I'm guessing he was David. He was super knowledgeable and fair. He helped a lady before I was in and it was a quick 10 min repair that he charged a very small amount for. My visit was to get my wife's eternity wedding band repaired. Two of the 25+ diamonds were loose. My wife checked with Kay's, and a couple other local shops--all were around 2 week turnaround and $99. He did it the same day! I called this location and he said it would be a quick fix and that it should be around $35. Upon arriving, he inspected all the settings and said come back in around 30 mins. Once I returned, he had just helped a lady with an old compass. It was a simple fix that he helped her with in a matter of seconds and didn't even charge her. My ring was fixed and only cost $35! He even cleaned it too! Will be going back. I now have a jewelry and watch "guy"!!

I was told it might not be worth over $500 and not worth insuring. Completely devastated by their comments, as I had spent thousands for the piece only to hear that it wasn't worth anything. I congratulated them in their profit and told them to fix it. I was upset, feeling taken advantage of, and cheated. I cannot do business with people I don't trust their opinion and expertise. At purchase they sold me on the piece, then in this visit they gloated how it wasnt worth anything and ganged up on me that they never would have said otherwise. On top of being taken advantage of, their condescending, smug attitude is difficult to overlook. I was looking for a jeweler, not just for one purchase but to have a wishlist for future items. I understand they need to make a profit but items are heavily overpriced and the same items can be found elsewhere for less. In the heat of the moment I left my repair with them but wish I hadn't. After pickup it will be the last time I trust them with my patronage. Lastly, the joy of buying real jewelry, something beautiful and to represent more than itself has been tainted with unnecessary ugliness. Upon picking up the item and its appraisal, it was fixed and the appraisal was within range of what was spent for the piece of jewelry. A prime example of horrible customer service and the attitude of the staff. I expect honesty and decency from those I do business with, especially touted experts.

A nightmare from start to finish. I dropped one of my vintage watches on the ground and the crystal…read moreshattered. It's a very simple mechanical watch from overseas that I was fond of. The date window looked fine and all I could see was only the crystal had shattered. I brought it to Emblers hoping to get it fixed quickly. They don't do any watch repairs in house and told me they'd have to ship it to a watch specialist to get a quote and to get it fixed. The cost of shipping even before the quote seemed high but I said yes since I was in a rush to get it fixed. It took Embler maybe 1.5 weeks before I got a quote and another 3 months before they told me it was fixed. I was calling almost every week and a half. They claimed they left a message but never did. Looking at the watch the crystal they replaced it with was nice but the date window was completely broken. When I wound it it was off center and the number didn't line up with the window anymore. I also got the watch back with the date window on a different date than when I had dropped it off, the watch was stopped when I had given it to Embler. I called Embler and he stonewalled me and claimed the watch maker had never opened it and would never do such a thing. What more he also claimed their watch maker had been working on watches longer than "you've been alive" and he worked all day on Patek Philippes and Rolexes and there's no way he'd ever break my watch. They refused to reimburse me for the damages and only offered to refund the replaced crystal. I was livid and didn't take Embler up on the offer as I was on rotating shift work working nights and was about to change Navy duty stations shortly after. I didn't want to even go back after being disrespected and gaslit. My watch is still broken and I don't have the time right now to get it fixed anymore. Don't trust this place with your watches. I don't have experience with their jewelery but I wouldn't trust them with that either. Take your watches or jewelery repair to Summerville Jewlery Repair instead, I had a great experience with them.
