Beware do not use this company. It's very unprofessional. I called this company to pump out my septic tank I took a day off. They came out to pump the septic tank. They did the first hole they dug. They just threw the grass on top. Me that I had to dig the second hold because the little bit of roots and they're not gonna take time to do it. They made a 65 year old lady with arthritis dig her own hole they came out and took a crowbar and broke the Concrete lid and told me it was cracked. I told them it wasn't cracked up because after I dug the hole I took a picture of it and it wasn't any cracks in the cement. They told me to put a trashcan over it and they'll come back on Friday to fix it which I took off from work. I called them and they said they were too busy. They couldn't make it but they'd be out there Monday to bring a riser and it was going to cost me $250 and that was a bargain she said. I informed her that I was going to write a bad review of the overall experience I ever had with them she said don't threaten me. I called trails end What a big difference in professional courteous company I have ever dealt with you'll be very impressed with them. Super informative company! I did not know anything about my system and the guys who came out were knowledgeable and professional! I saw some reviews that weren't so great and was hesitant to use them but I'm so glad I did! They were able to fit me on the schedule quickly. Coastal Septic went above and beyond to satisfy us. I have used them since building my house in 1996. Yesterday they came out for a routine pump-out. My septic tank was long overdue for maintenance and two days before they arrived there was a minor sewage back up inside the house. After the service techs left my wife ran the washing machine and the bathrooms backed up with sewage. It was after hours and Coastal was closed. I got a plumber to come and snake the lines to no avail. This morning the owner, Kimberly, called to inquire about my complaint. Although this was technically a plumbing issue - (calcium buildup in the clean out,) she sent a crew out immediately. Errol and Will located the clog and remedied the situation in 20 minutes. They were friendly and knowledgeable. Furthermore, I was not charged for the extra service call. Don't believe all the bad ratings left by disgruntled employees. Coastal has never disappointed me, and they will continue to have my patronage. read more

OK, tried to use them and they pumped out my septic tank a few years ago but since then, they have increased their prices so much that in my view, they are no longer competitive. They have gone up more than 33% since the last time I used them. On top of that, the bad reviews I'm reading here and the big price increase has pushed me to try another vendor. read more

Buyers Beware! Coastal replaced our septic system this July, and in the process, dug up and removed part of our sprinkler system, rendering the entire system useless. Their response was "we aren't responsible for damages." Total disregard for our property and offered no recourse to correct the issue. Find a different company, this one just doesn't care. read more

We used Coastal Septic last time we needed our septic pumped. It was an emergency as my septic was backing up in my house, they were good then and came right out so I figured I would call again this time. I just wanted it pumped I felt like it was time i was not Having any issues. So when I called them they said that they would have to charge me an extra $45.00 to dig because they would have to dig an extra 3 inches more than other properties are. unless I wanted to dig myself! I said HELL no I can't dig it myself. I said just forget it I will find someone else. So the other company I called came out and pumped it cheaper than Coastal and did not happen to mention they had to dig 3 more inches than normal. When they were done I asked them about the tank lid being further down than most the guys said no we barely dig 6-8 inches here. I told them another company wanted to charge me extra (without saying Coastal's name because I feel I shouldn't be bashing another company) the guys said oh that must have been Coastal they don't want to dig they would rather the homeowner do it! unbelievable!!! Will never recommend Coastal or use them again. read more

We have owned our home for nearly six years, and this is our first home on septic. We have used Coastal for pump outs & they replaced our tank & drainfield in 2017 (it was nearly 30 years old & a giant maple tree had run its root system all throughout the original drainfield). We obtained multiple quotes for the tank/field replacement & Coastal was the most affordable & friendly. We will always use Coastal for all of our septic system needs!! read more

I'm a repeat customer of Coastal Septic, but feel their level of service has slipped recently. I used them for a recent maintenance pump-out of my septic tanks (every 3 years). The correct way to pump a tank is to pump the contents and then hose down the tank walls and pump the remaining sludge out. Its about 1-3 gallons of water for the quick hose down. Despite paying a premium price for the pump out, the condescending driver informed me they don't do that anymore and that every gallon costs Coastal to dispose. I called the main office and was treated even more rudely by the dispatch person at the office. Honestly, there are many septic companies and they charge about the same price, so customer service is the only thing that sets one apart from another. Next time I will try another company who wants to do the work the correct way and isn't going to nickel and dime me over 1-3 gallons of water on a close to $400 simple pump-out. read more

I had a full septic tank and drain field replacement 2 yrs ago. I have had to have the tank drained 5 times since then, the 1st time after 4 months of the new system being put in. The system is designed to drain 400 gallons a day or 12,000 gallons a month( or so Coastal told me). And now, I have to replace my drain field again as it is not draining at all. I have talked with the owner on several occasions about this issue and all she says is that I am using too much water and I "hydro shocked" my system, and have done nothing to resolve this issue except to give me a couple of free pump outs within the 1 yr warranty. I will never use this company again for any of my septic needs and highly suggest you find someone else to use. This company does not deserve to stay in business with the way to do business and how they treat their customers. read more

In January 2015 this company came out to drain our septic tank. In October 2015 the septic started backing up. We called out another highly recommended company who came out and told us that our septic was never sealed, and it was flooded with rainwater! We called costal and told them what we had found and they refused to take any responsibility, and were extremely rude on the phone, acting like we were lieing. We would never recommend this company with the way they treated us and the service they gave us. read more

June 4th coastal septic came to our home to pump out our tank. Tank was pumped and we thought resealed. Today the 12th of june plumbers were here as we still had drainage problems. When they dug up the tank the cement used to seal the tank lid was non existing as it had fell in the tank, leaving a 2 and a half inch gap. I called the office immediately. The lady i dealt with was as rude as could be. She acted like i was nuts. Trust me after years of good service this company has gone down the tubes. They obviously will not stand behind there work. My advice to anyone needing septic service, use anyone but coastal. Awful, awful, awful. Stay away you will be very sorry if you use them for anything. My rating by the way would be negative stars. Called to have septic pumped, they came and pumped, then 3 weeks later started experiencing back-ups. after some time, called back out, they took lid off tank, pumped and discovered broken out flow pipe. Asked me who was last people to work on tank, told them they were, they hurried up and left and now will not return my calls! Its going to cost me over $6,000 to replace my drainfield that they messed up! read more
