I recently took my clock that needed repair to this shop. I was met by two women, one young and one…read moreolder. The older woman did not look up or acknowledge my presence as I stood at the counter waiting for service. Eventually, the younger woman came to the counter and processed my clock for repair; she said someone would contact me when they determined what was wrong with the clock and the cost to fix it. I waited one week and stopped in to check on the price. Again, I stood at the counter for a period, before I realized there was an older man in the back; he could see the counter from where he sat. He finally got up and came to me and asked "Can I help you?" This man was so rude until I decided not to pay money or support this company. My clock was on the counter with a tag on it, and I reached for the clock to look at the tag. He grabbed the clock as I had one end and told me he needed to see the receipt for the clock. I told him I couldn't find the receipt, but the tag on the clock had my name on it. He told me I couldn't have my clock if I didn't give him the receipt and proceeded to snatch the clock from my hand while giving me a stern defiant look. They did not work on the clock because they neglected to tell me I had to give my consent before they would proceed with repairs. I dug through my purse and found the tag the younger women gave me when I left the clock for repairs the week before. I put the receipt on the counter as we went back and forth about the situation. I let him know there is a way to treat customers, and customers are the success or failure for any company. I planned to take my business to another company in the area; there was no way I would support the Savannah Clock Shop. I am not accustom to this type of disrespect, and I feel the owners of this company would benefit from a basic course to understand the importance of customer service. I gave them One-Star, and honestly, they didn't deserve that!

We had the…read moreClocksmith come out and they did some test and a inspection and recommend replacement of mechanical movements. He replaced the movement with a new one and it never would keep time even after adjusting the pendulum. This is when Bryan the owner got involved. He came out to the house with his tech who installed the movement. They troubleshoot what they could and decided he had to replace the new movement. He made a phone call and had a new one ordered that very day. After a few days I received a call from Bryan, he apologized and said he had ordered the wrong movement. He said he had the correct movement sitting in his shop and was running it through to ensure it was keeping correct time. He kept it for a couple of more weeks then came out to install. It's been working correctly ever since. I like doing business with The Clocksmith, he is straight forward and owned up to his mistake and made it right. If your looking for a quick cheap repair, this is not the shop for you. I had to wait a few weeks initially for him to get back to my initial texts but the quality of his work and the friendly attitude of his tech Duncan was worth it. If you have a tall clock and it's having problems contact The Clocksmith, I'm glad I did

I am highly impressed with work he did the time he took and even though he went through a hurricane or at least a portion of it he still took the time to do the job right didn't skip anything took no shortcuts. This man would rather take time and do it right then do a half-ass job and to ship it out the door. Hell if I could give this guy 10 Stars I would. He's well worth it!!!! Michael E Rochester Mn
