The high ceilings and all areas were tastefully decorated. The wedding room was very bright. The seating was comfortable. After the wedding, there was a cocktail reception outside while they prepared the rest of the event. I would say this took longer than expected but it could be that the wedding party was off taking photos. On this occasion it wasn't too hot but if more than 85 degrees than maybe an issue. Once allowed to enter dinner reception it was setup beautifully. The bar area accommodated a Photo Booth area as well. For food we had baked chicken, yams, Mac & Cheese, greens and cornbread. Dinner was delicious and I had no complaints on the food. Also like that they had hot sauce and salt/pepper easily accessible. The servers did a good job and bringing around sweet tea and lemonade. Overall a fantastic experience. Lots of detail was put into making this a special experience for the Oliver family. I would give it 4.5 stars. Only downside was small parking lot, only 2 bathrooms and timing of event felt slow. Not sure if DJ was apart of wedding venue but the music was horribly loud during the wedding and at times it was hard to hear.

It's a large beautiful (I would like to say historic) venue that has a large dance floor, plenty of seating, huge bar, stage where Live Music or DJ can perform, private dressing room with a small bathroom, and a full-size commercial kitchen to rent if you want to provide food or bring in a caterer. There is a parking lot in the back, as well as across the street, and street parking. The owner has security patrolling the parking lots the entire night. Our guests have never had a problem. They only provide rental space, bartenders, and a few servers/waitresses, you have to provide/hire your own vendors (caterers, DJ, decorations, etc.). In being an Event Planner for the past 30+ years from Corporate to Community events, as with all Service-based businesses, you're going to always have a rotating door when it comes to customer service. It's part of the game. It's hard to find good help these days. My personal experience, as well as my experience in attending other events hosted there, has always been great. I know other event promoters who have also been hosting their events here for awhile, so if it was that bad, we wouldn't still be here. The owner does an excellent job in doing his best to stay on top of it. So when you read other poor reviews, create your own opinion based on your own experience like we did. Otherwise you just might miss out on a GREAT experience!

When I mentioned to the owner that I hope my guest didn't get sick because of the raw chicken all he said was that he hoped that they didn't get sick either. I wouldn't recommend this anyone. If I could rate a company negative stars, this would be the company I'd do it for. I normally never…read morecomplain or go to the extent of writing reviews but this company is extremely unprofessional. I had ordered 36" inch balloon characters from this company for my daughter's 1st birthday party. I bought 2 pack of 4 characters, which in total is 8 character balloons. The day of the event 5 out of the 8 balloons had holes in them. I attempted to see if the holes were fixable and they were not. I contacted the company the day of in hopes of some type of compensation whether it'd be sending a new pack of character balloons or half of a refund. I spent a total of $140 just to be able to use 3 balloons. The company was so rude and stated because I was the first ever customer to complain and that they didn't know how i handled the balloons they couldn't help me. They said they would email their supplier to see what they could do for me but nothing was guaranteed because they were just resellers. I had taken video evidence of the balloons not being able to hold the air. I called both banks of mine to dispute the transactions since the company wanted to be nasty and I do not regret it. This is the nice warming emails i received from Lucy's nasty self. Accusing one of stealing after being shown proof is diabolical. $140 for 3 balloons? God will handle the unjust and the evil.
