DO NOT RECOMMEND! They lost a dress of mine for close to a month and I went in this am to check the status - at least expecting a credit for the $28 cleaning if they did not have it. The guy at the desk told to me "relax about my dress" and went back to look for it again. They did find it, but the lack of professionalism and customer service is unacceptable. I was very reasonable the first 2-3 weeks of it missing, but they took no responsibility for misplacing nor did they give me any kind of reassurance. The high school girls are so sweet and fun but the manager there is rude! I feel like she does not respect the customers. Every time I go (because it's so close to my house) I always hope the young girls are there. You should always feel welcome walking into a business. read more

Do not do business here. As you can see by my wife's review, we were very dissatisfied with the results from an initial cleaning where we were given back damaged clothing with more stains than when it was dropped off. I did indeed meet with the owner and it was not me that was the "confrontational and condescending" one (this should be apparent to anyone that reads his extremely rude response to her review) Long story short, her clothing did end up being fixed, but this guy is a jackass. "I've been in the business 30 years, running this location for 12. I'm the best cleaner on the east coast, this is not normal for us", "I have you on video surveillance saying these stains were there when you dropped if off", "This must be cheap material", "I see your wife already left us a one star review". And I was also under the impression that his wife was recording our discussion of the clothing damage from her cell phone while I was being told how incorrect I was that it was caused from their 'cleaning' Sir, I don't need you to explain that you're the best in the business when I'm looking right at clothing damaged by you. Jobs should be done right the first time. We told the owner that the 1 star review would be revised if the service rendered to us was improved. I also told the owner EXACTLY what time I would be picking up the repaired clothing to discuss my level of satisfaction, but he did not meet with me. Update: I fully intended on leaving a higher review since my clothing fiasco did eventually get solved. After all of the back and forth, my clothes turned out beautifully, and they were even able to fix the tear in the shoulder that was created during their possession. Had my clothing been cleaned the first time like it was in the end, I would have definitely left 4 or 5 stars. However, since the owner left an extremely unprofessional (I feel) response to my review, I do not feel the need to give a higher rating on my experience. Apparently, I did not update my response quick enough for his liking. They may be excellent cleaners, I don't know. What I do know is that my clothing was not cleaned the first time, and it took additional time for the job to be done right. When choosing a cleaner, I don't want to have to work harder to be provided an excellent service. Providing great service is making sure the job is done right, the first time. The staff member who helped me pick up my clothes after everything was said and done was very friendly and helpful, and was more than polite when I asked to please see the clothing before signing anything. read more

I tried them on and she made her markings, told me she could have them done in a week or sooner if I needed it, and told me the price ($20). She was very nice and she did a good job, even offered to open my jacket pockets/vents which I had already done. The only reason not for 5 stars is the price but maybe that's just Mt. And then argue with you that they care about your clothes. Wish someone would have warned me. And I should have gone with my gut and taken it to Chris's. IF YOU ARE MILITARY AND ARE GETTING UNIFORMS DRY-CLEANED DO NOT USE THIS CLEANING SERVICE... If I could give zero stars I would. Brought my military uniforms in for dry cleaning and requested them to be neatly pressed. The employee assured me they did a lot of military business and that my uniforms would look great. I have never been so dissatisfied in the final product. I will say my whites were clean but they had pressed all of the permanent creases out of the shirt and pants and broke off some buttons which were lost. Now I'm off to the uniform shop to buy new uniforms because of the damage. read more

They do a great job. A little too pricey though, but I guess that's what happens if you're the only dry cleaner on Daniel Island.

I brought in some chair slip covers to be dry cleaned at the Daniel Island location. When I dropped them off, I requested dry cleaning (specifically). When I received the slip covers back, they did not fit my chairs and I realized the fabric was actually damaged. Coastal Carolina Cleaners made the decision to wash my slip covers, rather than dry clean, because of a stain. While I value their experience, I would have appreciated a phone call to discuss. As a result of their work, my slip covers are ruined and they claim no responsibility for the turn out. They did try to "stretch" the fabric after a cold soak so they now will go over the chairs but it looks TERRIBLE. I am so frustrated by my experience and will never visit this dry cleaners again. read more

I have to let everyone know how awesome this place is. I had a bottle of RED wine open on the counter and a football was thrown across the kitchen. Don't ever let your kids play ball in the house. The bottle went flying into the living room onto the couch!!! And of course it was a PALE YELLOW LINEN COUCH. I am not making this up!! Every cushion and pillow(9 in total) had red wine on them. Thankfully I could at least un zipper the cushions and brought them to Coastal Carolina Cleaners to see if they could help. I dropped them off and the owner Patrick called and we met to discuss. He wasn't sure if the stains would come out of the fabric but would try. A week later I got the call it all came out. I was so surprised and thankful! He had worked on it everyday trying new methods till they came out. He could of just tried one thing and called and said the stains wouldn't come out but he was determined to help me because he cared. That's the kind of cleaners you want. When you think of Coastal Carolina Cleaners don't just think "clothes." You won't be disappointed. The staff there is super friendly and professional. Horrible dry cleaner and customer service.. I took 2 of my 2 week old suits to be dry cleaned and the stitching was coming out of my jackets when i got them back. I live on the island and believe in supporting businesses here so I gave them the opportunity to fix it. The owner Patrick told me how this never happens but said he would fix it.. Took my suits there again and they burned them. According to other professionals in the business, the temperature was to hot or they over pressed them. They ruined my dress during dry cleaning. When I brought it back to have them sew the pieces back that had come undone, they not only never called when it was ready, but they missed some areas and didn't sew the others back correctly. For the prices they charge, I expect a lot more. Never going back. read more
