I like the atmosphere and the food is quite good.....BUT..... I just don't understand why servers (including one who is an owner of the establishment) feel it is okay to keep the coin change when the customer is paying with cash. I paid cash for my meal and only received bills back for change. I was shorted $.55. Granted, $.55 is not a lot of money, but it's the principle and the fact that I work hard for my money. This has happened to me a couple of times at other restaurants locally. I just don't understand this entitlement. read more

Yay, a great new NON-CHAIN restaurant in Webster. This place is housed in a beautiful historic building. The restaurant furniture was custom crafted by a local Amish builder! The bar is spectacular! The staff delightful. It is nice to feel like you matter and they want to know your name. Gave me that "Cheers" tv show vibe! Let's get into it. Pou-tots! Poutine with homemade tater tots, homemade gravy and cheese curds. Holy Cannoli, my fave app! But Tomahawk wings are delectable too! Service with a smile and personalized. I've been here 3 times. I really want it to be great, and to succeed. IMO the issue with the menu is that it's fat on fat on fat. You've gotta cut the fat with acidity or sweet or bitter flavors. I got the "Totcho's" and you would think the big chunks of slab bacon would be a good add, but it's just over the top. I got the pork belly tacos and again it really needed some pickled veg or anything to cut through the richness. I got the BBQ bacon burger which was tasty and huge. One other minor bitch, everything is served on tiny plates, like the food falling off small. The appetizer plates had no concave and the sauce ran off onto the table. Why? I was so excited to watch this adorable cobblestone treasure convert into an restaurant. Due to covid, it took me far longer to experience it than I had intended. A business luncheon finally got me out in public. :-) The space is adorable and the server accommodating for our group of 10. We stayed chatting and enjoying desert long after most folks departed, no pressure. So many items sounded delish, so I took a cue from some co-workers and ordered the romaine wedge with a crab cake. The salad was delicious! The balsamic and bleu cheese work together nicely with the romaine heart. The crab cake was served on top, although I ate it separately, it went along with the salad quite nicely. I will definitely return and order it again. read more

I historically don't review things poorly, only one other 1star review on this account and only 1 on my other before getting locked out. Even though we were told a 20 minute wait the were 4 hostesses and recently vacated tables needing cleaning, but no one helped...not great. Then we sat down and gave our drink order and heard our waitress ask for bread to be brought to us, but the bread never came. Jeopardy was on tv, silent obviously, but closed captioning was off lol. Hey let's order! Let's have the prime rib and the crab ravioli! Nope, sorry we forgot to mention that those items plus 4 others they are out of. Another table asked for steak and cake...that was out too! We settled for ordering sandwiches and now have been waiting 30 min for those. I apologized to her for her own restaurants ineptitude and made sure she knew that we weren't frustrated with her at all. We definitely still tipped her because we aren't savages and this mess wasn't her responsibility. Restaurant owner: you lost out on the other tables entire meal and easily another 40-50$ from ours because of poor ordering and time management. With food and speed to service you would turn tables and not need the wait for customers all the while making more money. Four of us went on Saturday. We waited an hour for our food. All four of us had cold food when served. Our brother sent his burger back , he asked for medium well, it was raw inside. Waitress said they are short staffed and apologized. Our brother got his money back. My salmon sandwich had almost all cherry tomatoes with little piece of salmon. When we got our check it took a while again for someone to collect our money. We finally left money on table and let one of the other waitresses know it was there. The reason I am giving this review is I hope they can improve their service , quality of food and lower their prices . It is a beautiful interior and exterior building and would like to see it be successful. There are a lot of good restaurants in Webster to choose from, hopefully this one improves with honest feedback.. read more

Went last evening at 6, reservations not accepted and sat down around 6:45. Beautiful main room and bar with an additional back room and two more dining areas downstairs. The menu was really inviting and difficult to chose with so many great options. Every order that went by us looked awesome and big. Prices were very reasonable. So much to chose of the firsts and handhelds that we really didn't consider the mains. My wife had the Garden Bowl salad $12 with a generous portion of salmon added $7. She usually orders similarly at other restaurants and said this was superior. Salmon cooked to perfection; crisp outside, juicy and tender inside. I wasn't super hungry and when I saw the size of some of the sandwiches I was considering; the brisket and also the Cuban, I went a different route. Ordered pork belly tacos and a bowl of French Onion soup off the firsts list. I was expecting 2 tacos and served 3 and they were great. A little bite from chili sauce and kimchi but not too overpowering. Pork belly was very flavorful. Soup was a big bowl with great flavor but missing some actual onions. Our server Emily asked how everything was and I told her soup was flavorful but missing onions. I had no intention of returning it but she insisted and brought back a nice replacement. Place has been open for 4 weeks and they appeared to be a well oiled operation. Great when you have an awesome server; thanks Emily. Also, drinks were good, I had a couple Mr. Smith's special manhattans, excellent $11. Definitely go back soon. One note to owners which I'm sure is on the way. Your beautiful patio could use some high tops and stools for enjoying cocktails before dinner. Quite the elaborate handicap ramp which seems to take a lot of room but it's probably a code thing. Cobblestone On Main brings the village to life. It's fun and vibrant. If atmosphere matters to you, stay in the main front room. This building used to be a church and it's got the beautiful tall ceilings. In good weather, there is seating outside to get the sunshine. The history of Cobblestone buildings is fascinating and most all cobblestone buildings are in this area. It's part of local history! I usually get the romaine salad. It's fresh and the blue cheese is incredible. There is a wonderful drizzle over it. The food is good quality and you don't leave hungry. I've always been happy with the friendly service. Horrible experience. The bartender had no class and belongs in a college bar doing shots with students. He listened to our conversation and commented many times which was a personal conversation. When we requested the check the bartender refused to cash us out, (there were only a few customers). He was in a conversation with another employee and ignored our repeated polite requests for the bill. Just gave a dirty look and mumbled "yeah". The owner was behind/at the end of the bar talking with people and was oblivious to his bartender drinking on the job and being rude and inattentive to his customers. Bad vibes in this place. The bar decor is nice but the plaid 80's kitchen wallpaper in the dining room has to go. Never going back. read more

Place is beautiful but food is just not. I've had chowder and it tasted like flour and water. My friend and potato and leek soup and she said it tasted like flour and water, no leek flavor at all. I've eaten the pesto pasta with barata cheese 3 times. The last time the cheese was cold. Previously I've ordered mixed drinks and they were so so. The quality of the food is not consistent. -just had one of the worst experiences in a bar ever. Bartenders were put off by serving drinks. When we complained as we paid our tab, hell broke lose. We are a group of 60+ year old people, no bad intentions at all. One woman behind the bar told us to "get out of my fuckin bar". We did nothing wrong but complain about the poor service. Any food we've had here has been great! The specials can be interesting and very good...there always seems to be something special done or added ! The French onion soup is definitely one of the best in town, we usually can't resist! They definitely respect what most people want to eat but think outside of the box too...the salmon BLT one example, and it's so good. We had the tater tots for the first time recently and mind blown!! We were thinking your standard from the freezer tot and got a pile of deluxe house made crispy craggy deliciously seasoned monster tots...no ordinary tot will ever be the same again! We've sampled everything from sandwiches and burgers to dinners from pasta and risotto to seafood, chops and steak and haven't been disappointed on any level. Staff is friendly and great. My one and only complaint is parking...the lot isn't big enough and it's on a hill ,and Street parking on a busy day can be challenging...but obviously it hasn't stopped us coming there!? And it's in a renovated old building that has a homey charm all it's own...even the big booths are comfy and inviting . The nice big bar and high top area in front is nice too and there's still the huge TVs to watch a game...or separate dining areas up and downstairs for a different vibe! read more

Bread required a steak knife to cut. Caesar salad came UNtossed w/a small drizzle of bottled dressing. As we tried to enjoy our salads, the staff thought it was appropriate to drag every chair very noisily around for a large party coming in. Not pleasant. The chicken "San-mich" according to my teen was just "better-than-fast-food" . My filet, despite being misshapen, was mostly cooked nicely rare, but I still couldn't eat it, because it was FAR too salty and peppery for this salt and pepper lover; It burned my tongue! The crab cake was the consistency of mashed potatoes. The steamed broccoli was a nice al dente. Prime rib was decidedly small, but good ($30). We were without drink refills till late in the meal, and there were times I was choking that I could have used water! It took 10 minutes to pay the check. There was a nice menu of drinks available, but as this was my 2nd time eating here with regrets, I won't eat here again. read more

The food here is absolutely delicious. I ordered a salmon BLT on a brioche roll everything was cooked perfectly and brought out very quickly at a perfect temperature. We had a choice of side salad or fries I got the side salad it was fresh crispy and delicious. We also got a brisket sandwich that was very large and delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant it is very clean. The acoustics within the restaurant are very good it's easy to hear your party speak. read more

Tried this place for the first time tonight and since it is pretty new figured I'd leave a review on my experience for others who may be looking to try a new place! Came on a Monday night as a party of 4 and there was a decent crowd in there. I really like the design of the place inside and it seemed very clean which was a plus. Ordered drinks to start, one of their specialty drinks and another that was just vodka and Sprite. The specialty drink didn't really taste like anything and the vodka/Sprite tasted like pure vodka. Not sure if it was a heavy pour or the Sprite was flat but both left some to be desired. Up front the server told us they were out of a good amount of items, most of them appetizer related. We ordered an appetizer of the nachos and after awhile our server came over and apologized for a mix-up in the kitchen and said they'd be right out. I think it took about 45 minutes or so for us to get our appetizer from when we ordered. The appetizer itself was pretty good though. Also ordered entrees - a burger, two of the speciality sandwiches, and a Caesar salad with steak added on. Once again it took quite awhile for the entrees to come out, probably a good 45 minutes or so after we ordered. The quality of the food was alright, but they forgot the steak for the salad. We were seated around 6:45 and once we received and paid our bill it was close to 9:00. Seeing as this place is new it seems like they're working out some kinks and want to give them the benefit of the doubt there as things happen. As a whole if you go here I'd expect the service to be very slow/unreliable, albeit everyone was friendly and perfectly pleasant. The food is solid, but not worth the wait and it is probably a tad overpriced. Would like to come back again in a few months and see if things run a bit smoother, but if not there's a handful of other similar places in Webster alone I'd rather go for the price and time. read more

I was really excited to try this place out, it has great aesthetic from the outside and the menu looked pretty good. We should've caught the red flags when a group of women walked out and told us that we should "absolutely avoid the scallops at all costs!" When we got seated the waitress had no idea about any of the drinks on the menu. She just kept saying I'm not sure I don't drink. This is fine, but maybe she could have offered to go ask the bartender our questions instead of saying "I'm sure they are all good." We ordered several rounds of appetizers and waited a while for our waitress to come back, by the time she did we had all of our plates and silverware stacked together for easy cleanup. The waitress came back to the table with fresh cutlery and scolded us saying "next time you come here it would be a lot easier for us if you just keep the silverware we initially gave you." Not a big deal but certainly doesn't make you feel welcomed, especially when all she was going to do was put it in the dishwasher. When our entrée orders eventually came out 2 of the 4 were wrong. One didn't have the correct cooking temperature we asked for, the other one was just a completely different dish than what was ordered. Food overall was fine, just general bar food I would say. Overall, there are better spots in Webster with much less awkward service.o read more

On our second visit to this establishment, our first for lunch we were extremely disappointed. My wife and I both ordered the "Friday fish sandwich special". Service was quick as restaurants was not busy, maybe 6-8 people. We sat at the bar and service was good! Once we received fish sandwich we realized it wasn't what we expected. Rather thin dry fish fillet for me, bone filled thin dry fish fillet for my wife. Without the bones I'd recommend against the fish sandwich. We did complain about the bones, our server apologized. We then asked for our bill which was also a surprise. The fish sandwich special was 18.00 each! We continue to try to find consistently good fare in the town of Webster and try to spend our lunch and dinner dollars locally. We may try this establishment again but not again for lunch or for their fish special! read more

Listen, I haven't written a Yelp review in like 6 years. This just just about knocked me socks off so bad that I went through the pain of resetting my Yelp password just to write this. This place is amazing. Like honestly probably the best restaurant in Webster village right now. This isn't that cheap-fake fancy-decor places where the place looks great but the food is meh. No, someone who actually cares has got to be behind this. Even the napkins are one notch below "cloth napkin", the kind your aunt would be tempted to wash and reuse. I had the brisket sandwich and it was phenomenal. It looks like they're partnering with K2 for some stuff- another fantastic place around here. Anyway, if you're not feeling one of the 5 pizza joints that surround this place, definitely go here. I hope this one lasts forever. read more

On 8/12/2023 my family and I decided to give this place a try. After walking in we were told our servers we're not working the dining area, so we had to go to the bar ourselves and order.... So we did. At first they did not have what I originally asked for which is a very common spirit. So after the server wandered around for a bit, I was informed they didn't carry it. No big deal. So instead of suggesting a substitute, the server pointed at the wall and said "Thats what we have, let me know if you see something you like". I would expect that type of answer from a used car salesman. I found a substitute and ordered. Honestly, no big deal. Drink was good! My sister goes to order another round for the table. Apparently the "girl" didn't understand what she was asking for. I walked up to the bar and informed her of what I wanted. Abruptly walks away, and from the other end of the bar has her hands up asking me how many I wanted. I said "two please". Walks back with, no eye contact, places them on the bar, and walks away. The patrons next to me sitting at the bar were not impressed by her immature behavior. Not sure what the issue was. The drink ordered was as common as running water... Roughly around 9:45PM the staff started putting the chairs up on the tables as if they were closing for the night. With that being said, we decided on one last round to close the night. So we approach the bar, a few minutes later a different server takes the order... Again no eye contact. After she makes 2 drinks (the same mind you) and I kindly remind her about the waters as well. She replies "I can only do one thing at time ya know". At that point I just walked away. Needless to say, I will not go back and further more never recommend this establishment. The staff is immature and inexperienced to say the least. Take some time and make eye contact with your customers. Respect goes a long way. Good luck! read more

My husband and I tried this new spot in Webster and we will certainly be going back. We went at 4pm on a Wednesday and were seated immediately. When we left about an hour later all tables were full. The space - nicely restored with three separate dining areas. Everything was nice and clean. The food - I had the smoked brisket sandwich and fries. The brisket was nice and tender and not fatty at all. The bbq sauce was very good -a bit on the sweeter side so if you don't like sweet sauce you probably wouldn't like it. The fries were good -nice natural potato taste. My husband's steak grinder was the winner. Nicely seasoned and tender chunks of beef topped with roasted peppers and a very mild horseradish sauce. He opted for the house made tater tots. While they were extremely tasty with lots of onion flavor, they were not crispy at all. Once we got past the lack of crispiness we liked them. The staff-extremely friendly and accommodating -a definite 5 stars for hospitality. We're looking forward to going back and trying some of their other offerings. read more

Good food and atmosphere- until after paying the manager approaches our table and rudely tells us that they have an hour and a half wait up front and they are trying to "turn tables". You're busy and need the table? Fine- please learn to inform your customers in a much less rude and sudden way. We could not see the front of the restaurant from our table and had no idea how busy it was, and our server never mentioned needing the table in any way. My friends and I were embarrassed and as paying customers were forced to do a walk of shame out of the restaurant for something that was not our fault and should have been handled way better.
