Came on a Saturday morning around 9am ish. It was summertime so students weren't around and it wasn't busy. I found parallel parking right in front. I ordered online for pickup so my food was already ready when I arrived. Got Sausage Party (sausage, egg, cheese, garlic herb cream cheese) on an everything bagel and a hash brown on the side. Heard about a new bagel place, with a Miami (Ohio) connection, so Sweetie said she was going. Or rather, I was going, as soon as they opened. Sunday morning, semi-caffeinated, I head down. Plenty of street parking early on a weekend, but at busy times during the school year might be tight. And free parking on Sundays; I didn't see a sign that said it, but I know that's true elsewhere in town, and the parking app wouldn't let me pay. Interesting menu, and I just went with my standard lox. Sweetie got the steak, egg, and cheese. Lots of other things that look good. We also got a maple one with cinnamon sprinkled on plain cream cheese. Sweetie liked hers. I liked mine. We made this a destination to try and it was pretty bad. But I'll start with the good: the place looks nice and the lady at the counter was great. My gf got a turkey sandwich and it was a decent size. UNFORTUNATELY, my sandwich had barely any meat on it even though it was the special and costs more. Also came with nothing. But the worst is that the bagels were soggy and gross especially the bottom half. Idk how they are cooking these but it didn't seem like my bagel had been toasted and however they are handling them they are absorbing a ton of moisture. I almost wanna say it had been microwaved. I don't know how a bagel gets that way otherwise. If you cook and assemble everything but the bagel, then when it's toasted, you can put hot food on a crispy bagel. If they are using a different approach that I don't know, then I guess I just don't know and I don't get it either. Maybe if they sold pumpernickel bagels I'd stop in again for one toasted w cream cheese. As a Jew - and self-proclaimed breakfast sandwich enthusiast - I know a good bagel, and finding one in Columbus has been difficult. With the exception of The Lox, all other bagels are fairly the same - which means to impress me, you've gotta stand out a different way. Cocky's did just that. My girlfriend and I ordered The Big Daddy and The Frenchie respectively - and both had such unique tastes that we had never had in a breakfast sammy before. The hashbrown was such a subtle addition that made a huge difference texture-wise, and both the cream cheese and the maple syrup on our respective sandwiches made each bite a unique infusion of flavors that was really delicious. We went here because I had a $50 gift card thanks to an Instagram raffle - but I can promise we'll be returning many times more. Also - the interior was really cute and modern! Wish this was here when I was in college bc I would have gone far too often. Didn't go in with sky high expectations but came out massively impressed! read more

And so delicious. We parked on the street right outside Cocky's. There was a bit of a line, so it took a little long to get our food.
