A few days before the move, they called me and had me go over every little detail of everything that was being moved, etc. again even though I had already provided all that information. Still quoted around $500. Move ended up costing $1,200. They insisted on cling wrapping every single piece of furniture, even if it was already padded and then charging for those materials. One of the movers was excellent, fast and efficient even though he stopped for a few smoke breaks. Even he said everybody says that it's way more expensive when than what they were quoted. The other one was a trainee who damaged the new place, clearly didn't know what he was doing and worked at a snails pace compared to the more seasoned mover. I had to chase the company for the insurance to cover the cost of the damage to the wall, and they offered me a very small amount compared to the quote that I got from the painter. Would not recommend this company at all.

That information was never documented, and I had to repeat it in every conversation, which caused ongoing confusion and an inaccurate estimate. I was told the movers would arrive sometime in the afternoon. Around 2:30, I texted for an ETA and was told they would call when they were 30 minutes out. Later, I was told their prior job ran long and that due to driver hour limits, they could only do part of the move. Shortly after, I was informed they were not coming at all due to a truck accident and would need to reschedule. No confirmed time was ever provided for the next day. Because I needed everything out by the 31st, I booked another company and attempted to cancel. I first texted my move contact and was told to call, but when I did, it was 5:42 PM and the office was already closed. I waited on hold for over 30 minutes and then sent a cancellation email. Only after I had already tried to cancel by phone and email did I receive a text saying they had everything ready for the morning, despite never giving me a confirmed arrival time. Poor communication, poor documentation, and inconsistent scheduling. I would not recommend.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I scheduled a move with this company and paid a deposit. On the day of…read morethe move, nobody showed up. I called over 100 times and left a voicemail each time and never got a response. I filed a police report and my deposit was refunded but still no call from anyone. Today has been a week since the move and it wasn't until today that we were able to speak to a supervisor (not because they called us but because we called them) to explain the situation. I cannot express enough how much these people ruined our moving experience. Imagine closing on your property the next day, having movers scheduled for 3pm and having to drop everything when they don't show up and drive to a different county to get a Uhaul big enough for all your stuff. Then calling all your friends and family to see if they could help with the packing (I had family drive 4 hours to help us). Then packing the entire house until 3am. But it doesn't stop there because then the next day, we had to unpack everything. All things we did not plan for and were not prepared for. Call Ricky Ricardo or Golden Isles Movers if in Brunswick and AVOID THESE PEOPLE!!!!!
