There wasn't many highly rated dry cleaners in Summerville so I looked up to see if there were better options in Charleston so I came across this place. Which was nice because it's on my way to work. The girl that checked me in was very nice, place looked clean and was in a small shopping center of East bay. I was scheduled to pick up on Wednesday but since it stormed Tuesday there was a delay and I picked up on Friday. My coats look great, a bit pricey I thought for 2 coats ($105). I don't get dry cleaning done often so I'm not sure with usual pricing but I felt it was a bit more than I expected. Overall they did a good job and had good customer service. read more

I had been calling no answer I had been emailing no respond back. on the 5/29 I finally got in touch with the owner Brian(843-532-3318) and he said that the streamstress had them and he don't know where she's taken my garments I said at this point I want my garments back and I'll take them somewhere else to get fixed because you guys had them for over two weeks and no one's star on them and you don't even know where they are. I dropped off all my dress shirts last week and picked them up yesterday. Service inside was very friendly and cheerful. Request for light starch was followed. Clothes are clean and pressed. These guys ruined multiple cashmere sweaters in one cleaning (huge holes, lost and broken buttons), and stupidly I gave them a second chance because they have a deal with my apartment building to do weekly pick ups, so it's convenient. Last cleaning they destroyed three of my husband's designer dress shirts. The shirts came back totally beyond repair, like ripped sleeves and huge holes, and purple stains and discolorations caused by bleach or something. I'm not sure I've ever come across a dry cleaners this bad, and they market themselves as "high end." Owner is a liar and won't take responsibility for anything. The previous 1 star review about the wedding dress is much more in line with the experience that I have had as well. A nonresponsive owner who ignores phone calls and text messages and has had a very expensive wedding dress for nearly seven months after it was supposed to be available for pick up. Below is the review I left three weeks ago on Google. Within minutes, I had a very nice response promising someone would get back to me. Nada. I truly wish I could leave a five star review like others. Unfortunately, I have not had that same experience. I dropped off a wedding dress for preservation nine months ago and was promised it by the end of January. We do not live in Charleston and were only there until the beginning of February. When I went to pick up the dress, it was not ready and I was told that Brian would call me. When I spoke to him, he assured me that since it was late, he would ship it to me. When I didn't hear anything or receive the dress, I continued to call and text. We are now six months later and I cannot get anyone to return my phone call or respond or a text. I've been trying out different dry cleaners in the Charleston area and I can say I am very unimpressed with Charleston Prestige. They had a week turnaround which is a little slow in my opinion but I can see that they were busy. When I went to pick up my dry cleaning, they charged FIFTY DOLLARS to dry clean a dress that was made of nylon and spandex. I'm in actual shock by that number, I went back in to double check and they said that that is how they price all cocktail dresses as $50. My dress has no ruffles or frills, it was a basically a slip dress, I'm flabbergasted that they are charging $50 per cocktail dress. To add context, my boyfriends custom made suit was $11 for the jacket and $10 for the pants. How is a basic dress double that. The clothes appear to be cleaned well but I brought in a white sweater and asked them to focus on getting the stain out and they didn't. I am very upset by the cost and will not be returning. I called around several places and got some pretty high rates or "we have to see it before giving a estimate". When I called prestige they answered the phone immediately with a very inviting, helpful voice. The man gave me some price points depending on the type of comforter I had and gave me an estimate on when the job could be completed. Their space in downtown off E bay st is big and easy to find. There's a bunch of reserved parking spots out front, not sure who they're reserved for, but I parked there for 5min and was fine. The lady at the front desk took my info and said it will be ready by Monday (dropped it off on Wednesday). I immediately got a text with my info and you can follow the progress of your order. It was done the next day!!!! And I got a text telling me my order was finished. I was out of town and not able to pick up til Monday and that was no issue! This place is really professional, quick and responsive. I've only had this one experience, but I am planning to go back to have my wedding dress cleaned and preserved. My experience with this business was abysmal. I have never written a Yelp review. Buckle in. Prestige Cleaners completely botched the cleaning of my wedding dress, and then the owner refused to take any accountability and point-blank lied to me when I asked him directly about it. -Background- My sister dropped off my wedding dress the day after my wedding to get it cleaned through Prestige Cleaner's Bridal process at the downtown location. The dress had some dirt and a small wine stain. The employee assured my sister it would be hand-done and take about four months, which would be a minimum of $300. The employee was pretty confident they could get most of the dirt stains out. On my ticket, it says "BRIDE." About a month and a half after my dress was dropped off, I got news that my wedding dress was ready for pickup. Surprised that it was ready so soon, I went to pay my bill, and my dress was categorized as a "cocktail dress - long" on my bill. The cost was only $65.52. My friend picked up the dress for me as I don't live in the area, and the dirt stains were still very noticeable. I was so upset and confused because I thought it would take longer and be at least $300 because it was a hand-done process. I called the number listed online to ensure my dress was given the promised hand-done bridal process. The owner answered the call. -This is Where it Gets Wild- The owner explained that they only try to clean the garment (3) times, and sometimes stains don't come out. I was confused, took him at his word, and hung up. But it didn't sit right. I tried to call back to ask a few more questions, and my calls kept going to voicemail. I had my husband call from his phone, and the call was picked up on the first try. My husband blankly asked the owner if my dress was hand-done or just dry-cleaned. The owner proceeded to have the audacity to tell my husband that we were confused by the "semantics." He finally said that my dress was dry-cleaned but that it wasn't any different from the process they do for bridal gowns. Again, I was confused because we were told it was a different process when my sister dropped it off. I called back again the next day. In my final conversation with the owner, I told him I still needed clarity on what had happened with my dress. I asked him directly: was my dress treated as a bridal gown like we were promised? He ASSURED me that it was. I asked him why it said "cocktail dress" on my bill, and he told me that it wouldn't say Bridal on the bill. Still unsatisfied and wanting to talk to someone else, I called another location. First, I asked if the process they use for wedding dresses is different from regular dry-cleaning. She answered yes. Then I told her what happened with my dress, and she looked up my account. Thank God for this woman. I thought I was going insane. She could see from the account that my dress was miscategorized and was accidentally just regularly dry-cleaned because someone had put it in as a "cocktail dress." Prestige Cleaners did not treat my wedding dress with the hand-done bridal process we were promised because it was incorrectly labeled. She explained that the two methods were different and that the regular dry-clean process they gave to my dress was a mistake. She offered me a full refund because of the error and apologized. -The Owner Refuses to Issue a Refund- I got my dress cleaned at another establishment, paid the $300 bridal fee, and the stains were out in less than a week. After about a month, I still had not received my refund, so I called the owner to ask him about it. He said that the woman who promised me a full refund was not authorized to give them and that I had "circumvented" him. He refused to issue me a refund. When I explained that she told me what happened to my dress and told me I would receive a refund, he got furious and yelled at me to "stop it, stop it, stop it" and hung up on me. -In Conclusion- I understand that mistakes happen. What is so upsetting and disappointing about this is that the business owner, on multiple occasions, refused to take accountability and had the audacity to try to make me feel like I wasn't getting it. I am generally pretty gracious, but this is absolutely no way to run a business. read more

Prestige does quality work and provides outstanding customer service. I arrived in town for a wedding late on a Thursday night and called them on Friday morning to have my shirt and suit along with my girlfriend's gown cleaned and pressed. I was told that while the deadline for same day service had passed, they would still take care of it as long as I could drive there to drop it off right away. When I got there, Jeanne told me again that the deadline had already passed but confirmed that they would be able to add my clothes for that day and gave me a 5pm estimate for the services to be completed. Everything ended up being ready around 3:30pm and the quality of their services was top notch (our clothes looked great). I have a mixed experience overall finding quality dry cleaners that can turn around clothes for out of town events, but Prestige really helped to lessen the stress. I don't ever get my clothes washed and folded, typically do it myself, and after trying once with this establishment, I won't do it again. Stuff ready a full day after I was quoted. Then went to pick up and half the order was still "on the way" even though I received notification it was ready for pickup. Looks like a 4 year old folded it, and it's all wrinkled like they left it in a machine for hours, even my collared shirts. Won't be doing this again, especially not with this company. There is no communicating with them unless you go in there physically. I had a dress shirt that was given back to me with white stains all over that was not on there when I gave them the shirt to clean. The lady at the counter was very respectful and said they would send it back to see what they could do to fix it. After a few days I received a message that my shirt was ready to find out there was nothing they could do to fix my shirt. The lady at the counter said she was making a note and would have the owner, Brian, call me later that day or the next day to see what they could do to make it right. Two weeks had gone by and I still hadn't received any calls from them. I started to call the store each day and have left over 6 voicemails with no response. Three of the times that I had called; I received a text back from them saying they would call me right back. That never happened. I called the 843-532-3318 number on their website, the 843-408-4265 on google and the 843-202-0615 number which is their west ashley store. No one answered at any of their locations every single time I called and no one called me back after all of the voicemails I left.
