I do not possess the specific tools to pierce the thick nylon fabric, so I knew this was likely a task for a tailor and shoe repair service. They told me that I could bring the collar in for them to determine if they could do the job. I was helped immediately and they recommended that I go to Joann Fabric to purchase rivets for the dog tag. They were able to assist on the spot without an appointment, and they were so careful in the placement of the tag, as not to cause any discomfort to my dog while he's wearing it. This was a fantastic experience and I'll be sure to return in the future for any other tailoring and shoe repair needs!

The first was a running shoe. For this one they split the sole and put the lift inside and then reattached the original sole. I was glad they could do this because having the original running sole on the bottom is sort of the purpose of a running shoe. The work was well done and, to date, has held up during my morning runs (looking at about four months of running). The second shoe was a pair of skate shoes that I will wear around casually. For this shoe they added the lift to the bottom of the shoe because splitting the sole would've destroyed it. Just like the running shoe the work is well done and looks as good as an external lift can. Price wise, Towson Bootery is comparable to the place in Bel Air, the only other lift I've had put on in Maryland. The only knock I have against Towson Bootery is they are cash or check only.

The repair was for my high heel shoes that needed a replacement heel cap as they were old and needed to be refreshed. The repair was super reasonable and affordable. It was 20 bucks. The gentleman that took my shoes for repair didn't seem all too friendly but he definitely made me feel like my shoes would be repaired correctly. I called a number of local shoe repair places and Clarke's was the first one to answer that had weekend hours so I opted to give them a try. Initially, I dropped off the shoe and was told I would get a call with an estimate. I dropped them off on a Saturday and had heard nothing by the following Sunday so I reached out via Facebook messenger and left my number. I was called back by Farrell, the owner, and given a quote, a time estimate and an option to pay via PayPal (they don't do credit cards). Once that was all squared away, Clarke's went to work on my shoe. When it was finished Farrell called me to let me know I could pick it up and explained a little about what he did to the shoe. While Bel Air is a bit of a drive for me, the customer service and quality of the work that Clarke's provided means I will be returning in the future.
