived in Shanghai, and wished we could stay longer. What a magnificent city. Traveling with Great Expectations Travels was a joy, and I will certainly do it again. Sherrie sent my family and me to Italy last year and it was a pitch perfect trip. We were there for almost three weeks going from city to city in the entire country and really everything was planned perfectly. We were in Positano, Portofino, Rome, Florence, Capri and Cinque Terre. My family didn't have to do a lot of work because Sherrie just took care of everything. Everything was on-time and confirmed and none of her drivers were ever late. Plus, her drivers spoke English and gave us tours and stopped and gave us private tours to places that we never would have visited. Sherrie set up a 15-person luxury vacation package for me and my family to Dubai and Israel, and it was so meticulously planned and executed that we didn't want to come back. Seriously. I just got back from a trip that was put together by Great Expectations Travels and I was completely blown away. The accommodations were incredible and the different excursions / activities were a blast. In the past I've stayed away from tours because I enjoy traveling like a local. That was not the case with this trip. Our guides knew exactly where to take us to eat and drink like the locals, but also made sure we saw all the sights we needed to see.
