When we were in college we would gather around the tv set and cackle for the hour-long special. Kenny Howell and Pierre were two of the first comedians to appear on the show and we couldn't wait to see them live! EBT is a nice-sized venue in the south suburbs with chic decor. The only issue I had was with the service. I arrived about 15 minutes after my party and the already had drinks. They informed me to go to the bar to order because no servers were coming around (although I saw several wandering about aimlessly). I ordered a drink and since I was informed about the slow waiters, o ordered food as well...the Parmesan garlic chicken wings with fries. The bartender was very friendly and fast and I wanted to leave her a nice tip on my card, but there was no tip option. So strange cuz you can literally buy a Streetwise newspaper from a Streetwise vendor and there's a tip option on their not-pad. had to scrounge up some singles from my bottomless purse to tip her. ANYHOO, I go back to my table and told my crew I ordered food and if they wanted some, they needed to go to the bar. As they hemmed and hawed, a disgruntled young man came by and disgruntledry (yes, I make up words ) took their food order. Moments later a server came with my order and asked me to pay but I told her I paid at the bar. She looked at me skeptically but I insisted I did and she should go ask the bartender. About 15 minutes later the disgruntled dude came back with everyone else's order his disgruntledness was so obvious, we were slightly uncomfortable. But that's when I noticed you could leave tips on the waiters iPads. The lady came back around to check on us so I bought another drink and gave her a tip. I mean, ain't nobody out here waiting tables for no tip. We all shared wings, tacos, salmon and jerk rolls and the other good part is that the food was phenomenal! Perfectly seasoned, sauced and no leftovers. The other great thing about EBT is the owner Tiffany. What a gracious host! She was friendly, hospitable and made everyone feel comfortable. You can tell she cares about her establishment. I hope she's able to find a good FOH manger/supervisor to help that aspect of the biz run smoother. All in all, it was a great experience and I'll definitely be back for another show. If you're a city-dweller, it's worth the trip.

Unfortunately the parking lot is very small, but I arrived early so I didn't have a problem. I don't know why some event spaces do this, but to get into the bathroom stall, you have to turn sideways because the toilet is very close to the stall door. I love the loft looking ceilings. I'm considering hosting an event here. I'm not sure if the owner herself offers decorating services, but the place was impeccably decorated.

I asked for photo proof--none was provided. My family and I cleaned thoroughly, and no one noticed any such issue. I even offered to meet at the venue to inspect the space, and that was ignored. The owner also mentioned police presence outside due to teens waiting on rides--calling it "loitering"--but even stated a fine was avoided. That shouldn't be tied to my deposit at all. When the police weren't actually called to the venue itself. The reason for withholding it, according to their own message, was just the alleged footprints, which they refused to prove. I reviewed the contract and followed all cleaning policies. This feels like a poor excuse to keep my deposit without cause. Renters, protect yourselves--take photos before and after, get everything in writing, and be cautious with this space.

The high ceilings and all areas were tastefully decorated. The wedding room was very bright. The seating was comfortable. After the wedding, there was a cocktail reception outside while they prepared the rest of the event. I would say this took longer than expected but it could be that the wedding party was off taking photos. On this occasion it wasn't too hot but if more than 85 degrees than maybe an issue. Once allowed to enter dinner reception it was setup beautifully. The bar area accommodated a Photo Booth area as well. For food we had baked chicken, yams, Mac & Cheese, greens and cornbread. Dinner was delicious and I had no complaints on the food. Also like that they had hot sauce and salt/pepper easily accessible. The servers did a good job and bringing around sweet tea and lemonade. We were very impressed with Daniela who helped highlight safety and logistical concerns while also coming up with ideas to bring our wishes to life. The lighting at every single event ended up impeccable. Daniela specifically worked with our family on some of their performances for our Sangeet as well, going on multiple calls to help refine crazy ideas into the performance of a lifetime. We also had this insane idea of dancing under falling cherry blossoms, something that is very much not possible in Chicago. She managed to bring that into reality, and we are so glad we trusted her vision. We also wanted to highlight how above and beyond the Frost team went in the production. There were a lot of events with a ton of line items, day after day, and the team worked very hard to ensure everything was done on time. On our wedding ceremony day, they were very flexible as we tried to beat unpredictable weather, going so far as to set things up in pouring rain. That extra effort allowed us to have the wedding of our dreams, and we can't appreciate it enough. Daniela told us that she teared up when she saw our reaction to the wedding mandap being set up outside, and that tells us how much she cared. We can't recommend Frost and her enough.

Daniela was also instrumental in helping with our suspended floral structure which was the highlight of the room!
