Soooo yummy! Soooo adorable! I can't believe I didn't write a review when we visited here the first time 3 years ago for a hockey tournament. Here we are, back in Cochrane, again for hockey and found this gem again!!!! Be prepared to wait as they are always busy and there's no drive through here BUT your coffee and food will be made to perfection! This visit there was a hiccup with their blender and it took 20 minutes to get the pineapple matcha smoothie but life happens. My Italian avocado toast with a poached egg was HEAVENLY. I looooove that they use sourdough! Hubs had their house roasted coffee and chose cinnamon hazlenut. Hubs only complaint (as a diabetic) is their only sugar substitute was sugar twin which is YUCK - truly. It would be better if they had Splenda. I noticed a sign that on Sundays they serve waffles! I bet it is lined up out the door to get a spot. The upstairs loft is adorable and great spit out of the hustle and bustle of the wrap around line downstairs. Ambiance, cute and cozy, 5 Stars. Service, not super attentive or caring. Table was sticky and I had to ask staff to clean it. Food, 1.5 Stars - the Chicken Chipotle wrap was not pleasant- there was bone cartilage and skimpy dark meat that looked like the icky part of the chicken, flavour zero, veggies, good, but even though it was grilled, it didn't taste fresh or cooked. Had a very upset stomach from it. Muffins- bought day old- I know I know, take my chances... pumpkin was terrible and crumbly, found a fibre or hair... gross, threw it away. The bran muffin was still quite food and moist. Washroom, bits of paper all over the floor- why people, just why??? Like clean the f up after yourself!!! You do see the stark white paper contrast with the floor when it falls... stop being disgusting and make the world a slightly better place when you leave!! Coffee Traders is a Cochrane classic, but everyone is welcome. In the summer time, it has a cool and airy ambiance, with a large patio and lots of indoor seating. I prefer to bike, as there is prime bike parking and finding a parking space can sometimes be a tad tricky. In the winter, Coffee Traders serves as a warm reprieve from the harsh cochrane winters. You are welcomed in by the smell of freshly roasted coffee beans, a plethora of baked goods and my favorite - a wood burning fire place, making the space feel especially cozy. In the summer after a bike ride I treat myself to a black iced americano with extra ice and if I'm feeling crazy I will even get piece of carrot cake - it is perfect. In the winter or on cooler days I often opt for a peppermint tea - black. It is always refreshing and offers a nice zing. There is a stunning patio with planters, indoors is a loft style layout with beautiful mural artwork on the top floor. A great place to socialize with a friend, meet a stranger while waiting in line, and even a great spot to put your head down and get some work done. Sadly I used to love this place and now it needs some major attention! I have had bad baking the last at least 3 times I have been here and this last time I got a muffin, which wasn't cheap and it was full of in mixed baking soda chunks. Couldn't eat it for sure!! and the lattes are honestly pretty bad... they never taste the same from one time to the next... just over all this place is needing some attention! read more

Lovely ambiance, great coffee and muffins and sandwiches, because it's so good the line ups can be very long and some staff were very slow but I think they realized this and retrained or brought other staff in. Still long lineups but the time in line up has reduced some. read more

Usually I would complain about a place constructed to look like a cabin when it is not an actual cabin, but this one is just cute enough that I will allow it. But do you want to know why Cochrane Coffee Traders reeeeally gets a solid four stars? Because not only do they serve loose leaf tea (fist pumps for a coffee shop who doesn't just charge $3 for a cup of Mighty Leaf)...they also serve...wait for it.... A VEGAN MUFFIN. It seems logical that if one was in need of a cup of coffee, one would go to a place with coffee in the name. It's exactly this that landed me at Coffee Traders in Cochrane. It's a cabin in town that fits with most of the rest of the decor and architecture of a cute little mountain town. It's got a full list of coffees available, some muffins and sweets to go with it, seating on the main floor or on a half level up above and free wifi if you need it. Prices are reasonable, muffins are tasty... All in all it's an alright spot to pop in for awhile! read more

Great cozy little coffee house. Outdoor patio, and seating upstairs. Clean, and reasonably priced. Little bit of a line up but passed fast! Lots of great muffins to choose from- pumpkin, blueberry, skor, coffee etc. I had a chai which was great too. Flavourful and not too sweet. For sure going back! read more

Always understaffed, very frustrating. Good selection of baking and sandwiches though.

Definitely an ADORABLE little cafe, really good for rainy days where youd like to relax and have a cup of tea. (its made of wood too! like a little cabin) Although It's confusing and the service is a little slow and kind of off.. they have decent coffees and teas although I could not even drink my green tea, for some reason it was gross and I don't; know how they messed that up. A little expensive but still. They give you tea pots and have many baked goods. It also has an upstairs with very open windows. Cute! read more

I consider Cochrane Coffee Traders a gem in this small town. We visit the area annually and stay in Cochrane and every morning I walk to this café for coffee and a muffin. In the winter, sitting in this cabin atmosphere next to a live fire is a real treat. read more
