Eddie Diaz arrived right on time and answered all my questions. This is the first fireplace we've had that runs off propane and he showed me how to tell how much propane was in the tank and explained each step of the process he went through to clean and test our fireplace. New to the area this year and it was first time I tried using our fireplace and it would light. Propane gauge showed it was full, so I called Coastroad Hearth & Patio for service. Communication to confirm the appointment was good. Their tech, Billy, was on time, super polite and professional. He took care to keep this work area clean. He determined the propane tank gauge was stuck and the tank was actually empty. He referred me to their sister company RG White to address the propane (since I own the tank) and said he can return afterwards to perform the cleaning and initial start. He even offered to defer the invoice until then for convenience. After the tank was filled, Billy returned, did a great job cleaning and starting the older gas fireplace unit. Friendly service and a fair price. Definitely sticking with these guys for annual service and any repairs we may need! read more

We visited the store and discussed a fireplace with the salesman. A few weeks later we called him and left a message. No return calls. Chased him for a sales contract. Took days but finally got it. After several calls with questions that remained unanswered we sent an email discussing our frustration and concern with his company and their lack of response. We finally did get a call and the salesman was not happy with us. Not a great company to do business with. We have moved on after various insults from the gentleman. Don't do business with these people. read more

The White family still owns and operates their company with a quality and service first approach. (They've been in town for like a hundred years... literally) There are a few things you NEVER go cheap on in life... foundations, plumbing, electrical, framing, roofing.... and gas lines!!! Use R.D. White & Sons for your gas and hook ups and Coastroads will handle your grills and fireplaces etc. Be sure to check these guys out before you make any decision on grills or gas... water heaters etc... worst case scenario you will get an education from generations of experience. read more

Megan worked with us to get the rIght set up and the installation was fantastic. The installer ran into a few unexpected issues but he never stopped until he got everything up and running perfectly. I contacted Coastroad by email in November 2011 (I apologize this review is a year later) to inquire about replacing an old Heat-n-Glo gas insert in our townhome. We were interested in a FPX 564. Denise Galiano took care of the installation appointment details and was a joy to work with. 90% of our correspondence was by email as we are absentee owners, but I can say with all honesty that this was one of the easiest and most enjoyable experiences I have ever had. I have received such good service from this company over the last 6 or 7 years in two different houses that I feel guilty for not giving them a shout out before this, and I have now resolved that no other company will ever be allowed to touch my fireplace. House #1: the company that manufactured our gas fireplace was out of business and we couldn't get the necessary part to make our FP safe to use. Coastroad owner rustled up the part we needed (he had to hunt it down) and installed it at no extra charge as part of our initial inspection and maintenance House #2: During installation of new LP gas tank, LP gas technician failed to secure the glass FP panel properly and we were experiencing kind of scary mini explosions when we turned the FP on. We went to our default solution and called Coastroad. Chriss--Coastroad technician--figured out the problem and solved it, of course. BTW Chriss is a real professional and a genuinely nice guy and is not allowed to retire. Ever. And he has the added virtue of being very patient while he listens to homeowner descriptions of and theories about the source of the problem (lots of hand waving, and I'm sure very amusing to him, wild guesses). Use this company for all your fireplace needs--you will be glad you did. read more
