4/1/23 Update Requested prescription refill via portal on Thursday. They sent over the wrong prescription. Sent message via portal asking for correct one to be sent. No response. On Friday I sent a follow up message in the am. No response. I called around 3 and was told by doctors Assistant that the covering physician would send over later that night. It is now Saturday, no prescription as been sent. Guess I'll call again on Monday. 8/14/22 Update They do not answer messages on the portal. They do have a new answering system that forwards call to their doctors assistant to leave a message but still no call backs. I do not understand why communication is so difficult for this company. I would love to change my primary provider; however, initial visit wait times are close to a year for other faculties. Guess I am stuck for now. While my doctor is amazing, the office staff is outrageously rude and abhorrent. When calling for any reason expect to be on hold for 20-50 minutes. When they finally get around to answering your call they will then immediately hang up on you. When you call back, should you be so lucky to get someone on the phone, if you complain about the hold/hang up, they will rudely explain it is their automated system, not the office. They have had this "automated system" for about 4 years now. I have been complaining about it for four years. No wonder they have such low rantings. They must not care about their outdated, useless technology, or are hiring shit staff. Their phone system says "your wait time will be no longer than 4 minutes" and then transfers you to the primary care physicians assistant, who doesn't pick up either. You then leave a voicemail to have someone call you back. They may or may not ca you back that day. Then, they'll tell you to use the online portal to schedule appointments and message your doctor, of which neither functionality is available. The only appointments you can make online are for the urgent care center, which isn't helpful. Then, your primary doctor will be unavailable and you'll have to follow up with one of their physician assistants. I like my doctor, but their patient satisfaction needs some work here. Not a good place if you need long term follow up from a primary care provider. read more

This place is horrible. They do not care about your time. I waited 50 minutes just to see a doctor that I had an appointment with. This doctor also cancelled on me 3 times prior because he "couldn't see me" and he "wanted to leave early." They are not concerned about their patients at all. Very disappointed in the service. From the follow up visit with PA Shenik Vyas to the office staff ------ we have had an amazing experience. Nik as they call him was knowelegable, professional and courteous. and explained everything in details we could understand. He referred us to specialist we will be needing. We had some forms that needed to be completed in a certain time frame and the office staff went above and beyond to accommodate. Made an appointment as a new patient for a yearly physical. When I get to the appointment the CNA informs me that this an "establish" appointment (i.e. paperwork/history) and I would have to reschedule a physical appointment. After becoming upset and questioning how on earth they get insurance to pay for a paperwork appointment, they agree to do the physical. A week later and I'm waiting with my husband for a cortisone injection. Appointment was for 11:45. It is now 12:15. Still waiting. You can better believe that if we were half an hour late for this appointment we would be charged a missed appointment fee and be forced to reschedule. ETA: Wait was over an hour. I have been seen by 2 awesome doctors here and currently am in need of an appointment- both my husband and myself turned to this practice in an effort to start taking better care of ourselves- however- I have spent over 2 hours on hold over the past 4 days trying to get an appointment- with no success. I'm going to have to look for another doctor at this point. So sad. read more

Since the transition, I have waited over a half an hour for appointments, then when I call to reschedule, no one answers the phone. The receptionists are lazy, avoid interaction with clients, and do not return voicemails. I am now looking for a new PCP. read more

My primary doc retired a few years ago and I was referred to Lincoln Primary Care. Absolutely the worst customer service I have ever experienced at a doctors office. They cancel appointments regularly, do not return voicemails and are not reliable when you need them. I cant count how many times I have reached out to see the doc and was told no. Simply stated, you won't find a better healthcare provider anywhere in New England. That's right. In New England. Not in Boston. Not in Connecticut. Anywhere. Not one. Ken H said it - fast, friendly, and efficient, but not hurried at all. All other doctors and medical facilities should take note of how they do business there. At Lincoln Primary Care, You don't feel like cattle, or just another bill to the insurance company. You feel comfortable, and relaxed knowing that the nice people you're interfacing with care about your concerns. The PCP (primary care physician, not the psychedelic drug, dude - far out!) that I saw before this was good, but even his office was slow. The one before him I fired after a single appointment because it took NEARLY TWO HOURS beyond my appointment time just to get me in to see a doctor. There is nothing worse than rotting in a waiting room for 90 minutes when you show up on time for your appointment at a doctor's office. At other places, it's like being in a prison. Nobody wants to deal with a loud snotnosed kid, someone practically yelling on a cell phone despite the three signs in any doctor's office that says ***SHUT YOUR FRIGGIN' CELL PHONE OFF***, people sitting there staring at you, and the TV tuned to some reality show grating at my nerves. That's something that I've encountered at nearly every other doctor, dentist, or hospital that I've been to over the years. By the time I finally get in to see the doctor at those places, I'm ready for a 30-pack of Valium, or to see a psychiatrist to deal with the stress involved - or both. At this office, you'll have none of that. it's often that I am in and out of there five minutes after my scheduled appointment, because they've frequently taken me early when I've arrived early and work very efficiently. I've been seeing Mark Clarke for three years, and, well, he's the best. Hands down. He's someone that could be your friend outside of the doctor's office. He's a nice guy, he's a funny guy, he's personable, down to earth, and he actually cares about your concerns - unlike some doctors that are stoic robots with prescription pads rushing you out the door so he can bill the next patient's insurance company. Time is money, right??? You'll never feel that way here. The office staff is great, sparing one rude Latina broad that answered the phone once. I am not a "nightmare customer" by any stretch, and she was really short and rude with me. It's very much unlike this office to have anyone working there like that. Maybe she was filling in, or something. Or she was walking by as the phone was ringing and decided to randomly answer it... Nevertheless, I've only encountered her once, and hope to not have to deal with her again. I would assume that she's probably gone by now, working at a Burger King drive-thru in like Pawtucket, barking into the microphone as she hits the "large fries" button on the cash register. Nobody else at that office - NOBODY - is even remotely rude. She didn't "fit the bill", so to speak. It's unfortunate that I even had to mention the hag. She doesn't really even deserve the specific mention. I was PISSED when I got off the phone with her. ANYWAY. I am still giving the office five stars because they've been amazing for years. One incident out of maybe 100 calls and visits isn't going to change my rating for them. So far I've seen Fred Lyttle and Mark, and they're both super uptempo great guys, and very good at what they do. I would imagine that it would be tough to book with them because they're GREAT. I did, however, manage to get them to start seeing my best friend as she needed to find a primary care doctor, and they were able to book her within a WEEK OF MY CALL!!! Not surprised this place already has 5 stars. I was sick as a dog with a mystery illness and needed to find a primary care office fast. I had slacked since I moved to RI and had used MinuteClinic each time I was sick but my issues now needed more care. I had called and they were able to squeeze me in within 48 hours with Karen Rugg who is a nurse practitioner there. I didn't know what to expect but she was attentive the moment I came in rambling about my various issues and had great overall beside manner - funny, nice and listened. She was thorough in terms of her follow up and I appreciated the genuine desire to want to figure out what was wrong with me. One thing I appreciate about this practice is that the moment you become a patient, they give you access to an easy to use online portal where you can access all of your medical information. Not only do they issue you a login but they actually truly use the tools in the portal. There is an option to message your doctor through the tool and after using the tool twice to message her about things I needed (a doctor's note and a prescription), Karen was very quick to respond in that she has both ready for me the day of and someone from her office called me to let me know. All in all, I'm super impressed and would gladly recommend Karen Rugg and team to anyone in the area looking for a reliable, responsive and kind doctor's office. read more

If I could I would put no stars at all. Waited for close to 2 hours once. The billing department is ALWAYS, I mean ALWAYS trying to get me to pay a copay for a MVA check up that is covered by insurance. Even when I call or come in physically to ask the doctor a question he is NEVER EVER available. *My favorite one* call to be placed on hold and hanged up on after a few minutes Leave messages and I promise you the doctor won't even respond back, well mine don't. Really disappointed with this office. The PA's are very competent, but the phone set up is horrible...no one ever returns a call, either. I called on Monday for an appointment for a painful infection. I was seen on Wednesday at 10:45. I was promised a prescription for an antibiotic that would alleviate my symptoms. At 3:30 PM, I drove up to my pharmacy to be told "You have no prescriptions". I called the office and was directed by the automated answering device to "leave a message". I waited a while, received no callback, and called the main line again, and after staying on hold a long time, I was directed to "leave a message" AGAIN. I give up. I'll be moving on to finding another care provider that actually cares. read more

Not a fan of doctors so it takes a lot to get me here. I did some research online and found this place had great reviews. When I called to make an appointment they were very nice and accommodating. Everyone there from the nurses to Pas , to the doctor was very friendly and made me feel at ease. They do things electronically and I had my prescriptions waiting for me at the pharmacy when I left. If your leery of the Doctor this is a place you will feel comfortable for sure. read more

Ok so I needed a dr as my head felt a little strange and I could feel fluid in my ears...my primary dr is across the country and they were able to get me an appt (if I wanted to agree to keep coming to see this dr as a primary while I am here) the next morning. It is not the nicest doctors office I have been in...the lady at the desk was really friendly but the waiting room was sort of noisy and really smelled like cigarette smoke...which grossed me out. The wait was like 20-30 min after my appt time so that sucked, since I arrived early like asked. I never really get sick, I take really good care of myself and having a degree in nutrition has caused me to sort of fear a lot of doctors because they try to do the quick cure and throw you on some pills for every little thing. So I was really nervous to say the least. The nurse was a little obnoxious. She was kind of unprofessional but it was whatever and I honestly just ignored her. In comes the doctor... he was awesome. Found out I was perfectly healthy and saw no reason to have me come for a physical since I was here for school and just needed a physician while I am here for grad school. Told me to come in whenever I feel sick or if I need anything, he also informed me they can almost always squeeze me in when need be. He didn't push any unnecessary drugs on me either! Gave me some home remedies that I had not thought of to try and they worked! The next day my vertigo was gone and my ears were no longer plugged! He was big into alternative medicine so that made me feel really great and I will definitely set aside any issues I had with the place to go see him when I need to. He was totally professional and took the time while the examination to explain and draw the details of what is going on and even chatted up my boyfriend and I about places to go and see while we are living here! read more

I've recently become a patient at Lincoln Primary Care. The primary care physician I was assigned to is Daniel Mulligan physician's assistant. I just wanted to take a minute to extend my gratitude for the treatment I've received. Since moving to Rhode Island, I've had 3 different Primary Care physicians over a period of 6 years. I have not had a doctor Pryor to meeting Daniel Mulligan that I felt was Thoreau enough or as involved as mr. Mulligan. I told mr. Mulligan how impressed I was with his treatment. This place is a joke ...:/ The employees are sooooo rude no matter who you talk to... Please find another place ... Don't waste your time I try to get a refill on my pill an nobody gets back to you .... You can leave so many voicemails and it doesn't matter they will not get back to .... The only good thing is that the Doctor is always available on his cell if you need to call him/ but he is a little crazy... He speaks so loud that anyone waiting in the other rooms or the waiting room can hear everything.... I listened to everything the doctor said to other patients ... One of the times I visited the one of the employees had 2 her kids running around the clinic ...so weird and unprofessional. read more

In a few years, two of the female PAs I liked have left and now have a new one. Really liked Nicole who was very thorough and the new person Christine Is good. However you can never get through to the office and they never return calls. If they cancel your appointment you have to wait over a month to get back in. I have been a patient of Jason Xyanellis for years and even followed him to Lincoln from Providence. Found him to be very condescending my last visit. Did not want to listen to me at all. Finally asked why I was there (guess what - you told me I had to make an appointment before you would renew my prescriptions). Very obvious he does not want me as a patient so I will definitely find a new physician. Receptionist was rude got in to see one of the doctors and he basically said there's nothing he can do for me as I don't have insurance. I had a 2:15 appointment and wasn't seen until 3:00! The receptionists are less than friendly and the staff that work there clearly don't want to be there. Dr. Martin completely brushed off my mental health concerns and didn't even give me a chance to talk about my physical symptoms and concerns. He was very quick to push a medication on me and shove me out of there. He then asked a question about my sleep habits, I answered, and was then questioning me as to why my small children sleep in my bed. I felt like just another insurance number in the system and not like a patient. I'll give him one last shot for my appointment next week. Strongly considering switching doctors. This place is a joke. One year ago I saw Karen Rugg (not a doctor) and got testing done. I called and called and never could get results. I finally made an appointment to get my results since I couldn't get any info from anyone on the phone. she finally comes into the room and I explain that I have been trying to get my results for a long time and she never called me back. She says "well you called so many times. I don't know what you expect. I have other patients besides you." I walked out. How incredibly rude. Fast forward to today. I Have been seeing Fred Little (also not a doctor). I saw him in December and since it hadn't been a year since my last physical he sent me for blood work and had me make an appointment for January. I show up for my appointment and they never coded it as a physical so they wouldn't take me in. I asked can I just have my test results? Not unless I wanted to go in and pay a co pay to have Fred read them to me. Aren't they MY Records? So I make yet another appointment and this time my mother (who is a breast cancer survivor) comes with me because SHE can't get her results either. I wait 45 minutes and finally get in. Fred comes in and my mom says I've been trying to get my results for weeks. He says well I only have time for your daughter blocked off. So you can reschedule if you want me to deal with her first. You want me to reschedule AGAIN after YOU screwed up my last appointment and had me wait 45 minutes for my appointment and all either of us want is our test results! I tell him to just get me my records and instead of asking what's wrong or how he can help make the situation better he storms out like a child. I even said "wait wait" to maybe further discuss it and he ignored me and left. Final straw. I should have left this review and stopped going after being treated poorly the first time but I gave the benefit of the doubt and assumed it was one particular person. However now I realize that this insensitivity is just the way this place is run. Lesson learned. I'll get my records mailed and find a REAL doctor who actually follows up with you and gives a damn. UPDATE: Since my mother has been going to him for seven years she decided to go back and try to talk with him. They gave her a "courtesy visit" and she went in. He said to her I am only going to give you your test results and she said she would like to talk to him as well. He said "well if that what you want, you might as well go home". They did eventually talk and he made comments like "you and your daughter made nasty comments to me" (I guess asking for my record is nasty?) and said "your daughter has a pattern of this behavior. This is my second time at this office but I'm seeing a new doctor this time. I was a few minutes late(10 minutes) and even called to tell them that I was running behind but on my way. The woman on the phone says that they aren't sure if he will have time for me now but since I am in my way to come anyways. I get to the office and no one says anything about if the doctor has time. It's now been an hour and I had to ask the receptionist if he is on time. She tells me that she forgot to mention but if there is time they will try and squeeze me in. Are they serious?? I love Dr. Dalessandro. His preventive and natural approach to health rather than medication is a wonderful thing. Dr. Dalessandro's assessment of my health issues accurately informs me on what I need to do to be healthy and I rarely wait long past my appointment time. He's younger than I am so hopefully I won't ever have to find another primary Dr.! The hours for the practice allow me to go when needed--have seen other helpful people in emergencies but he's the best! read more
