My fiance and I purchased our first home last year, and the basement flooded twice. It had no sump or drain system in place. Besides the flooding, we were consistently getting 'seeping' of water through the cinder blocks because we are on the side of a mountain. Nathan came out for a very thorough consult, and did a great job of explaining the possibilities and options for drain systems. He was honest and answered all of our questions. This was the ONLY company out of 4 that explained how we might have a monolithic foundation, and how it needs to be treated differently for safety purposes and to maintain the stability of the home. It turned out when they began to work, we did have a monolithic foundation, so the system had to be placed a little bit differently. The employees did a great job of installing the system, and answering all of our questions afterwards. It was also very appreciated how they were able to install a vapor barrier in our crawl space during the same week (we did not realize initially that they would also be able to provide this service.) Barbara worked with us to establish a payment plan that worked for us, which was extremely helpful and appreciated because we were paying for a few major projects at the same time. We have had the system installed for about 7 months now, and everything has been working great. We have reached out a couple times with questions/concerns, and usually deal with Sal. There were a couple of small and obvious issues that is where my nightmare begins. I thought I was supposed to have four shelves. He only brought three. They are very small when the installer left there was a broken part that holds the door in place. He did not have another one and said I could simply call the service department and they would take care of it. I called the service department several times over the next week. They never returned my call so I spoke with the main number who transferred to someone who said she was not in service but could help me. She said she would need three weeks to get the shelf and set up an appointment for me Two weeks later the lady called to confirm my appointment and said she would have the shelf. I took the day off of work when the technician showed up. He replaced a really small piece but didn't have the shelf. He needed to go back to the warehouse and look for it again. I left multiple messages for service, but no one returns my calls When I was finally able to reach someone, I was told the shelf was never ordered. A very nasty man. They knew nothing about it. Fast-forward a few weeks later the shelf was installed. Six months later a corner grew black bold it was not on the surface. It appeared to come from underneath. I tried to call for weeks. No one returned my calls. Again I called the main number. They sent some sort of inter-office memo someone called and a tech. was scheduled to come out. I took another day off of work towards the end of my appointment window. Someone called to say the would not be making it and rescheduled me. I took another day off of work for my next appointment, he came and said that the silicone had failed and replaced it. It seemed good enough but lo and behold eight months later the in the exact same spot only what he had replaced. I again tried to call the service number for two weeks before asking the main number to send an inter-office memo someone did respond to theinter- memo and called She set me up two days later for an appointment between 2 and 3 PM. No one came. I called at 3:15 transferred to the service number left a message. I called the main number again the gentleman who helped me sent another inter- office that someone was definitely coming. I continue to wait but no one came. I left multiple messages for the service department, but no one ever returned my call again I called the main number. Spoke to the same person. I had spoken to on Friday. He said he remembered me and cannot explain Why no one called or came. I demanded to speak to a supervisor me she would make sure it is taken care of two days someone did actually call me from A new customer service She said she would look into it, but never called me back. I called her again. She seemed confused that no one had returned my call. She then told me that the silicone and many other are only covered for one year despite the lifetime warranty proudly displayed on the website, even though it is the same recurring issue over and over again they want me to pay out-of-pocket while the installation process seemingly went fairly well Except apparently an underlying issue. The service department is a nightmare and the sales department was much like haggling for a new car no 2 people pay the same price.

We contacted a different company who reported different issues that would be 60k to repair. We decided since neither of these crawl space experts were engineers that we needed an expert. We found Structural Support and had them do an inspection. Thoroughly done with attention, when complete we shared the estimates we had for these alleged problems. We only had minor issues and most of the estimated services were not needed at all. We have a local trusted contractor working on the matter and due diligence. Reading the reviews of the big name contractors led us to believe we had major problems. When they all identified a problem, each of the contractors suggested totally different things that were relevant, but not needed at all. We strongly recommend using Structural Support, and are thankful for not believing these so called basement experts.

My house went from absolutely horrible with green mold on the side of it too sparkling clean looking like brand new. My fence went from green to white again. When cleaning my gutters John pointed out that we have rotted facia boards and need them replaced. Instead of fixing those old gutters we decided to upgrade to new gutter guards. John installed those and did a beautiful job. Everything looks great and we'll never have to have our gutters cleaned again.
