The insurance company refused to pay the difference without documentation. They were never able to explain/document the increase to the insurance company's satisfaction. Their measurements, for instance was one of the things the insurance company cited because they didn't "back out the space for the chimney" and amount of materials never lined up with the insurance company's estimate. It was a huge mess going back and forth with them and the insurance company. As a result, I ended up paying the difference. I have full replacement coverage and I wasn't supposed to pay anything out of pocket, but it didn't work out that way. The insurance company was never able to get satisfactory documentation and they finally closed the claim.

He was able to reuse most of the wood, his estimate was very close to final, with the difference being changes suggested and ok'd by me in advance. Unlike other folks, he keeps you informed. If he has to leave, he secures the area and lets you know where he went and when he expects to be back, then comes back. I have to keep giving him tips, because he keeps giving me deals. 10 of 10, my new go to for home repair issues. Part way through repairing my fence, I sent him to talk to my neighbor at her request, who also lost several sections of fence. I don't know yet what his limits are, but even if it's something he can't do, I'd value his advice, so he'll be my first call.

Deceptive and Unethical Service - Beware!…read more I had a terrible experience with Hall Services. I called them to fix my two garage door openers, but the technician, James, claimed that my sensors were broken and couldn't be fixed. He insisted I needed two brand-new openers at $500 each, plus $285 in labor per unit--a total of over $1,500! He also admitted he didn't know what the clicking noise meant and said the opener wasn't showing any error codes. Despite that, he proceeded to unscrew my sensors and told me the entire system had to be replaced. Something didn't feel right, so I got a second opinion from a competitor--and they fixed everything for $245. This company is dishonest and operates without integrity. They tried to upsell me on unnecessary replacements. I strongly warn others to avoid Hall Services if you value honesty and fair pricing.
