Peaches are pretty good (I prefer getting my peaches from northern Utah at the beginning of September) and the ice cream is nothing special, but the experience of going to a local business and supporting while getting a fun seasonal treat is what makes this place stand out. They only had one table to sit at and one additional bench so they need more seating, but it's an improvement from their previous setup! Do note that even though this is an orchard, peaches are not available to pick your own from the trees. We were disappointed by that the first time we visited years ago.

I purchased a $28 peach basket that was advertised as a fill-your-own basket. After I filled the basket with peaches, an employee told me it was "too high" and removed several peaches without asking me first. What bothered me most was not the policy itself, but the way it was handled. If there is a limit to how full the basket can be, I would have appreciated that being explained before I filled it, or at least being asked whether I still wanted to purchase the basket after peaches were removed. I ended up paying the full $28 for significantly fewer peaches than I had originally selected. I understand that costs have gone up and that businesses need to set limits, but clear communication and good customer service go a long way. I've enjoyed shopping here for years, which is why this experience was especially disappointing. I hope this feedback helps improve communication with customers in the future.

The staff was friendly, welcoming, and happy to answer questions, creating a relaxed, hometown atmosphere that made us feel right at home. The fresh peach we bought was absolutely incredible--perfectly ripe, incredibly juicy, and packed with flavor. You can really taste the difference that comes from fresh, locally grown fruit. We also treated ourselves to a cherry sundae, which was refreshing, delicious, and the perfect way to cool off on a warm day. The real surprise, though, was the apple cider donuts. We bought half a dozen thinking they'd last a while, but they disappeared much faster than expected! They were soft, fresh, perfectly coated in cinnamon sugar, and easily some of the best donuts we've had. If you're driving through Alpine or exploring Utah County, Burgess Orchards is definitely worth a stop. Whether you're looking for fresh fruit, homemade treats, or just a fun local experience, this place delivers. They let you select the fruit you want and you can put back any that you think are not up to your standards! They DON'T make you buy the over ripe fruit like the other big stands that always include it at the bottom of the box and also make you leave the area when they are transferring the fruit into a box for you because they want you to take whatever they give you! (The P place) . If you don't want to buy a whole basket they let you pick out the good fruit from any of the baskets you want to, so you don't have to buy the rejected fruit from the bin that is for smaller purchases like the place that starts with Pet... does! AND their prices are always less than that place! I just like the fruit from Grammy's better and the experience is alway so pleasant!

Their prices can range from cheap compared to the other stands to twice as much. As with any similar business it's best to check prices of a few places. Grammy ' s Facebook will also sometimes have specials not advertised elsewhere. Also watch for their discount card that they offer.
