I am more of a small business kind of person but when it comes to larger chains...I think Coco is probably my favourite when it comes to chain bubble tea stores. The quality has always been good at every branch that I have gone to. I ordered a Match Oreo Swirl Slush this time. I think this is just a limited time flavor that they're promoting for FIFA but I wish they would keep it around on the regular menu. I really enjoyed this drink! For sweetness level, it was 100%, 70%, or 0%. I usually opt for 50% sweetness but since that wasn't an option this time I went for 70% and no whipping cream. The drink had a marbleized effect of green and creme swirling together throughout the drink. The green was obviously Matcha. Not sure what the Creme colour was but it was a delicious drink. I'm giving four stars because I really like the drinks as well as the option to customize the sugar and ice levels on a lot of them. Also they have a larger selection of toppings compared to other boba places. So far my favourites are taro milk tea, matcha milk tea, and mango milk tea which I get with no sugar. Staff are hit or miss, the girl who served me yesterday was friendly and approachable. The other girl who wanted to take out the trash kind of rudely asked me to move out of the way though so that was a bit awkward and made the experience unpleasant. It could have also been a language barrier thing but she just came across very unpolite about it but hey at least the drinks here usually don't disappoint. I also like that they have a rewards system so after accumulating a certain amount of points you can get a free drink plus also get one on your birthday so 4 stars because I love the drinks here and I can adjust the taste, and minus one star because not all the staff are friendly. read more

Conveniently located in Metrotown with brightly lit interiors. I usually prefer Chatime's tea flavors as they use authentic oolong tea leaves from Taiwan and find drinks from Coco too sweet, yet I must confess to trying their promo at least once a month even if drinks are packed with sugars. Their service here has been excellent - very courteous and friendly thus leading to me surrendering to their cute drinks or gift each time I walk by their store. Note to self: avoid walking by storefront thirsty. Somehow I feel enticed to try their promo drinks when I see the pretty drinks with whip cream on marketing posters taped up on the windows. Plus the drinks have cute names too - strawberry dreamer... chocolate dreams... etc. If you wanna enjoy a "dreamy" drink, promo prices are reasonable and makes for a sweet indulgence. read more

It was quite a thrilling experience lining up at 8:50 when the mall closed at 9. The guy on cash told everyone that he was only taking orders until 9 and all of us may not get to order. Gaaaaaa!! In the end he was able to accommodate everyone. I ordered the bubble gaga at half sweet (my fault). I felt it wasn't sweet enough and made the drink more sour that I liked. I also didn't like the contrast of boba, coconut jelly with the seed like things. Otherwise, I will probably be back to order other drinks. They have monthly 10% off on predetermined drinks which helps the wallet a bit. read more

Newish bubble tea shop underneath the food court close to Hudson's Bay. Not sure what used to be here. Parking is availalbe in the Metropolis lot. The place has no seating at all (also at the time of writing), which is not a big deal since one can simply enjoy the drink in the mall instead. Pricing at the time of writing is $5-7. In line with most other places. The place has a really good (real) fresh fruit selection, which is a welcome change compared to the powdered garbage served at so many other places. As a result, the drinks do take 5-10 minutes to make. Something to keep in mind. For their toppings, they have the usual stuff like bubbles and coconut jelly. Their unique offering is the bubbles gaga. Really not sure what the gaga part is about as the drink just looked like passion fruit and coconut jelly. Looked online and according to the internets it is passion fruit with green tea and coconut jelly. In any case, the combo works great. The fruit was fresh. Even with 30% sweetness, I found the sweetness was sufficient. The seeds are nice and crunchy and tangy. Coconut jelly chunks were firm. Nice and refreshing on a hot day. Really impressed with this coco location and its servers! I ordered 4 drinks in total but when the server repeated the order back to me, I didn't realize she typed in 2 of the drinks wrong until after we received our order. But she happily replaced the 2 incorrectly made drinks. This is a very busy location but the staff seem to be hard working and they work really fast! All staff wear masks and there's plexiglass between the counter and customer. One other plus that other places might not have is the two way microphone. In a busy and loud area where it's hard to hear, the microphone makes it easy for customers to order even with their masks on, and easy for the staff to call out orders. read more

Surprised...I'm sticking my nose in someone else's business but was just in line at this place and a woman accidentally dropped her drink at the counter...I heard staff refuse to remake her drink as they said "you dropped it so you have to pay for iI suppose they're right but I've never seen such bad customer service. Dropped my drink today and I went up to the counter to ask if the cashier could throw the drink away for me. He asked me if I dropped it myself and I said yes and he replied that he couldn't do anything if I dropped it myself which I was fine with because I just wanted to throw the broken cup away. Then he repeatedly told me that there was a garbage can behind me ( I didn't notice the garbage can) as he was throwing the drink away. As I turned back and try to find tissue to clean up the mess he tells his coworkers that I was so unfortunate to have dropped my drink in Chinese in a very rude way while laughing . I notice that there were no tissues on the table so I turned back and asked in Chinese if there were any tissues I can use. He asked there's no tissue on the table and I said no and he was annoyed and walked back to get tissue to place in the dispenser. He turned back to me and said here now there's paper. I was annoyed at this point and stop wiping the miss and left. I worked in the milk tea business before and we were not taught to be treating our customers this rudely and we will replace the drinks if the customers dropped it by accident or a least cleaning up the mess in the store. Very disappointed in the service and will never come back. read more
