We visited 2 of the Eclipse Coffee Roaster locations. We prefer the one near Railway Avenue as there is much more seating, open concept and does not get as crowded as downtown Canmore's location. It was a fun way to start early mornings before a nice hike. Great coffee and a selection of buttery pastries. Plenty of seating. Beautiful interior. Even a play place on the second level! That's right, a little contained area with toys your little ones can use while you sit down to enjoy your warm drink uninterrupted. Fireplace seating was available as well. Although there are many places to get coffee around Canmore, we choose this place initially because it has easy parking. Coffee shop is upscale and very clean and well maintained. Staff is friendly, though service could use a little more work. I ordered a croissant and banana bread along with our coffees. Was only given the banana bread instead of both the banana bread and croissant. Staff seemed a little preoccupied with something else. Not sure if she was a new hire. I ordered a chai rose latte. Didn't really taste the chai or rose. Coffee itself was good. If I do go back someday, I would just order drip coffee. Croissant was delicious! It had a pineapple coconut filling that was so yummy. I didn't get a chance to try the banana bread, but it looked good. Will be recommending this place to friends who plan to visit Canmore. read more

Came here for coffee and pastries on our way to Yoho National Park. We were greeted upon entering by a staff member. We ordered a Lavender Latte with Almond Milk, a Pandan Coconut Croissant, and a Cardamom Bun. The Lavender Latte was really smooth with a nice lavender flavor that can be tasted but isn't overwhelming or too floral. The coffee quality seemed good. The Cardamom Bun was solid, but not our favorite pastry. We were glad we tried it because it's unique. The Pandan Coconut Croissant was amazing. Great balance of pandan and coconut. The pastry was crispy, flaky, and a good amount of filling. Overall, giving Eclipse Coffee Roasters a 5/5. Ambiance, staff, coffee, and pastries are all great. This location might be the main one since it has roasting equipment on-site. There is also a wall of merchandise on the left wall near the cashier as well as coffee and coffee brewing equipment in front of thr cashier. Highly recommend to anyone staying in or passing through Canmore. Definitely will stop by here again too. read more

Definitely recommend on stopping by to try their coffee! This is probably the best coffee I had throughout my trip. This place is highly rated and recommended by others. I tried their Americano, and I absolutely love it! It has a low acidic taste, and it has a rich coffee aroma/taste but is not intensely bold/strong. I think the coffee is perfectly roasted to taste the aftertaste. The staffs are very friendly and welcoming. The shop is spacious, and has lots of seating. Hands down - the best cup of coffee I had while in Canmore! The shop is plenty big with room for sitting on top. They have a dedicated play area for kids, which is amazing! My favorite coffee place to stop in Canmore. Coming from Calgary, anytime I'm on trans Canada highway passing through, this is always a must stop for me. I love their London Fog if it's in the afternoon and in the early mornings, any of their espresso drinks are great. My favorite espresso drinks to order is the cortado or flat white. They roast their own beans just to my liking. I love that they've grown into this beautiful new space with a second floor as well as a second location. the pastries at eclipse were incredible! they were all so inventive and unexpectedly delicious. my favorites were the butter chicken pie, ube pandan mochi croissant, and korean bbq hand pie. i would highly recommend trying all three of them! however, all of the pastries looked delectable and i would definitely return to try more pastries. the matcha latte was good but not as particularly memorable as the pastries. the interior is very cute, clean, and bright. the service is pretty standard - expect to wait a bit to place your order and also to get your drinks or heated pastries. i would highly recommend stopping by eclipse! read more

I'm so glad we stumbled upon this place! It was cold and rainy so my friends and I were seeking for something warm to drink. We stopped by and I saw they had the strawberry matcha latte as a seasonal drink so I had to try it! They barista was kind and made our drinks quickly. My drink was the perfect mix and strawberry and matcha. No flavor over powered the other and it was absolutely delicious! There was plenty of seating available and an upstairs section as well. Wow. Delicious latte. This place was recommended to us by our Airbnb host. Parking is free for 2 hours which is sufficient. The place is actually very big from inside. Lots of seating. Their coffee beans are really flavorful so is their Latte. They even ship the coffee beans anywhere in Canada and the coffee bean used for latte is Vintage Blend. 40 minutes to get the most basic latte was just ridiculous especially considering how many workers there were at 9am, 2 of which were either standing around very confused or chatting with friends. Who cares about the industrial, minimalist "vibes". Oh, they roast their own coffee and brew it too! As do most coffee shops these days! Plus, their menu was weird with mentioning of "espresso with milk". I actually ordered a flat white but the cashier deemed this a latte when she repeated my order back to me. When I eventually received my "latte", it was pleasant enough but lukewarm. They also do not take your name when you order and simply call out the drink and in a very hurried, inaudible way. I am pretty sure my identical "latte" order was taken by someone who ordered behind me hence the longer wait.
