She came back to the customer and said I talked to vice president, and she said your bill is all set for today. Not only do they care for Animals, but they make sure members of the community are cared for as well. The Manager Christine was so kind to make that happen it touched me how she truly cared deeply about the customer's that come in. I am adding this due to how someone has been saying unkind things about the shop and the manager, and I believe it's a personal attack because they know someone who just quit. The Shop is small but don't let that fool you they get many cute and wonderful things. I come in weekly and just love the place glad I found this little spot of heaven.

I was sort of properly dressed, but I forgot my gloves and I forgot my boots. I was gonna pop in to see if I can buy some gloves, but I noticed they also had boots. I know winter boots can be expensive. That's a given, but the gloves.. HOLY SMOKES!!! some of the gloves were $70 just for swishy sounding mittens and gloves. I ended up getting a pair. I think they were like 40 bucks but they were on sale. It was hard to find my size because UNFORTUNATELY my dad gave me his big old prizefighting mitts, but I found a pair of mittens just like I wanted. But I understand the high price it's all about demand. This place is conveniently located for people like myself who can't stay organized and remember the things that they need to take on trips. I didn't end up skiing, but I did go tubing. The next trip up I'll make sure I'm prepared but I'm glad that place was there when I needed some gloves.

My wife needed a capo and picks for her new mandolin, so we did an on-line search for nearby music stores. Rockbridge Music of Lexington Virginia popped up in the search. So we made the 40 minute drive to the historic part of Lexington. As we approached the area we drove through VMI campus area where we saw the cadets and buildings of this historic institution. Inside the music store we were greeted warmly by the owner. She was very helpful and hospitable during our visit. She showed us a selection of capos that would work well for the mandolin. We chose one that fit our needs. She also helped us shop for the heavy picks the wife was interested in. We chose several different ones to purchase. The prices were very reasonable. The owner did a great job assessing our musical interests and steered us towards a series of music books we had never known before. We purchased a Bluegrass and a Christmas volume from this series. After we made our purchases we continued to chat with the lady and discovered she was a musician that plays in bands in the area. We learned a little about the local musical scene. Great service, great selection and good prices! If we are in the area again we'll come back.
