First time visit for my teenage son today. Beautiful new building. Everyone we talked to was friendly and helpful. Came in for 9am appointment as a new patient and still sitting here at 10am. At least 10 employees. Mostly sitting around. I have wonderful insurance that pays for a free exam and free glasses but his place is all about money. They want charge me $30 extra for some special scan. Called other optometrists and they don't charge for that. As in the other review, this place is all about making money! The cheapest glasses in this place are over $135 just for the frames! Money money money. Finally got in to the office. Paid my extra $30 for the retinal map. Feels like a conveyer belt with the front office and back office. Don't come here if you want to feel like a customer or for that matter and human being. 1030 now!! If you want to spend all day at the optometrist then come here!! Even though we were not previously established patients, we were accommodated at the last minute because my husband was having pain and swelling in his eye. They found a corneal ulcer and got him on antibiotics immediately- Dr. Nguyen was so friendly and we loved him! We're very thankful that the staff there was willing to help us so quickly. read more

I have been a patient here for quite some time. Usually fantastic service. Today I tried to go in suffering from migraine, pretty desperate as my dog broke my glasses just before I went. When I arrived they told me visit would be cash pay. I told Them I had insurance. They told me sorry it's policy that they don't take insurance on Saturday's. Huh?! I asked if there were any way they could make and exception as I have been in and out of the hospital the last several days and the Er/drs suggested that I see an optometrist to determine if I had high csf pressure. They told me policy is policy and they couldn't help me even like glue or stick my glasses together so my migraine didn't become worse as I now didn't have my prescription pair anymore. I know that "one" patient loss isn't much to a big office like that busy consider me, my husband, and our children ex patients there. That's a lazy, ridiculous, policy and I felt completely judged by my even asking if they could make an exception. read more

I bought a pair of Coast prescription eye glasses from Wave Front EyeCare after I had my eyes examined by Wave Front. They are listed as Coast Del Mar authorized dealer. The nose piece screw loosen over time, I returned to Wave Front to have the nose piece fixed. They said they could fix the glasses. I then drove to an Authorized Costa Del Mar dealer in Corpus Christi, they had the tools to fix my glasses while I waited. Don't buy your glasses from Wave Front EyeCare, they don't care at all about service. read more

This was my first time at Wavefront Eyecare. I had a pleasant experience starting from entering and exiting there. The place was very clean and organized.The staff are friendly, listened to my past experiences concerning my eyes and took accurate notes. Dr. Nguyen addressed every concern, it was great not having to repeat myself to everyone along the way. He made me feel comfortable and confident, that MY eyes will be treated like HIS eyes and he will take the best care of them. After my examination he brought me back to the lobby and introduced to a friendly face ( so sorry I forgot her name) to be fitted for my glasses. So I to Wavefront Eyecare several years ago when TSO would not answer my insurance questions and appointment times where up to a two month wait. Best choice ever. I normally get seen the week I call for an appointment. Staff explains insurance options and are friendly and professional. Doctor Johnny id down rigjt effervescent. Loves his profession and his customers and makes you feel right at home. The glasses or contacts are ordered immediately followi g the docs evaluation. I made an appointment yesterday for this morning and told them my vision is getting really bad and I've been getting migraines for over a week now. I gave them my insurance info. They call me back to tell me I have a $60 copay and I said no I haven't had a one since July I met my deductible and my out of pocket for the year. I called my insurance and they said I don't have to pay a copay. I called the office back and the girl that answered did not understand what I was trying to say and she said so you just want to cancel your appointment. Teach your front office staff about insurance because I spoke to two different girls and neither one knew anything!!! They should have gotten me in because of my symptoms and my vision is so bad and getting worse. I just canceled my appointment and the girl says ok thanks bye!! Seriously I wonder if the doctor knows he has ding bats working for him or he just doesn't care. read more

I had a wonderful time visiting this office. Their office look very clean and have variety of glasses to chose from. The staffs are great, they really take their time to help me pick the right glass for me. One thing I like the most is that they don't recommend high price glasses that totally not fit for you....they make me feel like they care for my need, rather than my wallet...And the doc there is great. He really take his time to explain my problem in plain and easy language that I can understand what the hell is going on. To cut it short, go visit this place. I really recommended. After waiting two weeks for my new glasses, I was very disappointed when I put them on and couldn't see clearly thru my right lense. The upsetting part is when the assistant told me that I should wear the glasses a couple weeks, to adjust to them. I said "look" the bifocal part of the lense is twisted to the right. A obvious defect! I actually had to demand that the doctor like at the problem. Reluctantly she obliged. I had to wait another two weeks for the replacement. This place brags about the quality of their product, why then is my lense coating showing signs of wearing off in spots. read more

Dr Nguyen is a very knowledgeable and caring doctor. My daughter was scared to get her eyes checked, but Dr Nguyen made it fun and easy and she wasn't scared anymore. If you need anything done to or for your eyes, I highly recommend this doctor. read more

Great office! Service is prompt, staff is friendly and both Dr. Jordan and Dr. Nguyen take their time and explain things well and make you feel at ease.
