The main project was to replace more than two dozen rotting boards and the steps on our 20-year-old deck, ensure the structural integrity of the deck, and jack up a corner of the deck that had sunk a couple of inches. He also power-washed the deck and the siding of the house that faced the deck. We also needed work done indoors. He repaired a door frame to a bedroom, fixed a broken storm door, replaced marble tile in our foyer, installed a missing sliding closet door, and procured and installed beautiful luxury plank vinyl flooring for a bedroom. He communicated clearly with us throughout every project, made suggestions when he saw something that needed improvement, and always checked with us when a decision needed to be made. In every situation, he did high-quality work in a very timely fashion. He always arrived when he said he would, made sure that the times were convenient for us, and always left the work area clean and organized. Then came Dominic. Dominic came in with a creative mind. His experience and expertise allowed him to problem solve and come up with a fantastic solution that met all of our needs, and more wants that we could've hoped for. Even more, his quote made sense. He wasn't the cheapest, or the most expensive, but he was fair. Due to a medical issue, there was a massive delay on our end getting started, yet Dominic remained flexible. Once we were finally underway, I was floored at how quickly he and his team worked. They showed up every day, on time, and worked precisely and efficiently. We were dreading having people in our home for several weeks, but his team was lovely to have around! They were polite, kind, helpful, and most importantly, skilled. I was working on several side projects (painting, refinishing cabinets, etc) and they always jumped in to help if they saw me struggling to carry something or lift something heavy. During the project, we wanted to change the scope a few times by adding in some flooring and a few other things that shifted the project a bit. Once again, Dominic remained flexible. And despite expanding the scope mid-project, he and his team only needed a few additional days to complete those requests. I've never hired a contractor for this scale of project before and I've heard all of the nightmares about poor quality work, lack of communication, surprise project fees, and delays in completion. We experience none of that with Top Notch Contractors. Dominic and his team delivered everything they promised and more. There were no billing surprises at the end of the project and even though we were satisfied with everything, he and his team were still touching up little things as they were walking out of the door.
