they offer walk-ins. so we left and agreed to return for the next available appointment. we showed up on time. after for 35-40 minutes past the appointment and seeing 3 other people ahead of us.... we left. i told them it was not reasonable to make us wait for that long when they gave us an appointment. she said "well, that's what happens when you are a walk in..." THEN WHAT IS THE POINT OF THE APPOINTMENT TIME??? i don't know how places with this kind of service stay in business. read more

It honestly feels disrespectful to the rating integrity to give this place even one star. My sister was referred by the ER and her primary care to this eye care center. She was having a medical emergency and as it says on the website, they are supposed to provide "excellent comprehensive medical and surgical eye care" and that they do "thorough eye exams". That description on the official company website is a deceptive description of the services she received. The doctor, Dr. Nancy Harrison to be exact, performed the examination on her and said her eye was dry. In spite of it being visible that half of her face was swollen and she had lost vision in the eye. Luckily she was able to get a second opinion from another eye doctor from Stanton Optical that noticed a scratch on her cornea. Now if the company site depiction was correct, Dr. Harrison was supposed to perform a "thorough eye exams". Now she is a doctor that has been in practice since 1990. So was it sheer negligence of patient care or the lack of effort that cause the misdiagnosis? Something a doctor that has been in practice since 36 years shouldn't be missing. If you genuinely want to have excellent care for your eyes, you would avoid this place. read more

To be honest, I was referred by the VA to this office. However, after reading the reviews, I'm a little Leary due to the fact that they will be removing cataracts out of both of my eyes. Definitely glad I went to Berkeley Eye Center. Top notch place. read more

If a half a star was an option- I would give it exactly that. I don't even know where to even begin. Let me first say that the ONLY reason we even go to this place (The Morgan Ave location) is because he was referred from the VA. There has not been a single appointment where they have EVER been on time. Expect a WAIT time (yes, even if you have a set appointment) to be at least an hour behind1 majority of the time- about 1 1/2 hours. God forbid you have to call for any reason and you'll be lucky if they actually answer the phones- and if they do: expect to be on hold for 30 minutes and then want to argue with you. My husband has POA/guardianship and we submitted this paperwork MULTIPLE times yet almost every appointment - they say they don't have it on file. It's so disorganized and a joke.. The front desk staff are constantly on their cell phones. If you go up to them to even ask a question they are very rude and short. They constantly overbook people and don't have the seating to even accommodate the patients. If I was the office manager/owner- I would be beyond embarrassed. My father in law got better respectful and professional medical in Vietnam than here at the Morgan Ave location. read more

Unfortunately i had to give them a 1 star but realistically they deserve a half star. We waited for 2 hours for an appointment that was already set. The staff is very rude- very short. If you try to call them - they either won't answer or be on hold for 30 minutes. My father deserves better care than what he constantly receives. I would like to express my dissatisfaction with the service I received from your office receptionists during my recent visits on Feb 21, 2025, at the level of service I experienced at your facility. As a first-time patient who entrusts my exam and wellbeing to your facility, I expected a standard of care that unfortunately was not met during my 1st visit to Palmera Mall. Firstly, the receptionist and registration process lacked attentiveness with poor communication from the staff and the Doctor who did not introduce himself to me. I returned for a follow-up at the Morgan office, the initial impression of the staff's lacks further attentiveness with a lapse in professionalism, long wait times, poor communication which needs to be acknowledged, especially in an environment that is meant to prioritize senior patient care. WORST OFFICE EVER, PLEASE DO NOT COME HERE FOR ANY EYE ISSUES! Went to Dr. Moore to get my eye issue evaluated. (fungal corneal ulcer in left eye) Their office is completely outdated, Dr still writes paper physical scripts?? Literally NO ONE could read what he was prescribing. TERRIBLE bedside manners from Dr. Moore, he basically said I would be blind in that eye & that I wouldn't be able to work in my career anymore while I was already sobbing in the exam room. (thankfully he wasn't right) The techs were unhelpful and obviously had no clue what they were doing and had attitude. The wait time was INSANE, waited 2 hrs just to get seen for 5min... Avoid this place at all costs especially if you have kids. They are not friendly and have no table side manners when it comes to kids. My son has Autism and even though he was doing everything asked of him they couldn't complete the first part of the exam. They kept sending us back and first between the lobby and exam room. There was no good communication with the tech and I wouldn't ever want her being around another child. We ended up having to leave with my sons eyes dilated and no new prescription that he desperately needed. read more

After waiting for weeks for the office to verify a referral, I am told by the very unprofessional and rude office manager ( Mary Ellen) that there is an alert on my file that I can not be seen because of abusive language towards staff. This never happened but yet they waited weeks before notifying me. Simply because I walked out the last time because it took them forever to see me. Most of CorpusChristi medical office staffs are like this so what else should you expect. No notations were ever given to my provider and upon calling to verify they said they were unaware of such complaints. No problem, seeing these other reviews just makes it clear that they care only about the payment they receive not the patients. Glad I'm going to get care elsewhere. read more

I saw an optometrist who told me I need to have my cataract removed right away. He sent me to a different surgeon and I was concerned because I felt like I was seeing fine. I am glad I saw Dr. Sahadi for a second opinion. He told me there was a little cataract and I could have it removed when I was ready but there was no rush. He spent the time with me to make sure I got a pair of glasses so I could see well. The staff was very caring and obviously very experienced. Thank you Dr. Sahadi! read more

The Morgan Ave office has little respect for patient time. I have had two appointments, one for an exam and one for surgery. In both cases the appointment time was 10:00AM and in both cases it took over 2 hours to complete the visit. They apparently feel that the patient's time is not as valuable as that of the center staff. read more

I have seen Dr. Chick and Sahadi for many years and the doctors and staff have always provided a thorough eye exam to me and my family. I was a little uncertain when the management changed in 2011, but I went back for my yearly exams in 2012 and 2013. I can say things are getting better here every year. The building is older and is located in an older part of Corpus, but I am seeing renovations and improvements slowly happening in the waiting rooms, exam rooms and front appearance of the building. Overall it is a nicer and more welcoming environment. The office has installed computerized records and they have modern computers in all the exam rooms. It is awesome to see how my chart is available at the doctors fingertips. I feel secure knowing my chart is on a Mac computer which cant get viruses. Dr. Chick has always been very helpful to me and takes great pride in making sure I am happy with my eye- glasses and contacts. One of my favorite things about her is that she won't let me wait so I don't have to spend all day in the doctors office. The office had an empty room off the waiting room for many years. This year they put an optical shop in it. Mr. Layton who has a great reputation in Corpus Christi joined them. I decided to order my glasses from Mr. Layton. The glasses were a little more expensive than what I bought in the past. But I can say these are the best glasses I have ever had! The frames are titanium and are elegant and light. The lenses don't smudge and the antireflective helps me see better because I have a very strong prescription. Mr. Layton's attention to detail in fitting the glasses perfectly to my face really was the icing on the cake. read more
