Usually, I've been to stand-alone Quest locations but this was inside Atmed Urgent Care. It was easy to locate and there are plenty of parking spots. I went into the building and found Suite 122, there are plenty of signs in the building. I wrote my name down on the sign-in sheet and took a seat in the waiting room. A few minutes later, my name was called and I spoke with a woman. I gave her the QPassport my new employer provided and she brought me to the back. The whole process was seamless.

4/1/23 Update Requested prescription refill via portal on…read moreThursday. They sent over the wrong prescription. Sent message via portal asking for correct one to be sent. No response. On Friday I sent a follow up message in the am. No response. I called around 3 and was told by doctors Assistant that the covering physician would send over later that night. It is now Saturday, no prescription as been sent. Guess I'll call again on Monday. 8/14/22 Update They do not answer messages on the portal. They do have a new answering system that forwards call to their doctors assistant to leave a message but still no call backs. I do not understand why communication is so difficult for this company. I would love to change my primary provider; however, initial visit wait times are close to a year for other faculties. Guess I am stuck for now. While my doctor is amazing, the office staff is outrageously rude and abhorrent. When calling for any reason expect to be on hold for 20-50 minutes. When they finally get around to answering your call they will then immediately hang up on you. When you call back, should you be so lucky to get someone on the phone, if you complain about the hold/hang up, they will rudely explain it is their automated system, not the office. They have had this "automated system" for about 4 years now. I have been complaining about it for four years. No wonder they have such low rantings. They must not care about their outdated, useless technology, or are hiring shit staff. It should not take less time to drive to my doctor's office, visit the staff, drive home, then it does call waiting

You then leave a voicemail to have someone call you back. They may or may not ca you back that day. Then, they'll tell you to use the online portal to schedule appointments and message your doctor, of which neither functionality is available. The only appointments you can make online are for the urgent care center, which isn't helpful. Then, your primary doctor will be unavailable and you'll have to follow up with one of their physician assistants. I like my doctor, but their patient satisfaction needs some work here. Not a good place if you need long term follow up from a primary care provider.

When I talk to other people they seem to think all of this is normal, but it's not what I've been used to. First of all, the office waiting area as well as the building is a little run down. It would be nice to have an office that makes you feel fresh, even if you're not feeling fresh yourself. The first time I met with Dr. Dorris, she was nice, but she came into the room with an agenda. After I left and went to pick up my medication, I found out that she has prescribed another vitamin that she did not tell me about. This is the same vitamin that she asked about as soon as she walked into the room, before she even got to know me, so I feel like she filed the prescription before she even met with me. I actually already take this vitamin, as I told her, so there was no need to get a prescription for it. Each time since then I have had to wait a considerable amount of time both in the waiting room and then again in the room. Once when I was 5 minutes late, they almost scolded me for it, but with the waiting experience I have had there before, I haven't seen the need to be on time only to wait there. For the last time, it took an hour just to have a med check - something that should've taken less than 15 minutes.

Strong practice Convenient bloodwork…read moreTechnologically savvy It's high time for an update, and I have both more and better things to say about Wayland Medical ~12 years in. Getting appointments with the practice has been notably smooth throughout my time with them; the staff is willing to work with you based on your needs and clinician availability. I've also enjoyed seeing a few of the other practice members (eg Benitez, Berg, Rodriguez), each of whom is thorough, knowledgeable, and helpful. The use of the Healow medical app as a portal, and their fully integrated connectivity to electronic medical record systems, has given me peace of mind that all my instances of care are suitably connected in one place. It's also convenient to be able to head downstairs for a quick and easy blood draw when required - and again, clear results are available in the app shortly thereafter. I've also noticed the patient set is younger than it used to be - not just geriatrics anymore. As important as anything above, Dr Ruggieri is friendly and engaged during visits, as the rest of the staff I've dealt with are also. I definitely have a "medical home" at Wayland Medical.

I do not have any dental insurance so I was expecting to get soaked. In my case they were unable to extract it but they gave me a great referral, antibiotics, and the highest pain med they could which was only high dose acetaminophen. But they did all they could. I was very happy with the care I received and understood why they couldn't just pull the tooth.

They are not at all forthcoming about disseminating your health information - no patient portal? Why not? They said I can request a report and they'd mail me one. When I called about my bill and asked what percentage had been paid by my insurance, I was actually asked "Why do you need to know that, your insurance paid it" - I said, I'm not a blind consumer and I have a right to know that. What kind of thing is that to say to a client, 'why do you need to know?' I was told the provider does his/her own coding. It seems they operate under a cloak of secrecy and underperform while overcharging.

I've been here 4 times, 3 for fillings and they've never gone very well. This last time, I had an extern do my fillings which I agreed to, but she got black stuff on my lip to seal the cavity that wasn't coming off and it's been nearly 8 hours and my tongue is still numb. I told her it felt weird when she put the novocain in but she told me that means she put it in the right place. This is my 3rd time getting Novocain in the last 6 months and it's never taken this long to wear off. My only positive experience has been my cleaning. Unfortunately would not recommend because the staff is nice
