Went to Coco nails today for the first time, And to say I wasn't pleased is an understatement. If you're going there for a simple gel manicure/pedicure it seemed like they knew what they were doing. If you're looking to get a fill/full of acrylics or tips I would NOT recommend. When I got there the staff was not completely welcoming, possibly because I'm not a regular (not a good way to gain loyal costumers). I started off with one lady, she put on the tips. One of the tips were completely crooked and when I put my hands under the light to cure my nails BURNED like nothing I've ever experienced (I've been getting my nails done consistently for over 7 years). First Lady did not fix the crooked tip, and then passed me onto the Second Lady to finish. I showed multiple pictures and consistently told her how I wanted my nails shaped because she didn't listen the first time when I politely said I wanted them coffin. She kept on making the almond even after the 4th time I said something. Second Lady then passed me back over to the First Lady to fix the shaping and I lost half the length I originally wanted due to her having to do filing. Shape still did not turn out the way I wanted but at this point I said thank you and let it be because I felt as if they were getting annoyed with me. I was then passed on to a third lady to finish putting on my gel color and I had color on my actual skin that was not taken off. After all that I then get to the counter to pay and was charged $90. Absurdly overpriced to begin with, but unacceptable considering the work that was done. read more

I booked for a gel mani and pedi a couple weeks ago. The service is great but because my appointment was 430 and the place shut at 6 pm (I believe) my pedicure was rushed. The lady who did my feet didn't ask about what shape I wanted for my nails and clearly they were already squared but she rounded them. Less than a week after my pedicure I felt like my calluses were almost as I didn't get a pedicure only 4 days ago. I asked for nail art on my manicure and they pulled out the small bottle that use to be the ones they would do french tips with for the brush. I haven't seen people use that in years. I wasn't impressed with the free-style nail art. My artist didnt do a good job cleaning up my cuticles and cut me a little. Two and half weeks later, one of my nails already started chipping so I dont feel that the Quality was worth the money. I would only come back here if there was no other appointments but there are many places around town to try. read more

All in all a great nail salon. Haven't been there since the fall and just recently went for a pedicure with my 6 year old granddaughter. Noticed the prices went up. 35.00 to 40.00 for my pedicure and 20.00 to 30.00 for my granddaughter's pedicure!!! I think that's a little much for a small child. They do a good job but to raise prices that much is crazy. I will think twice about going back there again! read more

I think this picture should say enough.... went in for a pedicure which was done by Julie. The pedicure was good, they definitely are a clean salon and use new files for each client. She barely painted a top coat on my nails. I sat for them to dry for about 10 minutes and then they needed the other drying seats for other people who were finishing up with their pedicures. So she sprayed my toe nails with that "quick drying spray" and then asked me to put my shoes on which caused the nail polish on the big toes to get messed up. She simply painted over it with the color and left big globs of nail polish on my toes. Can't believe I just paid $30 for this. And Chris watched the whole thing and didn't say anything. I live in blairstown so I usually go to a nail place closer to home. But it's Sunday and my regular place is closed, so I searched for a place that was open, and I came upon Coco Nails. I made an appointment because the other reviews noted that some are turned away if they don't have an appointment. I called at 10:30 and got a 12:15 appointment...pretty good. When I got there my first impression was the cleanliness and modern decor. The pedicure was about 45 minutes long, no rushing, lots of massage time. And they used lavender scented products, very soothing. The pedicure chairs are very nice. The massage feature is much nicer on these chairs than the others I've been in. When I went to pay I was a little nervous...surely this awesome pedicure wAs going to cost me! But I saw their price list and it was only $30! Yay me!! It was by far the best pedicure I've ever had. My mom was with me and said the same. This will be my new nail salon from now on. read more

My experience has been half and half with this salon. First of all, they have two locations. One in Hackettstown on Main St, the other in Mansfield on RT 57. My husband and I went to their Hackettstown location the first time, and had a great experience. We were walk-ins and though they were packed, they took us right in. The second time, I went alone to their Mansfield location, and though it was 4pm and walk-in, they said there wasn't enough time to do manicure and pedicure and asked if I minded having my nails done at the pedicure station by 2 techs because they were working on a party, understandably. I definitely said no, because that's negating the whole spa experience and then asked about any openings at their Main St location. They, instead took me in to their Main St spot and did a good job. The third time, my husband and I went on a rainy, Saturday afternoon just after 2pm as walk-ins to the Main St location this time and were flat out told they had no time because they had appts for 2:30! Hmmm. So instead we figure we'd try Mansfield, and they only had time to do pedicures but not manicures because again, appts, but there was barely anyone there. My advice: Both locations appear to be appointment only. Don't bother to walk-in. You won't be attended to or even squeezed in - even in the early afternoon. We may have to start driving back to our old location in Woodcliff Lake, Luxury Nails, where they've never turned us away and the experience has been 10-fold. read more

I came from out of town to visit for the holidays and I was distinctly NOT impressed. After trimming and filing my nails down, they did not clean under them. I could feel the sandy residue from the filing stuck with ne'er my nails while they were painting them. Gross. I could have lived with that, but the thing I can't get over is that only TWO days later the polish started to chip off. I thought it was a fluke on just one nail, but today, just 5 days after my manicure, I see polish chipping on two finger tips. The service felt rushed, they didn't ask if I wanted squared or rounded nails, and I watched the man taking appointments only pretend to check availability before suggesting a different time. (I was specifically watching for this bc my friend told me she suspected them of doing this because they ALWAYS suggest an alternative time when she calls to make an appointment, no matter when she suggests. She suspects they do it to make it seem harder/rarer to get an appointment. IDK why they do it but they definitely do it.) The sad thing is, my friend says this is one of the best salons in the area. I'm an African American female who walked in on a Sunday afternoon to a less than diverse crowd. I don't mind that so much. When I entered, no one spoke to me. I inquired from the first person working if I could get a color change on my nails. She was short and flatly said "no time". I thought maybe she would elaborate more but she just continued doing what she was doing. I then said "sooo should I wait or come back or what". She said "no we don't do you". I have to feel that it was because of my race and appearance. If not she could have politely explained their policy. I will never support businesses with terrible customer service! Recommendation for the staff there, greet people when they walk in, "appear" as if you are listening and answer questions in a respectful manner. Customers are coming to support you. If she had been polite, I may have considered coming to give them a try at a later date. I will never patronize this establishment and will tell others who don't fit their ideal customer image to stay away. read more

I found a new favorite nail salon! I started getting gel manicures recently but hadn't found a salon I wanted to be my regular until now. First, the salon is very nicely decorated and feels "luxe". They are clean, which should be a given, but is definitely a plus compared to others in the area. I had an appointment for a gel manicure and was taken right in at my time and called by name. Great customer service. The manicure itself - nothing was left out. Any little thing that another salon might leave out (like filing sharp edges at the end) - it was all included, as well as a mini shoulder massage, and hand and arm massage with a hot towel at the end. I can't wait to go back! The pedicure area was nicely appointed as well and I noticed that the tubs were cleaned thoroughly between clients. read more

The guy at the front desk asked me how he could help me, so I proceeded to say it was my first time there and asked if they could fix my nails. He then told me "not today". So I asked when I should come back and he told me he doesn't know. He was very rude to me, wouldn't make eye contact with me. I went to the Main Street location, first off I made an appointment and when I got there they tell me I didn't have one but we're still able to take me no problem After they tell me they don't do acrylic but can still give me tips, I ask for the price and I am told a full set with gel (which is better and safer ) , ls $60 with or without a gel polish topcoat (1st red flag) but I was out of options and needed them done that day. After about an hour I get wide flat, tips molded out of overlay, nothing like the length or shape I asked for but nicely painted though. No problem you can't win them all, but after about 4 days the first nail pops off while I'm making the bed - like a lee press on 3 days after that 2 more just popped off while doing regular daily tasks, then it was a wrap I had to take them off. so I basically paid $60 for lee press on nails, instead of being told no we can't do that. NEVER AGAIN, there is nothing worse than feeling like you got scammed and I def feel like I did. If I could give them 0 stars I would- poor customer service, poor work Next time I if you can't do a service don't say you can stick to overcharging for gel. I have been going here pretty regularly since September 2019. I only came back because the place was always clean and everyone I had did a nice job on my gel manicure. Though no one ever asked my preferences, I am not the most knowledgeable on what to ask for. Nonetheless, I have enjoyed mostly how my nails came out. My biggest problem is that the owner/man at the counter is always rude to me. Ignores me and doesn't say hello, always acts confused when I tell him my name, though I always make an appointment and show up timely. There is major disrespect when I am nothing but pleasant and polite. I believe this may be because I look younger than my age and appear easy to take advantage of, I get this a lot when I go to other salons and they do not care for the quality of my manicure. The last straw was a week ago when I made an appointment as always and showed up on time. They did not have a seat yet for me, and I would've been perfectly fine waiting, but instead without asking my opinion, started doing my nails on top of the drying counter. SO UNCOMFORTABLE and unprofessional. I feel bad for the hardworking girls as it is always the man pushing them and being rude. Then they raised the price $10 at checkout with no prior notice. This was my second visit to this salon. The first visit was to the salon in Hackettstown. Both are very nice but I prefer the Mansfield location. I feel the quality of the pedicure is second to none. They include massages that truly feel like you are at a resort. They also have new chairs with a bright and formal ambiance. There is a frequent visitor card as well that gets discounts when you visit more often. I look forward to visiting again soon. read more

The place is super clean so that's a plus. You 100% have to make an appointment and even with one you will probably wait about 15 min. The gel manicure I got was terrible I had to come back the next day to get 2 nails fixed that chipped. I have gone her for a few pedicures though and they do a good job. Eh, they are okay. I mean when they first opened they were amazing ! But now they have a revolving door of girls so there really isn't consistency with the quality. It really depends on who you get. What I will say that I love and would give five stars for is that it's quite !! No yelling in other languages or the techs talking to each other. That I love. When I go to get my nails done I want to relax I don't want to hear the yip yap of all the workers and the thoughts of "are they talking about me?" I've had a great experience here time I've gone except the most recent time. I got my nails done by the older women, Grace I think her name was? Anyway, she filed my nails so sloppily, cut my fingers with the file, and wasnt looking at what she was doing. I didnt say anything since I go there all the time. It was my first time getting that women to do my nails, (usually I don't request anyone specific) so next time I'll just ask who's doing them. When I moved into the area in July I really struggled finding a good nail place. I tried 3 or 4 nail salons before I decided to try CoCo and I'm so glad I did. They are always flexible even if I call at the last minute to fit me in. All of the girls that have done my nails are very good to the point where I don't feel I have to specially request someone I feel comfortable with all. And it doesn't hurt that the salon is absolutely clean, beautiful and modern. It may be a little bit on the pricier side in comparison to nearby salons but believe me when I say it's worth the few extra bucks to have peace of mind that my nails will always come out good and to just relax. read more

Unprofessional terrible owner, doesn't care about patrons. My first time there we arrived around 3:30, my mother, my daughter and myself asked for a mani pedi. They negotiated Pedi(s) due to time constraints. My daughter however was not able to be accommodated. My mother and myself were the last patrons there and we were still drying our nails, we were however forced to leave with wet nails and paper slippers on our feet. Another 15 min and we would have been fine. we decided to give them another chance this weekend, and arrived earlier. We were not able to be accommodated but were told to come back at 4:15 which we did. The owner did not want to serve us. I was appalled at his behavior and while I i tried to make point, I really did not want to patronize them. We are new to the area and thiS was the worst service ever. A total lack of empathy and respect for customers it's really a no star, review but there isn't an option. read more
