It's on a cute little main street area on King St W. The inside has a similar aesthetic to the other locations with the deer theme, brick wall, etc. My favourite drink from The Alley is their Royal #9 and this location made it well! Sometimes, the occasional location doesn't make it with that strong distinct blueberry milk tea taste but my husband and I agreed that this one was on point! This location also looked like it had the full menu like other The Alley locations. Staff here were quick and efficient, which was great as we are used to waiting a while at other locations. The drink was ready in a matter of minutes since we happened to come when it wasn't busy. I would definitely come back to this location when I'm in the area again!

The dine in area is closed and the restaurant is set up for strictly take out. I got the Deerioca Puff which basically the popular Deerioca Fever but with custard pudding to create a crème brûlée-like flavour. I love the alley for the fact that most of their ingredients are made from scratch, including their deerioca and sugarcane syrup!

There is also a bubble tea menu which I hope to explore the next time I'm up this way. We ordered "a brownie thing" on a signature buttermilk waffle with vanilla ice cream. (They also offer green tea and charcoal ice cream flavors). As you can see in the photo, the waffle was a decent size and was enough to share (if that's what you so choose to do). The customer service was pretty good, the aroma of the fresh waffles was amazing and the interior was stylish and welcoming. I highly recommend!

There were maybe 2-3 other tables that were taken. It does seem like a really nice place to study. The place is clean, with soft lighting, and lots of outlets! We ordered a Belgian waffle, with soft serve ice cream, & the mango cheesecake as topping. The total came to $15 which was a little surprising. The food took a little longer than expected. But it came out looking great. The swirl was sesame & vanilla which had hints of both flavors; subtle and not too sweet but it was a little icey rather than creamy. The waffle was fluffy. I did not like the mango or the cheesecake as they tasted somewhat stale. Overall, I think for $15 it was pricey and I would prefer heading to Toronto for a egg waffle for $3 instead.

If you are looking for regular milk tea, it's not as good as a chain store from taiwan or china. For the price, the food is okay. As for taste, it's hit or miss. Their fries are consistently good. Nice and crispy, soft in the middle with the right amount of seasoning. The amount of fries you get with their dollar specials is significantly smaller now compared to the past but are still worth it. The soy minced pork and popcorn chicken are delicious as well. I think the price is right with this bubble tea shop. There are some in hamilton that would charge much more for a simple milk tea but there are also some that would charge less. Things to know... 1. You can order $1, $2, or $2.50 snacks along with your bubble tea. 2. You can mix flavours but they will not guarantee it will taste good. I personally mix taro and strawberry. 3. One bathroom per gender. Relatively clean but the door to the girls bathroom does not lock and sometimes does not close properly. 4. You can write on the chalk board walls. 5. There are board games and cards for your enjoyment. 6. Parking is free and on the side/back of the building. 7. THIS PLACE IS CASH ONLY! 8. There is a stamp card available. Buy 9 drinks and get the 10th free.

It's bright, airy, and modern. We ordered 3 dishes to share: cauliflower wings, broccoli Mac n cheese, and the seitan chick'n sandwich. We also got 2 kombuchas and with tax and tip, the order came to $60. The food was yummy. I can't say it's the best vegan place I have ever been to, but it's definitely quite tasty. My favourite was the cauliflower wings followed by the seitan chick'n sandwich. I'm not crazy about nutritional yeast, so I didn't love the Mac n cheese. Overall, the menu has many options to choose from, which is a big plus in my opinion. Would recommend to both vegan and non-vegan eaters to try :)

Yes, this was refreshing after a day of hiking the falls of Hamilton. Yes, it was very healthy. Yes, service was amazingly friendly and cheerful. Yes, the atmosphere was relaxing and trendy. No, the smoothies were not amazing. Don't get me wrong, they were good, but they didn't exactly taste like what they were supposed to taste like. I think they just need to reformulate the amounts of the ingredients that go into the smoothies. All of their smoothies have a spinach and kale base. I ordered the Sobi-Smoothie "Strawberries and Cream", which had strawberries, bananas, coconut milk, almonds, and cranberries. My cousin ordered the Mumbai Mango, which had mangoes, bananas, and coconut milk. Our other cousin ordered the Chocolate Cherry. While I enjoyed tasting all the smoothies, I felt that they mostly tasted the same; the only smoothie where I could taste all the flavors was the Chocolate Cherry. The use of coconut milk in the other two smoothies was extremely heavy-handed because that was the dominant flavor in both of them. You couldn't even taste the bananas, which are usually a very strong flavor profile. It felt like we were mostly drinking the coconut milk smoothies with a hint of strawberries or a hint of mangoes, not the other way around. That said, you definitely feel good about yourself when you eat here because you know exactly what you're putting into your body. The GSB has a menu of foods, smoothies, and snacks that are all 100% organic and vegan; they are also an extremely green business (no pun intended) and compost all their waste -- even their cups, straws, and food containers are compost friendly. All in all, I'd check this place out again if I ever go back to Hamilton; I'd probably ask for less coconut milk though.
