Was in town visiting and always like to pop in to local breweries. This place was busier than I expected for a Wednesday evening. They had a great outdoor area with picnic tables, bounce houses, and a sand volleyball court. Inside was decent size and decorated well. I sat at the bar since I was alone. Bartender (Hunter) was very friendly and attentive. Offered good suggestions on their draft beer. Really enjoyed the Sundrop IPA- good quality hazy ipa. Also really liked the Island Hopper. It was an American pale ale which isn't usually my go-to but Hunter recommended it, and I really enjoyed it. Food wise- I had the grilla' dilla with pork. Had good flavor and a nice crisp to the tortilla. Came with chips and salsa as a side. Overall, really enjoyed my time and will likely return on my next trip to the area read more

Doodles' Day Out was such a fun time! This was Lucy's first doggie outting and she was the best princess. She couldn't sniff enough Doodle, DOODLE EVERYWHERE! We visited this spot to sample some of their beer. While our main focus was the beer, they do serve food, which looked appetizing at the neighboring tables. I ordered a flight that included the Hazy Decision IPA along with three dark selections. As a big fan of dark beers, I had high hopes, but unfortunately, their dark beers fell short for me. On the other hand, the Hazy Decision IPA was excellent and stood out as a highlight. What a cool neighborhood local type of place! Way bigger than expected and the back area with live music and games is fantastic. Very dog friendly inside and out, which we love. We had lunch there today at their outdoor patio with our dog. It was a bit chilly but the patio had some shelter from the wind and the sunshine felt great. I had the brown ale and he had the porter. Both very enjoyable! I had the chicken salad on toasted sourdough. He had the Cuban. Each had a unique and distinct taste that we found incredibly good and counted ourselves fortunate to have discovered this little gem quite by accident during our travels. Our favorite kind of place after a dog park visit. Good beer, good food, great vibe. The staff couldn't have been more friendly. A woman we think may have been the manager (sorry we didn't get your name!) came over and loved on our dog. What a treat! We had a great conversation. Great selection, wide variety and original flavors, these are really top-notch craft beers. We got a flight of four beers and enjoyed them enough to purchased some cans to take back home with us. The staff was very friendly to us and they were all really kind to our dog Lucy, letting us know at the end of our meal that there was an entire dog park that we could take Lucy to out back for her to run around off-leash. (There also picnic tables, playground equipment and two bouncehouses for the kiddos) What a great time we all had there! We'll definitely be back! read more

Another great brewery I have found in panhandle Florida area. I was in Pensacola for the day and decided to drop by and I'm glad I did. I'm basing my review off the beer because it's a brewery. I had a coastal ale and it was very refreshing and I enjoyed the taste, especially on these hot summer humid days lately here. I will definitely be coming back. Good food. Good service. Good atmosphere! We had a party of 25 last minute this weekend for a wedding. We all have kids of all ages and needed somewhere with covered seating for the on and off rain and a place they didn't have to be bored since we all had been busy all day. We called around mid afternoon and they held us 3 tables under their awning next to the ping pong tables and the drinks (perfect for all involved haha!) They have a little playground-ish area and a sandy beach area, with yard games and tons for the kids to just enjoy and let us relax and hang out with our friends and family we don't get to see being states away from each other. The beer selection is great from what we saw. Everyone seemed to enjoy their choices (my husband and I don't drink anymore but we love when others can enjoy it lol!) Our crazy family personally got the following: Kids Grilled Cheese and Chips Kids PB&J and chips and pickle slices too The Dip Trio: Buffalo chicken dip, jalapeño popper dip, and beer cheese served with chips (best thing ever) Chicken Salad Club Sabdwich with Potato Salad The Cuben with Potato Salad Chicken Quesadilla Chips and Queso Some of the other things ordered in the group were: The club sandwich Mac & Cheese The Giant Pretzel (so stinking good) Every single thing we ordered was good. We were traveling from Fort Walton to meet a friend from Mobile. Pensacola was our half way point. None of us knew a lot about the area, so we consulted Yelp to help us make a decision about where to go. Coastal County Brewing received great ratings and was near I-10, so we decided to try it. We realized quickly that it is a popular place, so parking was tricky, but fortunately there was an overflow parking lot. When we arrived, I was really impressed. There seemed to be something for everyone. They had a volleyball net set up as well as a disc golf course. There was also a live band playing outside plus plenty of seating, so you could be close to the band or sit away from the music. They even had a party area. In fact the day we visited, someone was having a 50th birthday party. The brewery and tap room seems to have once been a one story house, so it is very large on the inside. Also the outsid area is huge. They serve food as well as beer, wine, cider, mead, hard seltzers and hard tea. They also have several gluten free options as well as small plate vegetarian meals. read more

The Mrs. and I were in town for a day and stopped by Coastal County Brewing for a late lunch and a craft beer. It was our first visit and it appears that the location may be a new one. Not too impressive from the outside, but the inside ambiance is inviting with an extremely casual, laid back "island" type vibe that is warm and welcoming. You can order from the bar or have table service and staff is friendly and efficient. There is a beer garden out back. Sandwiches are good and salads and appetizers are available. I had the Pig Out sandwich which combines pulled pork, ham and bacon and my wife had the Reuben. Both were generously sized and succulent. Slaw sides were good. We shared a beer flight of four of their home grown brews and all were good. Favorites were the dark stout and the amber. If you're looking for a fancy night out you're going to be disappointed, but if you're looking for good sandwiches and brewskis in a down home environment, you'll like Coastal County Brewing. read more

We found out they didn't have anything going on for the dogs other than a fenced in area and dog friendly seating. The chilli dogs and blackberry sours we had were good. The pork Mac and cheese not so. Tasted like Velveeta with not much flavor or pork. The waitress was nice and people friendly. Would not go back there for any dog events unless they up their game. Coastal County Brewing is a relatively new brewery in Pensacola, Florida that would be easy to drive by and dismiss it and/or not even realize it is a craft brewery (it looks more like a little restaurant or more so a little lunch place). Those that miss it are truly missing out on some incredible beer served by an extremely friendly staff. After trying a few samples, I opted for their milkshake New England IPA, which they called "Hazy Decisions." This beer was a good rendition of a New England IPA and their addition of lactose not only thickened the beer, but added a velvety, luxurious mouthfeel to this beer. The usual citrusy taste was still prevalent and overall, I enjoyed this beer. My bartender was Jessica, who was great. She was friendly and helped me navigate through the multitude of beer offerings. They also have a "beer it forward" program where you can buy a beer for someone, whether it is a particular person or just, as one person on the board had it, "to someone who need it" (a nice sentiment from a person identified as Megan C). Overall, I must applaud this new craft beer brewery and I am positive that it will be a successful addition to Pensacola's craft beer scene. I can say that I will be back and encourage everyone who likes beer to give this place a shot. They seem to have a decent menu, but I only had beer. The special on the particular Monday that I was there was a classic gyro, which they were offering for $9.95. The gyro came came with your choice of chips, creole potato salad or what they billed as their "house slaw." Maybe next time. read more
