While I really wanted to like Good Cafe, our experience was absolutely horrible! We stopped in around 10 AM yesterday (Friday). While there were two people working (and only two other customers in the cafe, our food was served in 10-15 increments. My food came out first (breakfast sandwich) - 10 minutes later, my daughter's bacon and brownie came out - 15 minutes later, my friend's son's waffles came out - and then 15 minutes later, my friend's chicken and waffles came out. It took 50 minutes - for my friend to get her chicken and waffles! Reviews on the food are below: Breakfast sandwich - The servers tried to cover up burning the sandwich by putting the burned piece of toast on the bottom. I had to wait 10 minutes to ask for another piece of toast as it took that long for them to come back out. By the time that I got another piece of toast, my sandwich was cold. Bacon - The bacon was served cold. Brownie - The brownie looked delicious and was large in size; however, was super dry. Chicken and Waffles/Waffles - My friend and her son stated that these were good and tasted like "cake". However, they did run out of waffle mix (around 10:30 AM), so my friend was served a pancake in place of the third waffle. The pancake looked odd as it looked like a scrambled egg, but my friend stated that it was good. Hot Chocolate - My daughter had this and stated that it did not taste good at all. She described it as tasting "woodsy". Other Notes: - Located inside of CTI Bank. Cute, large in size. - Tic Tac Toe is available for something to do while waiting (1 board). - Plenty of food/drink options. - Cashless. Unfortunately, we will probably not return to Good Cafe due to both food and service.

We really wanted to like this place. My daughter has Celiacs and we are always in search of gluten free options. Overall the food was well seasoned. Most items do not seem to be scratch made. The waffles are supposed to be made from scratch and were good. For the breakfast bowl the potatoes were well seasoned, bacon good, eggs were a little overdone and rubbery. The bagel breakfast sandwich was good - the bagels come from Trader Joe's. The burger tasted like a frozen patty and my family was not a fan of the dairy free cheese. The chicken for the chicken and waffles tasted like frozen chicken fingers out of a bag. The decor is modern, bright and lovely. The biggest problem is a poorly run kitchen with extremely slow service. It took 20 minutes to get our first dish and then each meal came out of the kitchen separately about 10 minutes apart. The kitchen was literally making full meals one at a time. No one else was in the restaurant when we arrived at 1:30 on a Monday. Several people had been waiting a long time when we left. There were other misses like serving bubble tea but not having bubble tea straws, tables with seating for 4 but only enough silverware for two and no extra silverware unless you took it from other tables. I hope someone can teach this restaurant better kitchen management and customer service because I would like to see them successful, but a lot will need to change.

I really want to like this place. It's new and it's close to many office buildings. I love the ambience! The staff are very nice young people. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the food. This is the first cold burger that was ever served to me. The bread was cold, and the patty was room temp. The only warm thing on my plate was the potatoes. Sadly, they were so bland I also tried the mango peach green tea which was just okay. I won't order it again. I really think they can do better and hopefully they will.

Chicken pita, salted caramel milkshake with a shot of espresso, and a brownie--all gluten and dairy free!

This place is absolutely amazing. It's not easy finding both gluten-free and dairy-free food that's also delicious, but they've done it! As someone with celiac disease, it's reassuring to know they can guarantee no cross-contamination, while again, still making it taste delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful (especially Michelle!). If I didn't live three hours away, I'd be here daily.

The Breakfast Waffle Sandwiches are CHEF'S KISS! I was fortunate to be there one day and the non-dairy items were very good.

I ordered the tiramisu matcha and it was delicious! It probably ties for my favorite matcha I've had in Columbus thus far. It took probably less than 5 minutes for our drinks to be made. While employees were nice, I can't say they were overly inviting. When asked about the bagged coffee beans and instant coffee, the employee offered very limited knowledge of it. I was unfamiliar with the coffee type so wanted more info. I purchased instant coffee and will research on my own. Biscoff Latte - not enough espresso flavor. The latte tasted like there was way too much milk. If I decide to return, I will order extra espresso shots as I didn't taste coffee. I understand lattes are made with milk but I prefer a balanced flavor of espresso in my lattes which I find typical at other coffee shops. My assumption is that the Biscoff flavor comes from the cookie butter on the walls of the cup. In order to taste Biscoff, you have to scrape the butter off the sides. Not what I was looking for. App & Pre-Orders: I was impressed with their app and ability to preorder. The app is very nice but according to the employee at the register - if you buy coffee beans or other merchandise, you cannot get points in the app. Not a deal breaker but would be nice if this was made possible. Interior Decor: I was impressed with the interior of this coffee shop. I thought it was bright, crisp and minimalistic. Loved the wall decor and lighting. I would not describe the space as cozy like other coffee shops but being different is good! Overall, I plan to give this place another try to taste the coffee in its true basic form - straight black coffee/espresso. I would also like to try the food options!

Had to get a Tito's Martini. Really well done. For dinner went with the steak and enchilada. Was a bit worried because they didn't ask for steak temp but wow, wow, wow great dish! Steak was fantastic and what a great combo with that cheesy enchilada. Had to get a cookie from what I over heard from others. Couldn't decide between praline peanut butter or the chocolate chip so got both, why not, I'm here a couple nights. Which one was better? Both were awesome, guess you will have to get both to decide.

The restaurant was very nice and huge with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I decided on their ricotta banana pancakes with a side of sausage and coffee. The coffee is self serve which was nice and they just give you a mug after you pay. So unlimited refills! Yes! Our food was brought over by our nice waiter which made sure we were taken care of so that was nice. The pancakes were very fluffy and light and were topped off with banana slices. The sausage on a side plate was super tasty. I could taste the pepper and rosemary seasoning and it was very juicy. The coffee was very good and I served myself another hot cup! I would definitely come back!

Updating my last review…read more I'm part of the rewards program They have this one pastry that's under four dollars that has around 300 cal in it. It's called the very very pastry. It's a good value and it tastes really good. And as far as pastries go, I don't feel like it's excessively sweet or color. You don't feel guilty eating it. So when I got the bing on my phone showing they had a St. Patrick's Day special buy a drink at a pastry. I headed that way. The young lady that works there is always very kind She'll take good care of you She said I could pick out any pastry that you wanted from the case didn't matter really the price as long as it was in the sandwich or a piece of cake so without looking at the price, I ordered an Irish Creme. Latte I went to go pick up my pastry. I settled on a strawberry custard pastry Came back and when she told me my total of just under nine dollars, I nearly died because that meant my coffee was nine dollars. Again that's my fault. I didn't read the sign. I didn't look at the price. I just assumed that no coffee would be in nine dollars. Lol. Lesson learned read their signs.!!! Ha ha. She was very sweet. She offered to change it out, which I took two sips of it and took her up on it as I hated it bwhy? Personal preference. It was just too sweet (for me) and tasted like a mocha. I asked her to make me a regular latte with steam milk. I went over to the bar bar, added some cinnamon to the top of it. And honestly, it tasted great for coffee that comes from a machine where you just press the button. I went home and I ate my pastry, which was delicious I highly recommend any of the pastries that have that custard. Again it just is very light tasting and it's usually paired with fruit and the calories normally are under 400 cal for something like that. As a little occasional sweet treat, I guess I do like it they definitely have nailed the café vibe the black-and-white checkered floor they keep meticulously clean Their little chairs that they have our darling and again I already have stated that I love their patio I think it's a nice family that runs this Despite it being a chain, they are local family. They treat their customers really nicely I will keep occasionally coming back Thank you for changing out my coffee -That was very much appreciated

It's truly special when a server makes the effort to get to know everyone at the table, make jokes and join in on the laughs. I was visiting Columbus for the weekend, and throughout the rest of my stay after dinner, I can say this meal was a highlight! The atmosphere was beautiful, and we were seated right away! The cocktails were amazing, I had a strawberry fields. Now as for the short ribs, they melted in my mouth! They paired perfectly with the risotto, truly a great plate of food that felt like home! I've honestly hesitated to write this review because this has been one of my family's favorite…read morerestaurants, and our experiences here have consistently been excellent--until now. We visited yesterday around 3 PM after seeing the new Mario movie. We didn't have a reservation, but seating wasn't an issue at that time. As always, the restaurant was clean, lively, and welcoming. The staff was very kind, and our waitress was attentive throughout our visit. We ordered many of our usual favorites, but my entrée--the braised short rib--was not quite up to the standard I've come to expect. While the meat itself was still tender, moist, and flavorful, the risotto was disappointing. It lacked its usual creamy texture and was noticeably too thick. Additionally, the dish was served with only carrots as the root vegetable, whereas in the past it has included a variety of vegetables that really elevated the overall flavor and presentation. I was especially disappointed because this was actually the first time I remembered to take a photo of my meal before digging in. I came in fully intending to finally leave a glowing five-star review based on all of our previous great experiences--but unfortunately, this visit didn't live up to that expectation. This was surprising, especially given how consistently great this dish--and the restaurant overall--has been during our previous visits. We've dined here at least five times this year and even celebrated our son's third birthday here, so this experience felt out of character. One difference worth noting is that we typically visit for dinner, and this was our first time coming during the afternoon. It's possible there may be differences in the kitchen or service during that time. We do plan to return, as we're hoping this was just an off day. This place has earned a lot of goodwill from us over time, but we wanted to share this experience in case it's helpful for others.
